We were offered four care homes when it became obvious that Mum needed professional care. We chose Wild Acres as soon as we saw it and looked at their online pictures. We have been very pleased with the premises, the staff and the care that Mum has been shown. She went to Wild Acres in a very poor state
having been in hospital with five broken ribs and a pacemaker fitted. The difference in her now has been nothing short of remarkable and she is very content to be there.

We were so lucky to have found Wild Acres for Mum. Having looked at the website, we really liked what we saw. The residents enjoying so many activities, indoors and outside on the patio. The location of the home seemed relaxed and homely, unfortunately, due to covid we haven't been inside. But we are
pleased that Mum has a lovely big room with a beautiful outlook. The staff have been brilliant in all aspects of Mum's care. Mum seems settled and happy.

I have been visiting my brother at Wild Acres every week since last year. He always looks clean and tidy, with hair regularly washed. He appears very happy and contented and I know he enjoys the food. He can no longer speak but he interacts with the staff so well, they seem to know exactly what he wants.
I am his legal guardian so I need to be absolutely sure and I am, I know he is in the best place. It is a very good home.

Mum has been at the home throughout lockdown, meaning it has been harder to create good relationships. Despite this, I feel I know the carers well and I trust and appreciate their care for her. They are clearly fond of her and feedback little anecdotes to me. As with any home, there have been little
issues to raise. These have been dealt with quickly and taken seriously- I know staff and managers listen to my opinions. I recommend the home to others.

After a very short settling in period, Mum now is very much at home in Wild Acres. As a worrier, she likes clear routines and is always happy that everything happens like clockwork. When I speak to her of an evening, she always says she’s had a lovely day and often comments how kind everyone is to her.
It is a real comfort for the family that she is in such good care. Thank you to all the amazing staff.

Wild Acres care home is a well-run care home with very caring staff, they have many activities for the elderly to keep them stimulated and they have a lot of fun. The food is plentiful with many choices served up for everybody’s preference. I cannot speak more highly of this home and I would strongly

I believe my mother is being well cared for. She has had several infections lately, and they have been picked up very quickly and treated much faster than has she been in her own home. It is hard to judge the facilities and activities at the moment because of the lockdown.

My mother has Dementia and the care and kindness she has received are outstanding. She is so happy and healthy and I could not wish for better, in fact, I have told my children to keep this lovely home at the top of the list, for when my turn comes around.

I have been visiting and contacting Wild Acres for over six years now and I have nothing but gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for the care, atmosphere and sheer love and respect shown to each and every resident. My mother testifies regularly to these facts. The whole show is run with efficiency
and a high level of regard to managerial roles. The control shown over the sad episode of the Coronavirus pandemic has been exemplary. I congratulate Wild Acres.

My dad was in Wild Acres care home from May 2018 to September 2020 and he could not have been in a better place.
From the time he moved in, to his passing away, he had the best possible care and was always treated with dignity. The staff all loved him and he enjoyed being looked after.
An amazing
care home who I would thoroughly recommend.

A homely environment, extremely well managed with a good atmosphere and well-planned activities for those who want them. Attentive care and good communication between staff, residents and family. Let me start by saying that Wild Acres as a care home is an absolute credit to all the staff who work there.
Mum and Dad both spent their last years in Wild Acres, Dad for about 9 months and Mum just under 4 years until she passed away recently and in all that time the care that they received was
second to none. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and any concerns, whether it be health problems or something more minor, then it was dealt with straight away.
Many of the carers have worked there for a number of years which is a big plus as the residents get to the know them and there's always plenty of good-natured banter, which is never a bad thing.
It is not a huge care home but it is very clean The food is good and varied and the residents are well looked after in a really friendly environment.
My family and I were frequent visitors and over the years the carers became friends to us all so, from Mum, Dad, and from us, many thanks for all the love and care.

When I first walked into Wild Acres, I got a feeling of family cosiness and that's just how it is. All the staff are so friendly, kind and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. All residents are lovingly cared for and made to feel at home. I could not have chosen a better, nicer nor more friendly place
for my husband to be cared for and he seems very content.

My mother is very well looked after at Wild Acres and I do not worry about her care. If anything is needed the staff email me and any matters are dealt with immediately. The care staff are always pleasant and her care is excellent.

Since Mum moved into Wild Acres in May, we have seen such a positive transformation. No longer lonely, smiles all the time, loves the staff and food. Mum enjoys the activities, looks healthier, well cared for and is thriving. It has a home from home atmosphere. Both Mum and I could no be happier.

This was my Uncles second visit to Wild Acres. His first was for respite in 2016 when he needed full-time care he wanted to return. He was a very independent gentleman and the manager and all the staff were just brilliant. His short time there was probably the happiest he had been in a long time. With

Both my father and mother have been residents here and have received first class care. The carers are thoughtful and never too busy to listen to my mother and to any concerns that we might have. Before placing my father here we visited many homes and were more than happy with the way we were made to
feel, comfortable and welcome. Sadly he passed away two years ago here and he died with dignity and care and most of all compassion. We stayed with him day and night and we received brilliant care too, nothing was too much trouble. I would gladly become a resident here!!

The staff are always kind to my aunt and me. No one is left to watch TV all day (unless they want to). Lots of activities and always a happy atmosphere. My aunt often thinks she is in a hotel!

My mother was a resident at Wild Acres until her death from cancer in December 2017. During that time she was always treated with kindness and dignity and nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. She always told us how happy and well looked after she was. When visiting we were welcomed and
given refreshments - and felt like visiting the family. During the last 3 months of her life, Mum needed more care. This was provided without complaint and with great patience - we were never less than certain she was well looked after. The manager and staff were at all times professional but caring; the activities were good and we were delighted that our mother was a resident.

Andrina always goes that extra mile to ensure both residents and families are happy with the service we provide here at Wild Acres.”


Andrina was previously Dementia Lead/Unit Manager for five years for a large Wokingham care home and before this with another care provider in Wokingham, where Andrina worked her way up from Care Assistant to Training Support Manager/Crisis Management Team over a period of 17 years.


Andrina is currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, having already achieved a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Andrina graduated from Oxford and Worcestershire University In June 2020 as a Dementia Coach.
