The home is clean and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere . The team keeps us well informed and gives us confidence that my mother is safe, comfortable and well looked after.
We are very grateful for the care and support provided and wouldn't hesitate to recommend St Matthew's to other families . I would like to mention Susy in admin who was extremely caring and helpful when we were starting the process it's.one of the hardest decisions a family has to make , Susy made our journey so much easier . There are so many names I could mention , we certainly made the right decision .

Thank you St Matthew's

I can't praise Montrose highly enough. Caring staff, comfortable rooms, good food, lovely garden area to sit in and very clean and well maintained rooms to socialise in. The entertainment manager is excellent. So many activities arranged from visiting musicians and singers, to outings, artwork classes, pub visits and walks. My friend has settled well and is very happy there.

The home is always extremely clean, tidy and fresh.
All the staff and very professional, friendly and really go the extra step to help my mother feel welcomed and most importantly safe.
There are daily activities and often trips outside of the home.

It feels more like a hotel than a care home with excellent facilities.

Review of The Chadwick Care Home from Julie C (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 August 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum has been a resident at The Chadwick Care Home for just over a year. She is very well cared for by all the carers. Although she doesn't come out of her room now she has always and still is encouraged by the carers to sit/eat in the lounge. They are checking she is ok & comfortable all the time. Making sure she has plenty of fluids and pain relief when required. I spend quite a lot of time visiting and the staff are always keeping me updated on Mums health and other information I may ask about. They home is clean, the food varied and nutritional. There are many activities, coffee mornings, garden parties and entertainment for the residents to attend and much encouragement from the staff to do so.

I am happy with the way Mum is looked after with care, respect and kindness.

She always looks sparkly and clean and has even put some weight on which she needed to do.
It's lovely to see her engaging in activities and the staff are all very caring and kind.

My Dad has been at Ashlyns for 4 months now. Its a lovely home, full of lovely people. All on one level with lovely gardens and a courtyard, which is great for mobility. Plenty of lounges to relax and host visitors. The rooms vary in size but are all clean and bright. Nice bright bathroon, kept very clean. Plenty of entetainment to keep residents stimulated and happy. Trips out of the home too. All care staff ive encountered have been friendly and engaging. Im happy that my Dad is happy and has help at hand if required.

The staff are extremely hard working but always with a smile. They provide fun for the residents and try really hard to keep them amused and engaged - not easy on the dementia unit. From reception, to the manager, the carers and even the cleaners, they are all so pleasant and welcoming.

My experience has been nothing but faultless concerning the care of my father. From the facilities to the care givers, to the activities programme provided. Excellence is a word given to often when unwarranted but in the case of this care home is totally justified.

Review of St Lauras Care Home from Iris M (Respite Resident) published on 31 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
I recently stayed at St Laura's for 3 weeks with my husband, who has Parkinsons with dementia, whilst our bathroom was being converted into a wet room. My husband needed a 'Profile' bed and Eme the Manager arranged for 2 beds to be put into one of their larger rooms. The whole home has the feeling of a hotel, very friendly from the moment you walk through the door, it has excellent communal rooms and a menu of top quality meals.
The staff are like one big family, excellently led by Eme. All staff work as a team and they interchange floors on a daily basis working alongside different team members. All staff were always smiling and friendly towards the residents and always gave them time. Their dedication to the job was amazing.
The activities are very well planned and varied led by charismatic staff who encourage residents to participate to keep them physically and mentally stimulated.

I was there 24//7 so saw how the home worked day and night. I cannot fault the home at all.

Reply from Eme Cameron, Home Manager at St Lauras Care Home
It was an absolute pleasure to have you and your husband stay with us for a respite stay. The love, devotion and connection you share is truly special, and it was a privilege for us to witness and be a small part of that during your time here.

Review of The Radley Care Home from Deborah M (Daughter of Resident) published on 27 July 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My dad has been here for just over 3 months. Given the size of the home and number of staff I hadn't expected them all to get to know him so well. Even the cooks at the weekends know who he is and a little about what he likes / his interests. Staff are particularly good at reminding him (which he needs) that he lives there, it's his home, and everyone there is like an extended family.
I am promptly notified of any worries and he has experienced a few lovely days outs and events at the home.
I feel that he is both safe and receives "kind care".

I appreciate much of the building is new, and the rest is refurbished so maybe not a fair comparison to other homes - but the furnishings and decor are lovely. Rooms are a good size.
