The Radley Care Home

When we went to look at the home we were shown a ground floor light and airy room. On arrival we were given a very different room and upon querying were told that we should not have been shown the other room. But it happened twice. That's not good at all !!!!

There are regular activities including music and games.

When I visit I always find my friend clean and tidy. The staff have a great relaxed and funny relationship with the client. Staff from all positions are helpful and friendly. The social activities are absolutely fantastic and great to see the happy residents on Facebook.

I appreciate much of the building is new, and the rest is refurbished so maybe not a fair comparison to other homes - but the furnishings and decor are lovely. Rooms are a good size.

Visited friend who's being cared for at The Radley care home. She is treated with kindness dignity and respect all the times we've visited. Very impressed with staff.

I can not adequately express how reassuring these first few days have been. He is a change man and so much happier. We thank you all.

The Radley Care Home is an amazing place. Rachel and all the staff go above and beyond. My mum was very well looked after and cared for on her 3 week restbite and I will have no hesitation using them again and hopefully in later years having my mum there on a full time basis. Thank you everyone (p.s food could be a little better!)

The staff are amazing and my father is so happy here at the Radley in Borehamwood. He's looked after so well by the staff. Since the Refab, it looks absolutely amazing here it's warm it's comfortable and it's a pleasure to come and see my dad.

My Brother came to the Radley as a Dementia Resident in November 2025. The care from the staff has been absolutely amazing both for my brother and myself and my family. We feel that he is very well cared for, well fed and the staff work tirelessly to help him with his personal care.

The staff at the Radley Care Home are truly wonderful, and I cannot praise them highly enough. They show genuine kindness, patience, and attention to every resident, always going above and beyond to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and valued. The care and compassion my mother receives gives our family great peace of mind, and it's clear how happy and well looked after she is. We are incredibly grateful to the entire team and would wholeheartedly recommend Radley Care Home to anyone considering becoming a resident.

What an amazing place. My mum has improved beyond belief since entering. She came to the home unable to care for herself, very under weight and generally unwell. The care she has received has been outstanding. Having been there since August she now takes her meds, is eating and putting on weight and generally loves it . The staff are so lovely and the atmosphere is kind and loving. It feels like home from home. I cannot praise the place enough.

I recently visited the Radley and was rather impressed by changes and modifications being made. The first thing you notice is the amazing new development that looks nearly complete. When in the care home I was greeted buy welcoming staff and excellent managent service, I would say from visiting before to now positive changes have been made and will look to continue to do i feel very happy in the choice of this care home for my mother keep up the good work many thanks

The Radley Care Home is an excellent care home that seems to deal well with the needs of individual residents well and efficiently. The new extension and gardens are excellent and give the home a lovely, spacious feel. The carers seem on the whole to be totally responsive to the residents and are calm, cool and caring in most situations. They go beyond what is expected of them and are always there to comfort and help the residents. My only criticism is that there doesn't seem to be enough staff - especially at weekends. This means that on many occasions there are up to 8 residents in the lounge or dining room without any supervision or anyone there to interact with them - this does concern me. Activities are fun and inclusive although I feel there should be more at weekends as the residents get bored without the structure of the week day.

Always very friendly and helpful staff at the Care Home and kept in good condition. Well kept and modern. It looks good with the refurbishment. It is a good location too. Thank you very much.

The Radley Care home has been outstanding in their support during the transition from home/hospital to care home. Those who are on this journey know how difficult navigating the funding, referrals etc can be. We received advice care and a listening ear when things became difficult. Our dear friend was made to feel welcome and treated exactly as we would wish her to be treated. They monitor her fluid intake, food, and movement. Things which give us peace of mind. They know when to be assertive and when to be kind. Our whole experience has been positive. The staff really care about the residents. We recommend The Radley Care Home without hesitation.

Often the room is quite grubby. It's difficult to comment on food because my aunt is so fussy. Need to separate dementia patients and prevent items from being taken from other patients' rooms and also to prevent other patients from being assaulted by them. This has happened on several occasions and some items never have been returned causing a lot of additional expense.

The staff are friendly and helpful. My sister tells me the food is good. Likes doing the quizzes, and colouring and they inform me if she is unwell or if they have to call a GP. Overall very good.

I am well looked after and the staff have been great towards me. So far I have no real complaints.
