Bedrooms are all single occupancy with en suite bathroom facilities. All bedrooms can be personalised with individual home comforts, which is actively encouraged by the homes dedicated team.
The original manor house has been tastefully extended to create a purpose-built, specialist and secure community, enabling tailored and holistic care for all stages of dementia progression. This courtyard style environment boasts safe, enclosed gardens and an indoor 'walking path' which promotes mobility and independence in all weather.
The beautiful gardens and natural woodland area at Chesham Bois Manor offer tranquil surroundings, with easy access pathways and plenty of space for outdoor activities and events in the warmer months. The newly added 'Primrose Cottage' provides an additional space for residents to enjoy some peace and independence, without having to leave the security of the manor grounds. The staff are all so kind and knowledgeable, my mind is so at ease. They really treat residents so well, and I feel so welcome there when I visit. My mum and dad hadn't seen each other properly for a month, and the staff coordinated a reunion which brought a tear to everyone's eye!! What an excellent experience and an excellent home. My Dad required some urgent respite care and this Home is just around the corner from where my Dad lives. Luckily for Dad, there was a room available, we were able to visit the very next day after making our initial enquiry and the following day Dad checked in. My dad couldn't wait to stay and from the moment we arrived, the kindness and caring of all staff was immediately obvious. The home is spectacular and historic and has wonderful grounds. My dad is not the easiest of people to deal with at times but he was handled with care, kindness and respect, which was wonderful to see and was a relief to know that he was happy. My dad loved the menu choice, the cups of tea, the staff, the freedom, the activities and above all, the hugs he tried to get from everyone. This a lovely intimate Home where you can relax, have some peace and quiet if you want it or be social when you feel like it.

My mother has been in Chesham Bois Manor for a year since she had a fall and was on the floor on her own for 18 hours. The staff are consistently kind and their parties are not infrequent - summer party, D-Day party, etc. They also have occasional outings and in-house activities. I feel my mother is well cared for and as someone who loved gardens the grounds are a lovely place to sit in the summer. There is always ongoing maintenance so the place looks well cared for. We looked at half a dozen homes before selecting Chesham Bois Manor and the thing that impressed me about this (and one other) was that the residents are encouraged to sit in a communal area during the day rather than in their own rooms.

When I saw him in controlled conditions in December he looked clean and well and was cheerful. He is happy with how well he is looked after and he enjoys the food. I have spoken to various members of staff who speak knowingly of him in a positive way. The staff have worked hard to sort out video calls for me and support contact by phone. I am confident that he is looked after well in a caring environment.

Mum was admitted to Chesham Bois Manor from hospital following a fall and with the restrictions at that time I really appreciated the help given to make the whole process as simple as possible. When I was able to visit she looked well cared for and happy, and the staff went out of their way to ensure that she settled in well, involving me in the process where I was able to give feedback on preferences. Despite the restrictions on visiting, I can always talk on the phone to Mum any time, and it has been reassuring to see updates on social media with photographs of the ongoing activities for residents. Chesham Bois Manor was recommended by a friend whose father had been a resident, and from what I have seen I feel very reassured and impressed by the level of care given by the staff. This has really helped Mum to settle well and despite the current circumstances, I feel they have done an excellent job.
