As a family, we knew the moment we stepped inside St Andrews that this was the place for my mum to come and stay. Reception staff so very friendly, cheerful, helpful and understanding. We were able to choose Mum's room which has a lovely outlook onto the golf course which Mum likes to sit and watch
players go by. No matter what time or day I visit Mum, her room is always clean and tidy, and she is very happy living there and loves to partake in the activities which are held every day if she wants to.

My dad has now been here for 6 months. I've been very impressed with how each staff member has made an effort to get to know him and understand his individual needs . It feels very much like an extended family with lots of positivity, kindness and encouragement.
Even when he is being tricky, he is
supported sensitively. It must be difficult for him not knowing where he is several times in the day - but I am reassured knowing that he is safe and well cared for.
Reply from Eme Cameron, Home Manager at St Lauras Care HomeThank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. It means a great deal to our whole team. We're delighted to hear that your dad has settled in well over the past six months and that you feel the warmth, positivity, and family atmosphere we strive to create every day.
Getting to know each resident as an individual is at the heart of our approach, and it's wonderful to know that this has made a difference for your dad. Your kind words will be shared with the team, they'll be truly touched. Thank you for placing your trust in us and for being part of our extended family.

After visiting many care homes, St Laura's Care Home truly stood out. Two other homes declined my mum due to her advancing dementia, but St Laura's showed patience, understanding and genuine empathy from the start.
A heartfelt thank you to Eme, Claire & Angela for making Mum feel welcome and valued.
Their confidence in supporting residents through different stages of dementia gives me real reassurance that she could remain there long-term as her needs progress.
In what has been a very difficult journey, St Laura's gave us hope. I would highly recommend contacting St Laura's if you are looking for the very best care home for your loved one.

The staff from cleaners to assistants, nurses and management treated my mum like a Queen as she was passing away. They were so kind and you could see that this was more than a job, they truly cared to the extent each and everyone who has looked after mum came in to say their emotional goodbyes. A truly
remarkable bunch of people who supported our family through a difficult time. Even after her passing mum was treated with utmost respect, washing and drying her hair, dressing her in nice clothes which made our last glimpse of mum as nice as it could possibly have been. We will forever be grateful. Brendan

St Andrews is a very friendly, welcoming home for all its residents. The decor and cleanliness of the home makes it feel more homely than clinical. We live in Ireland and visit our cousin a couple of times a year, especially for her birthday in February. We are very impressed with the staff who care for her as she has Parkinson's
and dementia but they do a difficult job seamlessly!
The staff are always friendly, polite and helpful especially
Gemma from "Activities " who helps us keep in touch from afar with prearranged video calls calls.
Ashlyns is set in beautiful surroundings and is very well maintained and the lovely lady at reception always greets us with a smile and a chat.
Thank you to all the staff who care for our loved ones when we can't

Mum couldn't be happier. There are always plenty of entertainment and social events going on. We couldn't ask for
more for mum's health and happiness.

Templemore Care Home

Templemore Care Home has been exceptional from the outset. After a very difficult and stressful period navigating hospital discharge, assessments and Local Authority processes, moving my mum into Templemore has been a genuinely positive experience for our whole family.
The home itself is beautiful
and calm, but what truly stands out is the people. The staff have shown real warmth, kindness and professionalism, taking the time to get to know my mum as a person and helping her settle with dignity and reassurance. She already feels safe, comfortable and at home, which means everything to us.
Communication has been clear and compassionate throughout, and nothing has felt rushed or impersonal. It's obvious that residents' wellbeing genuinely comes first.
A huge thank you to Salina, Natalie and the wider team for the care and support you've shown. We are incredibly grateful and would highly recommend Templemore.

Ryeview Manor Care Home

My Dad stayed at Ryeview for 4 years and during that time I got to know the staff and facilities very well. I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my Dad received during his stay. It seemed to me that all members of staff from cleaners, to receptionists, to carers and managers were all naturally
skilled at looking after the best interests of their residents. It is a peaceful location with access to gardens if you are on the ground-floor. Regrettably my Dad passed away recently and I stayed with him at the home during his last days. The care he received during this difficult period was exemplary and I was moved by the number of staff who went out of their way to help him. A genuinely caring home.
Reply from Nina Szmigielska, Home Manager at Ryeview Manor Care HomeDear Mike,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words about Ryeview Manor and the care your Dad received.
I am truly sorry for your loss, and I hope you are doing as well as can be expected during this difficult time.
It means a great deal to all of us to hear that your Dad was well cared for during his four years with us, and especially during his final days. Your feedback will be shared with the whole team - they will be deeply touched to know that their compassion and dedication made a difference to both your Dad and your family.
Thank you again for your thoughtful message. Please know that it has been a privilege to care for your Dad, and we wish you and your family comfort and strength.
Kind regards,
Nina

The staff are amazing, so friendly, helpful and especially caring towards the residents. Some sad and funny things do happen along with the day to day routines, which happens in family life... all the staff take it in their stride. This really is a lovely place. Can't praise the staff enough. Thank

My Brother came to the Radley as a Dementia Resident in November 2025. The care from the staff has been absolutely amazing both for my brother and myself and my family. We feel that he is very well cared for, well fed and the staff work tirelessly to help him with his personal care.
Reply from Rachel Wickens, Home Manager at The Radley Care HomeThank you so much for taking the time to share your kind feedback. Our team work very hard to provide compassionate person-centred dementia care, so it means a great deal to know that this has been positive for your brother and your family.

Mum was not able to look after herself at home, but in the care home she has received great care. The care home has all mod cons, is always clean and tidy. The staff are all very professional and friendly, and take great care of mum. She receives great food, plenty of cups of tea, and has plenty
of people to chat to.
It was the right decision to place her in a home, and the right home for her.

Dalton Lodge

from Susie H (Sister of Resident) published on 5 February 2026

My sister arrived at Dalton Lodge as it was opening in December 2024 and really likes it there. She'd previously been in another carehome in the Walthamstow area but which wasn't as nice and which she didn't like.
The facilities at DL are brand new and the staff very friendly. My sister has multiple
problems which increase as her dementia progresses and mobility reduces. The care provided to help her cope is excellent, and the carers manage her brilliantly. The activities organised are fun and varied - flower arranging this morning, a national day last time I was over. And the food is good - my sister's put on 5+kgs since her arrival! I live abroad and visit every 3/4 months but it's very reassuring to know that my sister is in excellent caring hands. Even today as paramedics were called in for a fall, they left saying that Dalton Lodge was the nicest carehome they'd visited in the area. A big thanks to everyone at Dalton for making my sister's life as pleasant as possible
