The nursing staff and all carers at The Manor Care Home are absolutely amazing. They treat all residents with respect, sensitivity and the utmost care, respecting their privacy and dignity.
The social activity staff are wonderful, organising a wide variety of activities and entertainment for all the residents to enjoy.

The cleaning staff also do a fantastic job keeping bedrooms and all areas of the Manor clean and tidy allowing safe access for all.

Fantastic home always friendly and welcoming. Just had a singer and entertainment with home made cakes and scones. Lots of dancing and laughter.
They work hard to make sure all residents are involved and able to join if they want to.
Everything is done with care checking what residents want.

They look after everyone really well my mum has been really happy and settled here for the past 18 months made friends and is settled in her home.

I visit my mum once a week, and my experience is always very good. The staff onsite are all lovely and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Nobody wants to put their parent in a care home. But when I leave the home, I know that my mum is in very good hands, and will be looked after. I'm updated if there are any issues regarding my mum, and I know my mum is happy being in there.

We've had a worrying time after my Mother having a fall & breaking her hip. She was discharged from hospital only 48hrs after the operation.
The nurses & carers have been absolutely fabulous in taking care of her. They have also been very assuring to me.

I couldn't ask for a better home for my Mum.

I visit Mum roughly monthly and it is apparent that all of the staff, regardless of role, treat the residents with kindness, friendship and dignity but also recognise me on every visit and this all helps build up that sense of community in the home. Recently, we were able to use a reserved room for a special family event with Mum and organise some lovely food provided from the kitchen and which contributed to a lovely afternoon which Mum really enjoyed. The ambience of The Manor has always been very high and with their lovely grounds there is much to enjoy outside with Mum when I visit with the warmer months approaching. Mum has recently referred to The Manor as 'home' and that says a lot about the standards and quality of care provided.

My mother has been resident in The Manor for four years and has advanced dementia. She can be quite challenging but is looked after with care, compassion and in a dignified fashion. The Manor was recommended by a healthcare professional and I am satisfied that the advice about the home was correct. I am happy to recommend the Manor to others.

A My Lovely care home in beautiful grounds. My mum was well cared for and treated with dignity by the wonderful carers and nurses. My mum could be difficult but the staff always treated her kindly with a smile on their face. The rooms are kept clean and have recently had an update. The food is amazing and if any resident is a bit fussy they will go over and beyond to make the person happy. Entertainment is brilliant.

Our mum sadly passed away on 3rd January 2025 aged 94. She has lived and been cared for at The Manor for the past 3.5 years. All of the staff have been kind, polite, caring, respectful and understanding and have always treated our mum with the utmost dignity. There are weekly activities including bingo, games, quizzes, animals visiting, singers, painting etc. They go on outings to the garden centre and are often out for walks or in the garden (weather permitting). The Manor is set in the most beautiful open grounds and garden. In the summer they have a BarBQ with a singer and raffle. They also have a wonderful Christmas Party. The rooms are spacious, en suite and most are recently refurbished. The food is exceptional, with a daily varied menu. We cannot recommend The Manor highly enough. The care our mum has received has been exceptional and we are so grateful to all of the wonderful carers and nurses who have looked after her and us over this time, thankyou.

My Mum has been a resident for just over 6 months. I have found all the staff no matter what their role is as caring thoughtful empathetic and fun. they promote to all this is your home they look to accommodate all requests. They have made what is a difficult time of moving to a care home less stressful for my Mum and for all of us as a family it is a lovely welcoming place. Everyone says hello and smiles and asks how you are.
The entertainment quizzes games singers etc is brilliant and picks up all the themes of the time fireworks divalli Halloween Christmas valentines etc and they are inclusive for all no matter what any residents struggles may be all are encouraged to join in if they wish.
Mum has made friends with residents and has a laugh with the staff.

although she would have always wanted to be in her own home circumstances prevented this now she really feels the manor is her home and she has a much bigger family around her.

Kester FraserJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2025

I’m proud to lead the team at The Manor Care Home, where we provide high-quality nursing, residential, dementia and respite care in a warm and welcoming environment.

I believe that choosing a care home is a significant decision, so we take the time to get to know every resident as an individual. By understanding their life story, preferences and routines, we can provide care that feels personal, reassuring and tailored to them.

For me, great care starts with trust, communication and strong relationships. I work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals to make sure everyone feels listened to, supported and involved.

I aim to lead by example and create a home where residents feel comfortable, respected and able to enjoy each day, with the confidence that expert care is always close at hand.

Abby HatteyJob Title:Acting Head ChefJoined: 2022

I’ve been part of The Manor since March 2022 and currently work as Acting Head Chef.

Before joining the home, I worked in busy tourist attractions and pubs, and I hold NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Professional Cookery. I love creating meals that residents enjoy, and I'm always looking for ways to make food both delicious and nutritious.

I was proud to be part of the team that completed the Raising Nutrition programme. It gave us the opportunity to introduce new ingredients, flavours and simple ways to add extra nutrition to meals and snacks, helping residents get even more from the food they eat.

The best part of my role is getting to know our residents and seeing how much they enjoy mealtimes. I also feel lucky to work with such a supportive team, and that's what makes The Manor such a special place to be.
