My mother has been at Wild Acres for several years and not once have I had any cause for concern over her well-being. She is looked after exceptionally well by a team of highly professional and compassionate staff. On more than one occasion they have been prompt in picking up health issues which I hadn’t
notice. The arrangement with the local GP is excellent because a dedicated doctor visits weekly and therefore small changes are detected before a major problem arises.


Whilst Wild Acres isn’t as plush as some of the larger chain homes it more than makes up for it in terms of quality of care and I can’t fault the cleanliness of it.


Although the home is run very professionally it’s also extremely friendly. The staff take the time to talk to the residents about their interests and they are encouraged to attend the various social activities. They go to great lengths to make sure every resident is well nourished. No matter how difficult a resident becomes they never give up on them.

As this is not a large care home there is a very personal touch to the care provided. There are plenty of in-house activities plus several outings a year. The food is extremely good and the overall care is very good.

The staff are excellent and my mother is very happy. There is always some activity going on so the atmosphere is very good. No chance for the residents to get bored. If they want they can stay in their room for some peace and quiet.

Good home, very well run, with plenty of interest to keep the residents occupied. Staff very welcoming and attentive to both visitors and residents. Staff are very busy, maybe could have a couple more staff members to ease the workload.

The overall care and professionalism of the staff goes beyond expectation and I am very happy to see my mother in secure hands. The general feel of the care home is friendly, relaxed, and it is run as a home from home with most of the residents clearly enjoying the community spirit. The rooms are kept
clean, but may be in need of updating, whilst the residents are encouraged to have as many personal possessions as they wish for their comfort and belonging. Residents are encouraged to participate in daily activities which appear to be well supported, lively and fun. Outings are arranged throughout the year and so far my mother has been on a boat trip, farm/falconry display, Savill Gardens and a local country park. All outings are fully supervised and appropriate transport is provided, although volunteers are always made very welcome.

Wild Acres provides excellent care and the staff are very approachable. Any concerns are always listened to and a very efficient management team take on board concerns. Excellent activities keep residents occupied and on fine days sit out on the patio and enjoy views is very pleasant. the food is good
with a choice of each meal. Visiting is never a problem, so one can visit anytime. My mother receives good care from kind staff. The home is clean and the residents are happy.

Andrina our Registered Manager always ensures we provide high-quality individual care in a nurturing and engaging environment so all our residents can live happy and fulfilling lives.


Andrina always goes that extra mile to ensure both residents and families are happy with the service we provide here at Wild Acres.”


Andrina was previously Dementia Lead/Unit Manager for five years for a large Wokingham care home and before this with another care provider in Wokingham, where Andrina worked her way up from Care Assistant to Training Support Manager/Crisis Management Team over a period of 17 years.


Andrina is currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, having already achieved a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Andrina graduated from Oxford and Worcestershire University In June 2020 as a Dementia Coach.
