Mum has really settled well, with a beautiful room looking over the terrace and beyond to gorgeous grounds, which she often enjoys a walk around. There are daily activities to join in and it’s great to see them well attended when we pop to visit. The friendly care staff have got to know Mum and us, so we feel welcome each time we call or visit. We feel confident Mum is being well cared for, is safe and stimulated.

We were anxious about leaving our Mum in care after a horrible experience elsewhere. The staff at the Manor have been exceptional. They have taken the time to get to know Mum very well and they support and care for her with enormous compassion. The staff always have time to listen to us and respect our and Mum's, wishes. After each visit, we leave knowing that our lovely Mum is safe and well looked after.

I can’t thank the home enough for the care it has given my husband and also the peace of mind it has given me. It is a big decision to place a loved one in a home and The Manor Care Home was definitely the best.

My mother-in-law lived at The Manor for the last five years of her life and died at the age of 93.

The entire time she was there we were more than happy with the care she received. The Manor really seemed like home to her and that was because they really looked after her individual needs and she felt loved. The last week of her life the love and care she received was truly outstanding. Well done to the manager and your excellent team.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this care home, which is a shame.

This opinion is based on my personal experiences of having a close relative reside at The Manor Care home for just over 18 months.

I’m proud to lead the team at The Manor Care Home, where we provide high-quality nursing, residential, dementia and respite care in a warm and welcoming environment.

I believe that choosing a care home is a significant decision, so we take the time to get to know every resident as an individual. By understanding their life story, preferences and routines, we can provide care that feels personal, reassuring and tailored to them.

For me, great care starts with trust, communication and strong relationships. I work closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals to make sure everyone feels listened to, supported and involved.

I aim to lead by example and create a home where residents feel comfortable, respected and able to enjoy each day, with the confidence that expert care is always close at hand.

I’ve been part of The Manor since March 2022 and currently work as Acting Head Chef.

Before joining the home, I worked in busy tourist attractions and pubs, and I hold NVQ Levels 1 and 2 in Professional Cookery. I love creating meals that residents enjoy, and I'm always looking for ways to make food both delicious and nutritious.

I was proud to be part of the team that completed the Raising Nutrition programme. It gave us the opportunity to introduce new ingredients, flavours and simple ways to add extra nutrition to meals and snacks, helping residents get even more from the food they eat.

The best part of my role is getting to know our residents and seeing how much they enjoy mealtimes. I also feel lucky to work with such a supportive team, and that's what makes The Manor such a special place to be.
