My mum loves every single carer , as she has been there a while now they know how to manage her and keep her as stress free and happy as possible . She genuinely is happy and the hallucinations that she was having at her own home stopped the day she moved into Buckler's .
I can ask all sorts of questions and nobody ever minds .
Everyone has made a really tough time a lot easier and I never have to worry about mum .
We cannot recommend Bucklers lodge enough . Genuinely kind people who look after their residents and families . Which makes it easier to chat to other families who are going through the same thing . What could've been a very lonely and frightening time has been made easier by these professionals who care and we will always been very grateful for so many happy memories at a very sad time .
Dear Sam, Thank you so much for this feedback, we are very proud to see it, and grateful for your time in doing so.
The staff are always very helpful and happy to stop what they are doing and answer any questions. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The whole building is quite new so everything looks smart. The manager is very engaged and knowledgeable about all the residents.

Thank you very much for this review. We are so pleased to read this, and we thank you for your time taken to write it.
A fabulous welcome for my elderly cousin. Everyone introduced themselves and welcomed him. The senior was even at the door to meet him on his arrival. Each person was very understanding about how big the change was for him. Thank you.

My mother went into respite for two weeks. I was very anxious as I had looked at a home for this purpose a few months ago and came away very uneasy and didn’t go through with it. From the moment I made contact to the moment I brought her back home has been made so easy for both of us. All the staff are very welcoming, it has a lovely, calm atmosphere with good facilities. But most importantly, every single member of staff has treated my mother with nothing but kindness. Nothing is too much trouble, a cup of tea, a hug and a chat. Mum is inclined to get anxious and upset easily but there was always someone to sit with her and calm her. The care is exceptional and I feel very relieved that I know she will be safe, loved and looked after. Since she came home, she hasn’t stopped praising every aspect of the home. I will definitely be taking her there again. Thank you all.
Hi Jan, thank you for your lovely words and we are pleased your mum enjoyed her stay here at Bucklers Lodge. We look forward to seeing Mum in the future. I will pass on your kind words to the staff team.

I spent a long while researching and visiting various care homes in the area, and Bucklers Lodge came out way ahead of the others. It is modern, spacious, light and vibrant - not a word you would expect to relate to a care home. The management are effective and efficient, the care staff are diligent and approachable. They take time to get to know the people they care for, and this shows in the way the whole place feels whenever I have visited. The amenities are first rate, the rooms clean and regularly tidied, and the whole place has a real buzz. This is mostly shown on the faces of the those who call Bucklers Lodge “home”. I try and make a point of speaking to as many other residents as I can when I visit, and the overwhelming feedback is very positive.
Thank you for your kind words and positive feedback. We are proud to call Bucklers Lodge our home and we are delighted you feel that way too.

My brother feels reassured this his safety is addressed and that he is given his medication. My brother is happy with support of the staff, he has some hearing difficulties and so he values nice, clear speech. He recognises that he needs assistance for food sometimes to be cut up for him, This can be difficult for him. I am delighted that he seems so happy in this care home.
Thank you for your kind words and review. I will share your kind comments with the staff.

I have spent most of my working life in leadership roles, but it is within the care sector that I have truly found my purpose. I began my career as a Nursery Nurse before moving into leisure and healthcare management, and for the past 20 years, I have worked within CQC-regulated care services.
Throughout my career, I have held a variety of roles, from Registered Manager positions to turnaround and interim roles, helping services improve standards and create positive, sustainable change. I am proud to have supported four care homes in achieving a ‘Good’ CQC rating, including services within Bupa and Avery Homes, and to have helped improve a ‘Requires Improvement’ rating to ‘Good’ within 15 months at Castle House Group in Battersea.
Providing high-quality, person-centred care is at the heart of everything I do. I am passionate about ensuring every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and individuality, with care tailored to their unique needs and life experiences. I believe in being a visible, approachable, and hands-on leader, supporting both residents and staff to create a positive and welcoming environment.

I joined Buckler’s Lodge in March 2024 as a Care Assistant, having previously worked in domiciliary care, providing end-of-life care to people in their own homes.
This is my first role within a care home, and I enjoy building strong relationships with residents and having the opportunity to support them on a one-to-one basis. I find Buckler’s Lodge to be a welcoming, bright environment with a supportive management team.

After moving here, I worked as a live-in carer supporting a couple in their home.
I love my residents and really value the interactions we have together every day. Bucklers Lodge is beautiful — it feels like working in a luxury hotel.
