Set within an idyllic eight acres of beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside, Chesham Bois Manor offers the serenity and exclusivity of a traditional manor house, surrounded by beautifully manicured gardens.

Chesham Bois Manor offers a choice of spacious lounge and dining areas, and a traditional manor library room which is ideal for families wanting to host a special party or event in a safe and supported environment. Bedrooms are all single occupancy with en suite bathroom facilities. All bedrooms can be personalised with individual home comforts, which is actively encouraged by the homes dedicated team.

The original manor house has been tastefully extended to create a purpose-built, specialist and secure community, enabling tailored and holistic care for all stages of dementia progression. This courtyard style environment boasts safe, enclosed gardens and an indoor 'walking path' which promotes mobility and independence in all weather.

The beautiful gardens and natural woodland area at Chesham Bois Manor offer tranquil surroundings, with easy access pathways and plenty of space for outdoor activities and events in the warmer months. The newly added 'Primrose Cottage' provides an additional space for residents to enjoy some peace and independence, without having to leave the security of the manor grounds. The cottage is fully equipped with a kettle, fridge, comfortable sofas, a television, DVD player and radio.

The home's specialist Engagement Lead coordinates a varied calendar of social activities, entertainment and meaningful occupation suited to individual interests and abilities. The home also has its own transport available for making individual or group outings to places of interest. A regularly updated private 'relatives and friends' social page helps keep families informed with news and photographs from loved ones at the manor. The home also offers a video call service and access to iPads.

What an excellent experience and an excellent home. My Dad required some urgent respite care and this Home is just around the corner from where my Dad lives. Luckily for Dad, there was a room available, we were able to visit the very next day after making our initial enquiry and the following day Dad
checked in. My dad couldn't wait to stay and from the moment we arrived, the kindness and caring of all staff was immediately obvious. The home is spectacular and historic and has wonderful grounds. My dad is not the easiest of people to deal with at times but he was handled with care, kindness and respect, which was wonderful to see and was a relief to know that he was happy. My dad loved the menu choice, the cups of tea, the staff, the freedom, the activities and above all, the hugs he tried to get from everyone. This a lovely intimate Home where you can relax, have some peace and quiet if you want it or be social when you feel like it.

Chesham Bois Manor held a lovely BBQ for residents and their family and friends . The sun shone, the staff were amazing and the music was brilliant. Such a treat for my mum to attend a "normal" activity - think she thought she was at home for a family BBQ.

My mother has been a resident since May. She looks so much better since moving in and I feel extremely lucky to know she's so well looked after. We are always made to feel part of Chesham Bois Manor when we visit. She also loves the food!

My mother has been in Chesham Bois Manor for a year since she had a fall and was on the floor on her own for 18 hours. The staff are consistently kind and their parties are not infrequent - summer party, D-Day party, etc. They also have occasional outings and in-house activities. I feel my mother is
well cared for and as someone who loved gardens the grounds are a lovely place to sit in the summer. There is always ongoing maintenance so the place looks well cared for. We looked at half a dozen homes before selecting Chesham Bois Manor and the thing that impressed me about this (and one other) was that the residents are encouraged to sit in a communal area during the day rather than in their own rooms.

My brothers and I have been very pleased with our mother's care since she made Chesham Bois Manor her permanent home in March 2023.
The staff have all been excellent. They are committed, caring and very empathetic to their residents. They often go above and beyond their duties, staying past their shift
end time in order to help with a resident's particular issues. They prioritise pushing fluids and regular snacks throughout the day as well.
The home holds regular events to keep the residents engaged as well. Overall, it feels like a very happy place when you visit.

Friendly, helpful and accommodating within difficult times. Staff are patient with my mother-in-law, who does have some very complex needs. Visits are arranged carefully and with safety for all concerned.

