Ryeview Manor Care Home

My Dad stayed at Ryeview for 4 years and during that time I got to know the staff and facilities very well. I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my Dad received during his stay. It seemed to me that all members of staff from cleaners, to receptionists, to carers and managers were all naturally
skilled at looking after the best interests of their residents. It is a peaceful location with access to gardens if you are on the ground-floor. Regrettably my Dad passed away recently and I stayed with him at the home during his last days. The care he received during this difficult period was exemplary and I was moved by the number of staff who went out of their way to help him. A genuinely caring home.
Reply from Nina Szmigielska, Home Manager at Ryeview Manor Care HomeDear Mike,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind words about Ryeview Manor and the care your Dad received.
I am truly sorry for your loss, and I hope you are doing as well as can be expected during this difficult time.
It means a great deal to all of us to hear that your Dad was well cared for during his four years with us, and especially during his final days. Your feedback will be shared with the whole team - they will be deeply touched to know that their compassion and dedication made a difference to both your Dad and your family.
Thank you again for your thoughtful message. Please know that it has been a privilege to care for your Dad, and we wish you and your family comfort and strength.
Kind regards,
Nina

Both of my parents are now residents of Chesham Bois Manor, and I can't begin to explain how much better everyone's quality of life has become - theirs and ours! The staff are all so kind and knowledgeable, my mind is so at ease. They really treat residents so well, and I feel so welcome there when
I visit. My mum and dad hadn't seen each other properly for a month, and the staff coordinated a reunion which brought a tear to everyone's eye!! I've had such detailed updates on how they are both getting on. Thank you all so much.

A beautiful care home that welcomes you as family and treats your loved ones with dignity, respect and kindness. The staff go above and beyond, lead by outstanding managers! They provide actives and themed events to include all individuals, no one gets left out. They have a private social media group,
that they share daily updates. This is a wonderful way to stay connected in between visits.
My dad has made wonderful friendships with the staff and residents. The staff ensure each visit with my father a special one.
It's never easy making that decision to put a loved one into care. We have regular updates on dad and that always gives peace of mind.
He is in the best hands and taken a huge weight of us as a family.
I can't thank Chesham Bois Manor enough for all the compassion, support and kindness given to us as a family.

My dad was made extremely welcome from day 1. The staff have been fantastic at helping him settle in and stay happy, feel safe and content. They have also been instrumental in putting me and other family members/friends at ease, and providing regular updates on medical and everyday things. I feel so
much more at ease knowing my dad is so well looked after and liked.

My Dad moved into Ryeview Manor in April. He was very confused and could hardly walk on arrival; he has changed so much since then, more independent, less anxious and less falls. I am very grateful for everyone at the home who has paid their part in making the move to a care home so stress free for
Dad and me too.
He loves being out in the beautiful gardens and joins in the activities when he chooses to do so. I love visiting him. The atmosphere is so welcoming and caring.

The chef is also brilliant and my mum enjoys virtually every meal ( and she was a very fussy eater). The only reason I put my only good is that perhaps the menu could be a little more varied, particularly at tea time. There is a lot of soup!!!

Mum has been in Ryeview Manor since early June. We are very impressed with the care she gets, she has settled in very well. The staff are very helpful and always let me know how mum is doing and are always friendly. Her room is lovely and clean and opens outside to the courtyard, we have sat our there
a few times and it is very peaceful and calm. Mum loves the food and they have a variety of different meals/snacks throughout the day. We visit mum weekly, which is great to be able to do and sometimes also pop in when we're passing, she is usually sat in the lounge watching TV or doing a puzzle or a sudoko. She seems very happy and calm and I would certainly recommend Ryview Manor, it has a warm, cheerful feeling to it and I know mum is now safe and well looked after.

My mum has been a resident here for 4 years and we are so grateful that she is in such a wonderful home. She has a lovely room, plenty of space and has built a lovely relationship with the fantastic carers and staff here, as well as the fellow residents. I am kept in the loop with regards to Mum's health
and wellbeing, and everyone is so kind, understanding, thoughtful and caring. I know that Mum is safe, even when her mental health is wobbly, and I'm confident that the staff know her really well and notice the little signs when she is becoming less stable, and know what to do to look after her. Mum has a more active social life than she did at home, and she enjoys the activities and outings. She is always telling me what she's been up to. Ryeview have given the whole family a lifeline by being there for Mum, and have taken away a great deal of the stress we were under before she went into care. Thank you Ryeview.

The Manager and her team couldn't be faulted at all with their care of my grandmother through her last 2.5 years. It is truly a home for life. The care team care with their heart, not just to earn money. My grandmother was blind, and they adapted parts of her room to ensure she felt safe moving around
her room without us asking them to. The activities available are brilliant and varied, tailored to the interests of the residents. The activity coordinator leads these activities with so much positive energy, I don't know how she does it! She is an absolute star! The carers really do care deeply for each one of the residents with such positivity for a job that at times must be challenging. When I originally looked for a care home for my grandmother, White Plains was my favourite by far. It felt like a home away from home. The lower number of residents made me think that there would be more care available and a more homely approach. I was not disappointed. Thank you for making my grandma's last years so happy.

Exceptional. All staff - carers, admin/ management, maintenance & cleaning - study resident info on families, lives, interests, etc to guide their discussions with residents, which is so personalised. People really care.
Facilities are excellent, with 2 outdoor spaces, etc. It's so comforting that
we chose the right place. Additional activities include visits to the owner's home & museums, picnic in the park, cheese & wine, etc.
Highly recommended.
