I have always been impressed with The White House. My mother has been a resident for over a year. She is very happy to reside there. The staff are extremely kind, always happy and seem to really care about the residents. The location is really nice, in a quiet village with local amenities.

My family and myself are so happy with the White House as they have made my dads stay with them so nice. Its a weight off our minds when we leave him we know he is being looked after how we would want him to be and he is very safe. The staff see to his every needs and it has made our worries of him much less, knowing he is fine when we are not there.

Overall Experience

The care provided for mum is first class. The home is kept clean and in particular mum's room is cleaned daily. The housekeeping in respect of laundry and clothing could be improved. I often find clothes belonging to other residents in my mothers room. Her wardrobe and clothes drawers are always in need of tidying up. The most important part of the home being the personal care of my mother has been excellent for over 5 years.

Overall Experience

The overall care is satisfactory, but it does seem that the staff do very long shifts, sometimes back to back. Due to this things seem to get overlooked, like removing dentures, hearing aids, to which my mother-in-law has had two sets of dentures lost, her hearing aid washed and brace, to which we had to flag up! Management are poor and communication is very poor. The general staff we feel are good.

We are sorry to hear that Mr Flitton believes we are not meeting the standards we set ourselves, since receiving this review we have invited Mr Flitton and his wife to a meeting to discuss the concerns held and to plan a way forward. From this meeting we have come to an agreement on changes to Mr...
