Reviews

8.7 St Anns has a Review Score of 8.7 (8.721)

The Review Score of 8.7 (maximum of 10) for St Anns is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 4 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for St Anns in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.458 for St Anns is calculated as follows: ( (27 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.458

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

The 4.263 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Anns is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:

    1. 3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 3.75

    2. Target of 7.8 positive Reviews (39 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 4 Reviews ÷ 7.8 Target = 0.513

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

I have been very pleased with the care my mother has received during this first year of her being in the home. The staff are very caring and keep a close eye on her getting the doctor or ambulance in very quickly when she has needed them. My only concern would be they don't seem to have many activities going on to stimulate the residents which is quite important with dementia sufferers.

The staff here are very helpful and friendly they are very easy to talk to if we have a query as a family. Dad is very well looked after everywhere is really clean and tidy.
Dad really enjoys the food.
If the doctor has to come out or has been out we always get a phone call to tell us what is going on. Whatever is happening with dad we always get a phone call which we as a family are very grateful for

My mum has now been at St Ann's for three years and I am very happy that they were able to take her all those years ago. She is happy, well looked after and due to her deterioration cared for extremely well.
Mum was quite independent when she went to St Ann's but is now totally dependent. Mum is treated with dignity and privacy.
The staff are amazing and never fail to keep me informed as to what is happening with mum.
I visit mum 2-3times a week, so I am fully aware of how much care and pride the staff take in caring not only for mum but all of the residents.
My mum has Dementia so it's not an easy job.
