My mother has been a resident of StLaura's for more than three years and has always received outstanding care from the staff. As she is now over 100 and requires increased support, the team continues to meet her needs with remarkable professionalism and heartfelt attentiveness. Their commitment to her wellbeing is truly appreciated

I visited friends staying in St Laura's today. Having had dealings with other care homes I can only say how impressed I was. The facilities are excellent and the staff very caring and professional. It stands head and shoulders above anything else I've seen. A very well managed home with excellent staff and facilities.

In November 2021, Mum & Dad arrived at St Laura's. Eme and her team went out of their way to make them welcome and help them both settle in. They provided 2 rooms, one was the bedroom and the other was their quiet seating area.
We have always felt included in their lives at St Laura's and the wide range of activities. The menu has always been very varied, even though 'sausage Saturday' has been a mainstay.
As mum's dementia progressed, her level of care adapted as required. She passed a year ago and the staff supported Dad and the family with sensitivity and love, even hosting the reception at St Laura's.
As with any care home, staff come and go and I am pleased to see that Eme leads a team who consistently demonstrate a high level of care and professionalism.

I heartily recommend St Laura's. It demonstrates excellent value for money, a warm caring environment and an excellent home for Dad, who is 97.

My dad has now been here for 6 months. I've been very impressed with how each staff member has made an effort to get to know him and understand his individual needs . It feels very much like an extended family with lots of positivity, kindness and encouragement.

Even when he is being tricky, he is supported sensitively. It must be difficult for him not knowing where he is several times in the day - but I am reassured knowing that he is safe and well cared for.

After visiting many care homes, St Laura's Care Home truly stood out. Two other homes declined my mum due to her advancing dementia, but St Laura's showed patience, understanding and genuine empathy from the start.
A heartfelt thank you to Eme, Claire & Angela for making Mum feel welcome and valued.
Their confidence in supporting residents through different stages of dementia gives me real reassurance that she could remain there long-term as her needs progress.

In what has been a very difficult journey, St Laura's gave us hope. I would highly recommend contacting St Laura's if you are looking for the very best care home for your loved one.

My husband has been in the care of St Lauras for a month. The feeling on entering St Lauras ' is warm end inviting. It is very well furnished and decorated. The staff are instantly caring and passionate about their role. Every one is treated with dignity. The staff are excellent, from the admin to the carers, the domestic staff and caterers.

Many of the carers go above and beyond what is required of them. It is not just a job, they really care. We feel happy that my husband is being well looked after.

It was my first visit today to St Laura's and from the moment I arrived the staff were welcoming and helpful showing me to room 55.
I asked for a cup of tea which came in a couple of minutes and every member of staff I encountered could not do enough to help me during the couple of hours I spent there.
Well done everyone
Kind regards

Tony

From Spring of 2025 it was clear that mum (94) could no longer cope at home. I began to look at care homes and found St Laura's on a friends recommendation. His mother has been a resident for 3 years. I visited and was very impressed with the manager and staff. After a stay in hospital after yet another fall mum was transferred directly to St Laura's. It's only been a few weeks but I've been very impressed. All the staff seem very caring and go out of their ay to treat the residents as individuals. Mum has been involved in lots of activities photos of which often appear on the homes social media page. All in all I'm delighted with how the first few weeks have gone.

My mum has been a resident at St Laura's for 18 months. She has dementia and spent the first year on the top floor before her dementia deteriorated and was moved to more specialist care on the middle floor. The staff at St Laura's are so caring, fun and respectful of my mum's wishes. Her LPA is adhered to and they communicate with me really well. Mum is safe, and well cared for. St Laura's staff create a kind and friendly atmosphere and do activities with mum that are appropriate to her needs. Eme the manager is very approachable and is a great advocate for mum and staff. I'm so glad mum is living here. Although it is sad to see my mum living with advanced dementia, St Laura's is the best place for mum to be.

St Laura's Care Home provides an exceptional standard of care in a truly welcoming environment. The home is modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with comfortable rooms that feel warm and inviting. Residents enjoy a wide range of daily activities, helping them stay active, engaged, and socially connected. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice and careful attention to special dietary requests, ensuring everyone's needs are met.
What really sets St Laura's apart is the dedication of the staff. They are consistently friendly, kind, and genuinely caring, creating a safe, home-from-home atmosphere where respect for older people is at the heart of everything. Families can feel reassured that their loved ones are not only well cared for but also treated with dignity and compassion.

The staff at St Lauras have been very welcoming for my mums respite stay. Indeed they have gone out of their way to make her feel comfortable. and settled. The activities provided on a daily basis are varied and to a high standard. There are many nice personal touches. For example, they helped my mum celebrate her birthday during her stay by baking a cake and giving her some flowers. Visits to the local high street for some light shopping and coffee have also been arranged - which provides a change of scene and fresh stimulation.

The hygiene and cleanliness standards are very high at St Lauras. A special mention must go to members of staff and of course none of the above would be possible without the leadership from St Lauras Manager.

From the first moment I contacted St .Laura's, my family and I have received first class personal service and communication from the Manager. The manager has gone over and above to ensure the placement of this resident and their approach to his care has been entirely based around his particular needs, personality, likes and dislikes. Staff are available to discuss any issues and his placement there is going very well. Understanding the need for different approaches to different individuals is first and foremost.

My husband stayed for nine days (respite care). It was his second visit and he was warmly welcomed by the manager and two carers. His room was spotlessly clean and when I collected him, all his clothes were freshly laundered. All the residents look happy and content and trips out are regularly arranged. The care and support offered to Mum at St Laura's has been fantastic. She feels safe and happy. The home has an amazing friendly feeling and from my perspective, as a nervous daughter moving mum into care, everyone I interact with is responsive and genuinely caring. My daughter (11) also feels comfortable and welcome.
Mum's transition into care was from overseas, my parents were living in Spain and Dad passed away suddenly. The team at St Laura's were brilliant supporting our transition. With mum moving to respite care as soon as we returned to the UK.
This has been a difficult time as a family, but mum is safe, happy and content. She is involved in activities and has made some lovely connections, particularly with her key worker. After 10 weeks respite care Mum is now a permanent resident, her words the other day were "It's so nice here, they're so friendly and happy. I'm not always sure why I'm here But I feel safe"

I thoroughly recommend St Laura's and the whole team.

We arrived on a Sat for my husband to have a week's stay at St Lauras. First was a card welcoming him back, then various members of staff popped in to say hello. One had started working there in Feb during my husband's previous stay and made a special visit to his room to say hi and welcome. Colin thoroughly enjoyed all his meals at St Laura's. The room was comfortable and the staff attention couldn't be faulted. He enjoyed the showers there and was even given a good close shave, 1st for some time! Only minus was that he didn't find the bed very comfortable. He thoroughly enjoyed the VE Celebrations, which were very good apparently.

Thank you everyone for making him so welcome and allowing me to enjoy my annual County Bowls tour, knowing he's so well cared for.
