My Brother came to the Radley as a Dementia Resident in November 2025. The care from the staff has been absolutely amazing both for my brother and myself and my family. We feel that he is very well cared for, well fed and the staff work tirelessly to help him with his personal care.

Mum was not able to look after herself at home, but in the care home she has received great care. The care home has all mod cons, is always clean and tidy. The staff are all very professional and friendly, and take great care of mum. She receives great food, plenty of cups of tea, and has plenty
of people to chat to.

It was the right decision to place her in a home, and the right home for her.

Hillview are amazing! My mum moved here in September 2025 with a reluctance to move from her home and area. But from her initial meeting with the staff she is living her best life after a tough few years. The settling in period was managed very well and she was made to feel so welcome.

I cannot fault

the staff, they treat my mum like she is family and continue to keep her independent. Everyone is friendly and attentive when I have any questions and they always have the time to help.

Thank you Hillview for providing a safe home for my mum.

Mum has now celebrated her 100th birthday at Osbourne Court. We had a large family gathering, and we were able to use the newly refurbished lounge for ourselves. Mum had a great time, and all the family felt welcome. She has settled in well. I take her out in her wheelchair, when the weather allows,
around the town. She likes to have company and will mostly join in the activities.

St Matthews Care Home

from Kerry W (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2026
Submitted via Website • Report
Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum has now been living at St Matthews for one year. Initially we arranged for her to stay on a respite only basis following a number of falls at home and a brief stay in hospital. However, it soon became apparent that Mum was so much better off in the care home, even though she would have preferred
to stay in her own home if that were possible.
From the moment we walked in and got such a lovely warm welcome from Susie on the reception desk, I felt such a huge sense of relief. I can't fault the care Mum has received in Meadows and without exception each of the staff have been absolutely brilliant. They are so very kind, patient and empathetic to each of the residents. The home is kept spotlessly clean and the staff do everything they can to engage and stimulate the residents with various activities, should they wish to join in. Mum prefers to stay in her room and not socialise much but loves the trips out and the poetry events. I can't recommend St Matthews highly enough.
Reply from Angela Hunt, Marketing Manager at St Matthews Care HomeThank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your mother's journey with us over the past year. We know how difficult the transition from home to residential care can be, so hearing that you felt a 'huge sense of relief' from day one means the world to us.
I will be sure to pass your praise along to Susie and the entire team in Meadows-they truly care for our residents like family, and they will be delighted to know their patience and empathy haven't gone unnoticed. It's also lovely to hear that your Mum is enjoying the poetry events and our trips out!
Thank you for recommending St Matthews so highly. It is a privilege to care for your mother.

My father was moved to Osbourne Court earlier in 2025, due to his previous care home being inadequate to his needs. I feel our family was gaslighted by the previous care home, making my father out to be the problem, when in actual fact it was the Home who kept him imprisoned in his room and not prepared
to help him back onto his feet. Osbourne Court on the other hand gave him a massive welcome, put their metaphorical arms around him and got him back on his feet on his very first day. He has flourished and his mental and physical health has settled. All of the personnel have kindness and care at the heart of their work and my father said only a few days ago - "everyone is lovely here"

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My review is still the same as past reviews, which is good as it means St Josephs continues to be excellent in my eyes. The new and ongoing refurbishment has been great with some fantastic added touches, especially in Kingfisher. I first became involved when my mum became a resident. Soon after that
I started to volunteer and began to feel part of a wonderful professional and genuinely caring team. I've been a volunteer for just over five years now. Sadly mum passed away after five happy years at St Josephs and I could have stopped volunteering. I wouldn't, however, still be doing it if I didn't enjoy time with the residents and staff valuing all they do.

My aunt has been resident at The Lodge in excess of 2 years. I have such confidence in the care my aunt receives that I am not anxious or worried if I am unable to visit frequently. My aunt can be difficult to deal with yet all members of staff, kitchen staff and cleaners included, sympathetically and

The staff all appear to be well informed of my aunt's history. I feel they are genuinely interested. Housekeeping and cleanliness is also to a good standard.

There is also an extensive activities programme. Mum enjoys the musical entertainment and it is
lovely to be able to attend with her.
From the moment mum moved in (initally on respite) we have been so impressed with the level of care and attention to detail. We cannot praise staff enough for all their kindness, patience and respect of her privacy and dignity. We feel very thankful to have been able to obtain a place for mum just at the pount she needed it.

Milford Lodge

My mother was a resident in Milford lodge for almost 2 years .The care and attention to detail and personalised approach was very impressive .The staff were helpful, cheerful and enthusiastic and very responsive to my family as relatives.
She died in December in the care home after a short illness.
I wanted to particularly highlight the quality of terminal care she received .Her dignity was preserved to the end . Her needs were addressed in a timely fashion and the staff worked well with medical and and nursing staff to provide a very high quality of care . In particular the members of the family who were with her in those last days want to thank the staff as we were never made to feel in the way -we were cared for too with drinks and food and a place to rest.

It was a genuine privilege to care for your dear mother over the past few years, and we feel honoured to have been part of her journey. Your kind words mean a great deal to our team. Lindsey

The Chadwick Care Home

I could not be more happy, or more impressed, with the support and service provided by The Chadwick environment and team. Dad joined a couple of months ago and he has settled so well. Dad was living alone, with vascular dementia, and it was increasingly apparent he was no longer safe at care for himself
within his own home. A fall led to hospitalisation, and a steep decline to his dementia and behaviour issues, due to the chaotic environment other care homes were not willing to accept him, whereas The Chadwick reassured us in a calm environment he would thrive. They have demonstrated they excel at all aspects of dementia care. Dad and family are so pleased we found this facility.

Ashlyns Care Home

My father has been at Ashlyn's care home for 6 weeks now. I can honestly say that the whole experience and for both my father and I, has been excellent. I would draw particular attention to the staff. Nothing is too much trouble and their civility, kindness and friendliness is particularly noticeable.
Overall the home is incredibly clean, efficient and indeed almost homely. If anything and I mean this is a complementary way, it feels more like a very good hotel for the senior members of society! I would have absolute no hesitation in recommending Ashlyn's. Top marks!
Reply from Diane Delicate, Manager at Ashlyns Care HomeThank you so much for the wonderful review. Your father has settled in very well and making himself at home. We do endeavour to make our home very homely and to enable everyone to fee comfortable when they visit.

My husband has been in the care of St Lauras for a month. The feeling on entering St Lauras ' is warm end inviting. It is very well furnished and decorated. The staff are instantly caring and passionate about their role. Every one is treated with dignity. The staff are excellent, from the admin to
the carers, the domestic staff and caterers.
Many of the carers go above and beyond what is required of them. It is not just a job, they really care. We feel happy that my husband is being well looked after.