Very friendly staff who always keep us updated with any issues or needs. Mum is very happy there and is clearly well looked after. There are activities (even in lockdown) for the residents in beautiful surroundings inside and outside. The financial side is efficient and always timely. Care is provided

This review is based on the fact that I have only seen Dad once since lockdown so I cannot review the current appearance of his room. I live three hours drive away. When I saw him in controlled conditions in December he looked clean and well and was cheerful. He is happy with how well he is looked after
and he enjoys the food. I have spoken to various members of staff who speak knowingly of him in a positive way. The staff have worked hard to sort out video calls for me and support contact by phone. I am confident that he is looked after well in a caring environment.

Mum was admitted to Chesham Bois Manor from hospital following a fall and with the restrictions at that time I really appreciated the help given to make the whole process as simple as possible. When I was able to visit she looked well cared for and happy, and the staff went out of their way to ensure
that she settled in well, involving me in the process where I was able to give feedback on preferences. Despite the restrictions on visiting, I can always talk on the phone to Mum any time, and it has been reassuring to see updates on social media with photographs of the ongoing activities for residents. Chesham Bois Manor was recommended by a friend whose father had been a resident, and from what I have seen I feel very reassured and impressed by the level of care given by the staff. This has really helped Mum to settle well and despite the current circumstances, I feel they have done an excellent job.

My mother has been in the care home for 7 years and is very settled and happy there. In the last couple of years there have been substantial improvements made in all areas of the home. The staff are very dedicated and caring and really make a difference to my mum. The management team are approachable
and will deal with any concerns or anxieties very quickly and efficiently. This is definitely a lovely welcoming place for loved ones to be cared for, giving the family peace of mind.

From the outset, the home strove to help us and to help Mother settle in. Over the past two and half years she has always appeared content, comfortable, clean, properly nourished, nicely turned out and generally well cared for - the carers we got to know were always cheerful and accommodating. Our picnics
with Mum in the conservatory always went down well and Mum was happy to sit and share the cakes and sweets we brought her.
Chesham Bois Manor was always clean and fresh – it feels more like a nice country hotel than a care home. Covid related practice has worked very effectively - the entire team there have genuinely had the interests of the residents' welfare at heart.
Sadly Mum recently passed away but the carer on duty that morning had the presence of mind to suggest we all visit that last day and we were able to spend a couple of hours with her which made such a difference. Thank you Chesham Bois Manor.

The management and administration of this care home are proving outstanding during the Covid-19 lockdown and I have full confidence in the leadership and policies which have so far kept the virus at bay. During lockdown, the residents are given the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities
both indoors and outside in fine weather. Mindful of the concerns of relatives, frequent email updates on events and activities at the home and in the wider B&M Group are sent to relatives while contact by phone or social media is also on offer. The home's Facebook photos are most reassuring regarding the wellbeing and comfort of the residents and particularly of my wife. The care staff are outstanding and it is obvious that there is close but safe interaction between all members of the team and the residents. My wife is clearly happy in the home and accepts the fact that her family and friends cannot visit her during this period.

I am delighted that my brother is being so well looked after. The staff are friendly, efficient and obviously care about the residents. It is always a pleasure to visit, you are certainly made to feel very welcome. I am impressed at the number of activities that have been introduced since my brother

Chesham Bois Manor, the grounds, and most importantly the incumbent staff and residents, display a close cohesive family appearing ever helpful at all times.
I think the words I would use whenever I visit would be dedicated professionalism.
As a visitor only, even I could feel my own stress levels
drop whilst basking in the tranquil atmosphere of such peaceful surroundings.

Amber was appointed Home Manager in August 2022 and brings with her 26 years experience of working in the care industry. Starting out her B&M Care career as a Senior Carer, she went on to gain further experience before returning to the B&M family to lead the team at the beautiful Chesham Bois Manor - Amber finally feels like she is home again.


Amber has gained many skills throughout her years and has several qualifications including a Level 5 in Health and Social Care. She has genuine empathy and compassion for ensuring that anyone in her care feels empowered and in control of their lives and decisions, embracing the wonderful ethos that B&M promotes.
