My uncle came to Wild Acres for respite care and it soon became evident that he needed more care and he is currently still here in residence. The staff are caring, kind, thoughtful and empathetic and have built a wonderful rapport with him. Wild Arces is warm and welcoming, tailoring the activities
to the resident's individual needs. Recently, my uncle enjoyed a birthday party at the home, and they thoughtfully organised a visit from an individual from the model museum, which he loves! They welcome our whole family, including my six children. The food is well-presented, wholesome and freshly produced on sites and my uncle relishes in it. I have no hesitation in recommending the home!

Early days yet to give a fully rounded review as resident has only been at Wild Acres since May 2024. From what I have seen so far, I am more than happy with the number of staff on duty at any time and they are always alert to what is happening with each resident. Everyone has been very helpful and
kind with the settling-in process. There is always something going on to stimulate and entertain the residents and I look forward to seeing how the garden progresses.

On my visits to see Mum at Wild Acres over the last three years it is plain to see the obvious (and genuine) care and kindness shown by all the staff to all the residents. In spite of her advanced dementia Mum seems to feel safe, secure and totally comfortable at Wild Acres, for which we can not thank
you enough.

Making the move from independent living to a care home setting has been a challenge for Mum who has dementia. Without exception, the staff have been kind, caring and supportive in helping her to adjust. I visit most days and am always given a warm welcome. The activities provided for the residents are
stimulating and varied. I am pleased that I chose Wild Acres as Mum's home.

Wild Acres Care Home, has a family feel to it, the staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much trouble. Birthdays are always catered for and residents are made to feel special, with cake and a special surprise individually chosen for each resident. Christmas was the same, even Christmas stockings.
My
mother has now been a resident for over a year and in that time, she has been very well cared for, medical issues dealt with promptly and she has been very happy and content.
As her daughter, I have been very well informed and the manager is very helpful and caring. I have no concerns.

My father's care has been exceptional from day one. The carers have been extremely professional and warm. Dad has really appreciated this and it's made a real difference to his well-being. Dad has needed a lot of support and assurance and everyone has been so good at understanding his needs and interests.

We have just had a lovely Easter Sunday at Wild Acres and the activity coordinators did an amazing job organising an Easter quiz, Easter egg hunt, egg rolling, and a wonderful raffle. We had a great buffet lunch too.
There have been so many activities leading up to this fun day and the residents were
excited for it. I am so happy that Mum lives here. The staff are all wonderful and take excellent care of the residents, and Mum is very happy here. Thank you to you all!

My Mum arrived at Wild Acres in January 2024 and has been made very welcome since the first day. She was a bit scared about living in a care home but now says best decision she has ever made. Her room is decorated with her own belongings from her previous home and she is so proud to show it off to family
and friends. She now joins in with all daily activities and especially enjoys singing, making things, and doing quizzes and exercises. She loves the company of other residents and is happy to chat. The staff has now helped/encouraged Mum to get walking with her zimmer again which is wonderful for her. She cannot wait to get out into the gardens when the weather is warmer. The food is exceptional and caters to everyone, Mum says delicious and nice to have a choice each day. She loves all of the friendly staff equally and they always answer any questions our family has regarding mum. The manager, is a lovely lady and I would like to thank her personally.

Attended the Christmas party and had a great time - residents, staff and family seemed to really enjoy themselves.
There was a lovely lady who came and sang Christmas songs.
They laid on food, which was really good.
A lovely time was had by all.

A caring home which offers good support to both residents and relatives. It is not a large home so the residents are known to staff and each other which leads to a friendly atmosphere. This is noticeable once front doors open. Activities are provided by two enthusiastic members of staff which adds to
the well-being of the residents. Doctors and chemists are close by.

My father has been at Wild Acres for nearly a year. His dementia is quite severe, and what a sad disease this is, yet he receives wonderful care from the lovely staff. They are warm and affectionate, treat him with great respect, encouraging him to engage and be involved in various activities. I popped
in this morning to see him, and enjoyed a wonderful hour of musical entertainment with a very professional singer, part of birthday celebrations for 2 residents. Everyone, including Dad, enjoyed themselves. Afterwards, everyone was looking forward to a delicious Sunday lunch, just like at home. The food is very good and homemade. I am always welcome there, and enjoy talking to other relatives. There is a real family feel. Staff work really hard to provide meaningful times for the residents. I am very grateful Dad has a place there.

My mother-in-law is an introvert, not actively seeking out the company of others. Initially, she would stay in her room and not take part in group activities. The care team and entertainment manager persevered and in the lead-up to Christmas, encouraged her to open up and join in. She now takes part
and seems to especially enjoy the quiz sessions. Even if she makes a dash for her room after. That bit of interaction does seem to lift her spirits.
She has always had difficult hair that seems to have a life of its own. One of the team is a wizz with hair and tames it for her with a French Plait, which she really appreciates and is most grateful for.
I dropped a star, even though it is her choice, only because her room does not have an ensuite. It is, however, good.
We are most grateful for and happy with the care she receives and the support the team gives her and us.

It is 30 months since the staff at Wild Acres took over care responsibilities for Mum. During this time, the quality of care received has been first-class. It has been such a relief to hand Mum over to the care of people who are such caring professionals.
Whilst it has been sad to witness Mum’s inevitable
continuing decline as the result of her dementia, it has been a great comfort to her family that she is receiving such outstanding care in her final years.
Wild Acres is in a lovely location, and Mum has such a comfortable room. However, great care is dependent upon great people, and all the staff that I have met have shown compassion, consideration, patience and professionalism. Inevitably, issues always happen, but it should never be about the issue itself, it should always be about how the issue is accepted and addressed. The manager and her team are responsive and willing to acknowledge issues and make sure that they are sorted.
Wild Acres has been an excellent choice for Mum.

I thank each day that we found this care home for our mother. Everything that the amazing staff here do is done with love, respect and compassion. Each resident is given individual attention, and nothing is too much trouble.
This month has been incredible. There has been a Christmas-themed activity
every day. Singers, entertained dancers, quizzes, baking, crafts - fabulous - what more can you ask for.

Lovely and caring staff members. Very welcoming and warm. Grandma's care if exceptional and she is always well-presented. The activities are always varied and include everyone including the families. Andrina our Registered Manager always ensures we provide high-quality individual care in a nurturing and engaging environment so all our residents can live happy and fulfilling lives.


Andrina always goes that extra mile to ensure both residents and families are happy with the service we provide here at Wild Acres.”


Andrina was previously Dementia Lead/Unit Manager for five years for a large Wokingham care home and before this with another care provider in Wokingham, where Andrina worked her way up from Care Assistant to Training Support Manager/Crisis Management Team over a period of 17 years.


Andrina is currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, having already achieved a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Andrina graduated from Oxford and Worcestershire University In June 2020 as a Dementia Coach.
