I can't put into words just how pleased I am with the level of care and support that my nan is getting from all of the staff at the Lodge Nursing Home.
Everyone is very friendly and incredibly professional. They are very attentive with my nan and constantly making sure that she is comfortable and has everything she needs.
I really can't put into words how great they are at such a difficult time.
Rock on guys and keep doing what you are doing.

I visited my sister in law this afternoon. She was leaving lunch and told me how good the food is and how she enjoys it. Another resident join us and they both were relaxed and happy. They both looked well cared for. My sister-in-law was pleased to see me but showed no distress or anxiety at being left behind.

All the staff have done their utmost to help mum settle in after years of living by herself. They have quickly learned her likes and dislikes which has helped greatly. Her room is kept clean and tidy and is always comfortable. The occasional laundry mishap but that is usually quickly resolved. Overall very happy with the care mum receives.

My mother is always well cared for, clean and well dressed. The carers have a very good, personal, rapport with both mum and my wife and I. I am always kept informed of any information relating to my mothers care and am consulted when decisions need to be made. The social media group is often updated showing all the activities that the residents have been involved in. Her room is clear and tidy and clothes are clean. The staff here are friendly and very helpful. Mum is happy here.

We would like to express our thanks to the entire team at The Lodge for the care, dignity and attention they have given to Joan, who has not always been the easiest woman to deal with. Special thanks to Lisa, Jo, Leah, Kylie, Chloe, Cathy, Nova, Elaine & Kelly who have shown such positivity, support and kindness throughout the 2 years that Joan has been a resident. On our many visits to The Lodge we were always welcomed with a smile and, as a family, we have received regular updates to keep us informed on all aspects of Joan's well being.. The care workers (too many to name) and kitchen staff also deserve our thanks for making Joan's stay as homely and warm as possible. It has been a lovely place for her to spend the final years of her life.

Lisa PinnerJob Title:Home ManagerJoined: 2014

My career within care started in 1989 when I have appointed the role of Care Assistant in a care home setting close to Potters Bar, Hertfordshire – an opportunity that led to my promotion to Assistant Manager in 1993. 1999 was a landmark in my category, one that saw my progress on to become Acting Home Manager, before being appointed a registered Home Manager in 2004. With a great number of years of experience, I felt confident enough to apply for the same role at The Lodge in 2014 – one that to date inspired me with a continual learning curve, and better fulfilled my passion for delivering person-specific residential and specialist dementia care.
