Review of St Leonards Care Home from Karen O (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 August 2026 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

Care staff and office staff welcome you with smiles and a relaxed attitude that makes St Leonards a real home. All staff understand needs, of residents and visitors. Mum is able to have her own surroundings and encouraged to display these as she wants. Management bend down to mums level (wheel chair!) to talk-not over her head-to her not about her.

My husband entered White Plains Care Home initially for 2 weeks respite for me and my daughter. It quickly became apparent that this would need to be a longer stay as we were only just surfacing from our caring role which we had been doing for a long time . My husband has complex needs.

We have felt welcome on each of our visits and have found my husband looking well cared for although obviously wanting to come home. His diabetes is well managed by the District Nurses who used to see him at home.

My husband's wheelchair went missing for a few days but was later found.

Review of White Plains Care Home from Mark S (Son of Resident) published on 17 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
We needed to find a suitable home for our father as he had been deemed unable to be alone at home following a fall and because of his dementia. White Plains was recommended to us by the daughter of a former resident.
Dad's been a respite/resident for approaching seven months. As a family we have been very pleased with the care home as a whole. The staff are really wonderful caring people as a whole and are invested in dad's general knowledge overall well being. Sometimes dad can be a little difficult and a bit stubborn but they always seem to work around that.
The food looks good and we feel that he is in a safe caring environment. The building and gardens are constantly being improved upon/decorated and so on.
We have a good working relationship with all the staff and management we come into contact with.

We are very happy to have found White Plains it was a very reliable recommendation

Overall Experience

I am very impressed with everything about St Leonards. There is a lovely, family atmosphere and a very stable caring staff who treat the residents with loving respect. Family are welcome at any time. The manager sets an excellent example approachable and taking an active interest in all the residents. They are very responsive to him and his care for them as individuals. Although I wish I could manage my husband at home (he has advanced dementia) this is the next best arrangement for us both, I'm grateful he's in St Leonards.

Review of Bury Lodge Care Home from Elizabeth W (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 April 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My 89 year-old father entered Bury Lodge nearly 1 year ago with dementia and a broken hip. The care he's received over this time has been exemplary, all the staff care for each and every one of their residents as if they are their own family. They are kind, attentive and professional and no request is ever too much trouble. The home is very well managed, it's always spotlessly clean and the support services - social enrichment, catering, laundry and property maintenance are all delivered efficiently and at the highest standard. There is a really warm atmosphere in the home, laughter is never far away. Residents' relatives are always made to feel welcome and that they are a valued part of their loved-one's care team. Communication between the staff and family is excellent. We are very grateful for all that the staff do for my father and would recommend Bury Lodge without hesitation.

Review of Ryeview Manor Care Home from Mike C (Son of Resident) published on 12 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

My Dad stayed at Ryeview for 4 years and during that time I got to know the staff and facilities very well. I cannot speak highly enough of the care that my Dad received during his stay. It seemed to me that all members of staff from cleaners, to receptionists, to carers and managers were all naturally skilled at looking after the best interests of their residents. It is a peaceful location with access to gardens if you are on the ground-floor. Regrettably my Dad passed away recently and I stayed with him at the home during his last days. The care he received during this difficult period was exemplary and I was moved by the number of staff who went out of their way to help him. A genuinely caring home.

Review of Chesham Bois Manor from Rachel T (Daughter of Resident) published on 4 February 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

Both of my parents are now residents of Chesham Bois Manor, and I can't begin to explain how much better everyone's quality of life has become - theirs and ours! The staff are all so kind and knowledgeable, my mind is so at ease. They really treat residents so well, and I feel so welcome there when I visit. My mum and dad hadn't seen each other properly for a month, and the staff coordinated a reunion which brought a tear to everyone's eye!! I've had such detailed updates on how they are both getting on. Thank you all so much.

A beautiful care home that welcomes you as family and treats your loved ones with dignity, respect and kindness. The staff go above and beyond, lead by outstanding managers! They provide actives and themed events to include all individuals, no one gets left out. They have a private social media group, that they share daily updates. This is a wonderful way to stay connected in between visits.
My dad has made wonderful friendships with the staff and residents. The staff ensure each visit with my father a special one.
It's never easy making that decision to put a loved one into care. We have regular updates on dad and that always gives peace of mind.
He is in the best hands and taken a huge weight of us as a family.

I can't thank Chesham Bois Manor enough for all the compassion, support and kindness given to us as a family.

My Dad moved into Ryeview Manor in April. He was very confused and could hardly walk on arrival; he has changed so much since then, more independent, less anxious and less falls. I am very grateful for everyone at the home who has paid their part in making the move to a care home so stress free for Dad and me too.

He loves being out in the beautiful gardens and joins in the activities when he chooses to do so. I love visiting him. The atmosphere is so welcoming and caring.

The care my mum receives is always excellent.
The chef is also brilliant and my mum enjoys virtually every meal ( and she was a very fussy eater). The only reason I put my only good is that perhaps the menu could be a little more varied, particularly at tea time. There is a lot of soup!!!

I love going into see my mum - the atmosphere is always warm, welcoming and extremely jolly. I cannot recommend Bury Lodge Beaconsfield enough.

Mum has been in Ryeview Manor since early June. We are very impressed with the care she gets, she has settled in very well. The staff are very helpful and always let me know how mum is doing and are always friendly. Her room is lovely and clean and opens outside to the courtyard, we have sat our there a few times and it is very peaceful and calm. Mum loves the food and they have a variety of different meals/snacks throughout the day. We visit mum weekly, which is great to be able to do and sometimes also pop in when we're passing, she is usually sat in the lounge watching TV or doing a puzzle or a sudoko. She seems very happy and calm and I would certainly recommend Ryview Manor, it has a warm, cheerful feeling to it and I know mum is now safe and well looked after.
