This care home seems very friendly and welcoming. They have planned activities and they fundraised to give the clients some special days out. They have a nice garden when the weather is good. The food menu looks and smells very good. The only one thing I would say is it would be nice to have another room as when visiting it can be very busy.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write your review. It is very much appreciated by all the team at Applegarth. We love the garden too and are very much looking forward to warmer days where we can all enjoy it.
Good carers here, kind and considerate. Excellent food. Very clean - tidiness is helping.
Thanks for your lovely review and kind words, this means so much to the team to know you love being here.
This is my home!
Thanks Ron, we love having you here and enjoy your participation in all the activities!
Excellent care and attention at all times, unlike the larger organisations experienced.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review. We like to think of Applegarth as a 'home from home'.
Best ever seen.
Thank you Ellen, we are so pleased you love living here at Applegarth.
My mother has been in the home for 2 years, almost exclusively bed bound. I visit 2/3 times a week and have found the home truly excellent. She can be challenging but is treated with utmost dignity and respect. Staff are always willing to help, cheery and wonderful with mum. Never once have I doubted her level of care!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this amazing review.
I visited Applegarth to see a dear friend who had just moved there and the first impression was very good. The staff were wonderful - it was all very clean and comfortable. I shall visit again.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review, it is very much appreciated by all at Applegarth.
Wonderful welcome and highly uplifting experience throughout the visit. All the team at Applegarth are warm, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Our friend as a resident is extremely settled and feels the same way.
Thanks for sharing your review with us and the community.
My partner has been in Applegarth since September 2019 and had been there twice before for respite. He was extremely difficult when he first went there as he did not want to be there and just wanted to come home. There was no other option but for him to be there for his own safety. The staff handled him with such patience. At long last, he has settled down and I cannot praise the staff enough in how they have handled him. Applegarth is not "posh" but it is homely which is what you want for your relatives.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we really appreciate hearing your opinion.
My Dad has been resident for around 15 years.
Applegarth has looked after him extremely well.
My dad's physical health has improved to as good a level as could be expected.
My dad's mental health has improved beyond belief.
He is happy and feels safe.
He has some wonderful friends which include other residents and staff.
From a personal point of view, I do not worry about him.
I know if I need to be informed of any situation I receive a call promptly.
I am well received when I visit dad (around 4 times a week).
Brilliant.
