My grandad has been at Sharnbrook House since January, and the difference in him is amazing. He used to be anxious every day, but now he's so much more relaxed and happy-it's truly heartwarming to see. The staff are wonderful, not just with him but with our whole family. They always take time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. The activities are great, and the food is honestly incredible-I always want a portion when I visit! For his birthday, they made him a personalised cake and really went all out to celebrate him. It's such a joy visiting now, knowing he's in great spirits and so well cared for. Thank you, Sharnbrook House, for making these years of his life so special.
Thank you so much for your beautiful review. We are absolutely thrilled to hear about the positive difference you've seen in your grandad since he joined us in January. Knowing that he is feeling more relaxed and happy truly means the world to our team - this is exactly the kind of care and...
Ali brings such joy by singing with my father-in-law-something he truly loves and looks forward to. One staff member keeps our family closely connected by regularly sending my wife lovely photos and updates of his daily activities, which means the world to us. And the fact that he's been welcomed to sit in the office has made him feel like his old self again-like he's back at work, with purpose and pride.
The compassion and thoughtfulness shown by the team have made a real difference in his life and ours. We are incredibly grateful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. We are truly delighted to hear how positive your father-in-law's experience has been since moving to Sharnbrook House in December. It means so much to us to know that he feels happy, engaged, and valued here.Your kind words...
When I have previously visited staff don't sit and chat which is not always a nice experience but this particular member took time to chat to me which was so comforting.
Thank you for your feedback, we are continuing to support your weekly visits and we do hope you will notice an improvement in the staff and management approach exceeding your expectations .
Moving a loved one into a care home is never an easy decision, but our experience with Sharnbrook House has been exceptional from the very beginning. My father joined the home in December last year, and the professionalism and warmth shown by two staff members immediately reassured us that he was in safe hands. Their support made an incredibly difficult transition so much easier for our family.
The entire care team is genuinely lovely, and it's clear they take pride in what they do. My father is truly happy there-whether it's the delicious home-cooked meals, the engaging entertainment, or the spotless cleaning and laundry services, everything runs seamlessly. Every time I visit, I find Dad happily chatting with the staff, which is a testament to the caring environment they've created.
Sharnbrook House has exceeded our expectations and we're deeply grateful to two of the staff and the entire team for making such a positive difference in Dad's life.
Thank you for your feedback, very much appreciated.
I cannot recommend Sharnbrook House enough. It's never an easy decision to place a family member into a care home, but the staff are so welcoming and caring that the transition for both my mum and me has been very easy. The care, respect and patience the staff show their residents is wonderful. The atmosphere in the home is relaxed and happy, and residents have everything they need. From personal care to making sure nutritional needs are met, everything is covered. There are communal areas that can be used for visits and beautiful gardens. Mum is settling in really well and I'm happy knowing she is receiving excellent care 24 hours a day.
Thank you for your feedback, it is an absolute pleasure to look after your mum
We have had an excellent experience with the care of my mother-in-law at Sharnbrook. The staff have been very patient, attentive, and caring. We could not have asked for a better engagement to encourage my MIL to participate during her stay for respite care. We noticed a significant improvement in her mobility during her stay. Thank you to all the staff who have supported her move into care and also for their constructive support as she transitioned from Sharnbrook. In our experience, the home is friendly and all carers were empathetic and genuine in their care and duties.
Thank you for your feedback, very much appreciated. We are glad your experience of Sharnbrook House was a positive one.
We were greeted in a friendly and professional manner on arrival. Our relative was nicely dressed and very contented with her care. She was served with excellent refreshments during our visit and was treated with dignity. She is clearly known and treated as an individual and her general health and mobility have improved during her time at Sharnbrook House.
Thank you very much for your review Rosemary, it is very important to us to get feedback from the families who are visiting their loved ones in the home. We wish you happy experiences with Sharnbrook House.
Due to Mum's dementia/health we needed to source urgent respite care for her. After visiting several homes, Sharnbrook was our preferred option. They were very accommodating in assessing Mum's needs and their ability to meet her needs. It was a smooth transition from her home into respite then permanent residence. Mum appears to have settled in well with safeguarding issues addressed and communication with family is excellent. Overall, we are very happy with Sharnbrook House.
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback and we take into consideration families' input in the running of the service in order to improve our residents' care and treatment.
It is always a pleasure to come and visit my mother-in-law who always has positive feedback regarding the home. The staff are always very helpful and approachable. The home is very good at updating the family with any health matters. My mother-in-law is very happy at Sharnbrook House, she loves the fact that her visitors are all made very welcome.
Thank you very much for your feedback, we are blessed to open the doors of Sharnbrook House to such beautiful families.
I have no worries for my partner being at Sharnbrook House, where she is well looked after. Each time I go to see her, I am always made welcome by the staff and they are always willing to help me enjoy my visit to see my partner. I never feel uncomfortable about going to Sharnbrook House.

