I have spent most of my working life in leadership roles, but it is within the care sector that I have truly found my purpose. I began my career as a Nursery Nurse before moving into leisure and healthcare management, and for the past 20 years, I have worked within CQC-regulated care services.
Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles, from Registered Manager positions to turnaround and interim roles, helping services improve standards and create positive, sustainable change. I am proud to have supported four care homes in achieving a ‘Good’ CQC rating, including services within Bupa and Avery Homes, and to have helped improve a ‘Requires Improvement’ rating to ‘Good’ within 15 months at Castle House Group in Battersea.
Providing high-quality, person-centred care is at the heart of everything I do. I am passionate about ensuring every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and individuality, with care tailored to their unique needs and life experiences. I believe in being a visible, approachable, and hands-on leader, supporting both residents and staff to create a positive and welcoming environment.
My role at Buckler's Lodge is to offer support and advice to families who are looking for care for their loved ones. There is no greater reward for me than helping people on this journey into finding the right home. Away from work, I love to spend time with my family and friends.
I'm the Support Service Manager at Bucklers Lodge with over 11 years of experience in care.
I'm passionate about wellbeing and delivering person-centred support, ensuring every resident feels valued and at home.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two children and our dog, and in the summer, you'll often find me at steam rallies with my partner and his 100-year-old steam engine.
I joined Bucklers Lodge in October 2025 and manage a floor supporting residents with late-stage dementia.
I am a Registered General Nurse with an active PIN. Before moving from the NHS into care homes in 2005, I worked at both Frimley Park Hospital and St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey.
I love my role and am passionate about working with my team, who are supportive and dedicated to providing high-quality care.
I joined Bucklers Lodge as a Unit Manager in January 2026.
On the floor, we support some people who have early-onset dementia as well as those requiring general health and care support.
The teamwork here is excellent, and there is a clear sense of direction and understanding of what is expected, which I really value.
Previously, I worked in two care homes within Berkshire, starting as a Care Assistant. I completed my medication training and progressed to Senior Carer and Team Leader roles.
Bucklers Lodge is a friendly and welcoming place to work, and I have felt supported since joining the team.
I joined Greensleeves Care in February 2024 and work on the residential floor, where I enjoy building positive relationships with residents and working closely with my team.
I have completed a Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care Management, and I am also a Level 4 Care Practitioner, with experience in medication management and palliative care. I am proud to be part of a team that offers residents the reassurance of a true “home for life” environment.
I joined Buckler’s Lodge in November 2024 as a Care Assistant, after working in care since 2020 following a long career in air freight logistics. I really enjoy the warm atmosphere at Buckler’s Lodge and love that it feels like a true home. I have built a great bond with my colleagues and especially enjoy spending time with and interacting with the residents.
I joined Buckler’s Lodge in March 2024 as a Care Assistant, having previously worked in domiciliary care, providing end-of-life care to people in their own homes.
This is my first role within a care home, and I enjoy building strong relationships with residents and having the opportunity to support them on a one-to-one basis. I find Buckler’s Lodge to be a welcoming, bright environment with a supportive management team.
I joined Bucklers Lodge in March 2023. Originally, I ran a hair and beauty business in South Africa before moving to the UK in 2019.
After moving here, I worked as a live-in carer supporting a couple in their home.
I love my residents and really value the interactions we have together every day. Bucklers Lodge is beautiful — it feels like working in a luxury hotel.