The meals are excellent, and a good variety is served daily. Especially during the hot weather it was reassuring to see that the staff offered extra fluids throughout the day!
Sharnbrook House is a lovely bright, well-maintained and very clean home.
Thank you for your feedback, I will make sure this is shared with the team here.
Would definitely recommend it.

Staff are always very cheerful, positive and most helpful. My mother is not easy to look after, but the home manages this with grace and dignity. I shall always be very grateful. Whenever I leave the home, I feel that there is good in this world and that it will endure.

I am very pleased with the care and support provided to my mother-in-law at Sharnbrook House. She is very happy living there and joins in the activities provided there. The gardens are a beautiful asset for the home, which the residents and visitors can enjoy.
Well-managed, clean, happy home where guests and residents are cared for with dignity and compassion. Whenever I visit, it is calm.
Thank you for your feedback about the home. I will share your feedback with the team.
My grandmother stayed within the home, and as a family, we felt very reassured that she was being well looked after. She told us that her meals were served to her with "5-star appearance and quality". We would recommend Sharnbrook House to others.
Wonderful care is given to my father. He is very happy living here, and it's very comforting to know how well he is being looked after. Staff always go out of their way to make visitors welcome. Really great team showing kindness and hard work. Thank you.
I came in for respite care and left feeling renewed. I would certainly come again.
The care that my mother has received while she has been seriously ill, was excellent. Whenever I visited, she was always comfortable and clean and the staff were always helpful, kind and compassionate during this difficult time. I cannot thank them enough for all that they have done for us.
Excellent care home.

Meet the Team (7)

The team at Sharnbrook House ensure the residents are seen as individuals and they are encouraged by the staff to continue to maintain and enjoy their pastimes to the full.
Sharnbrook House is a 19th century period building situated in idyllic grounds with terraced gardens and pathways leading to its own lake. Sharnbrook House benefits from being in the hub of the village with all the local amenities within a short walking distance.
Sharnbrook House has always been part of the local community and all the staff team and volunteers continue to embrace the village spirit.I pride myself on always making myself available to all who come into contact with the home and will always find the time to sit and discuss any issues that may arise or just have a chat over a cup of tea.
The staff team and myself strongly believe that all who come into contact with the home should have a positive experience, whether they are residing or just visiting.
I personally believe that this is each individual’s home, not just a care home, where family and friends are always welcome.

home which is person centred. After 34 years of employment I have seen the home
change over the years and the changes have been all for the better. We are one big happy family.

Working as a Senior Care Assistant at Sharnbrook House supporting the residents who live here gives me such pleasure. It’s great to share so much fun and laughter with them, making it feel like we are all one happy family.

residents’ stay here is a happy one.

I was first employed at Sharnbrook House as the gardener in 2010. Ten and half years later I have progressed to Head of Maintenance, responsible for health and safety, risk assessments and fire safety within the home. I enjoy the varying tasks my job holds on a day-to-day basis especially when the residents interact with me whilst I am carrying out my duties, and I treat each one as an individual.

I enjoy working as a Care Assistant at Sharnbrook House. The residents who live here are lovely. They pick me up when I am having a bad day by making me laugh.

Having worked in my previous employer for over 23 years I took a big leap and applied for a similar position at Sharnbrook House and have been here now for 3 years. I enjoy my work but I especially love the clients who each have varying individual personalities and quirky little ways.
