I enjoyed my 3 week stay at Little Oaks. They put me back on my feet again after my stay in hospital. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and what every they did for me they always said 'your welcome' with a lovely smile.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for your kind words regarding the care team. It was a pleasure having you as part of the community for the time you were with us. Best wishes from all at Little Oaks.
Little Oaks was recommended to me by a couple of friends and we used for 10 days of respite for my mother while we were away.
I felt confident in leaving her knowing she was safe and looked after. My mum was comfortable, well fed, clean and safe
She was a lot happier to be around people and settled in quickly.
The room was adequate and would need some TLC if this was a long term arrangement but the kindness of the carers is more important than the standard of the room in my opinion.
I do appreciate your feedback...
My mother in law is happy living there and loves the staff. She seems to feel safe and enjoys having people around her all the time.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, Its nice to get feedback that we are welcoming as we do enjoy families visiting and joining in with our community. Warm regards.
Mum has been at little oaks for a year. This has changed all our lives for the better. She is more engaged and feels safe as has staff around her 24/7 and the activities co-ordinator Sam does some calm but thoughtful activities so she doesn't feel forced to take part. She sees a dr when needed and has great banter with her favourite members of staff. Little Oaks was the perfect choice for us. I am grateful everyday for the kindness and patience of the staff and manager Teresa. Thank you
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for your positive comments, it is a pleasure having mum here as part of our little community. Warm regards.
We were struggling to find respite somewhere for our mother after a period of time in hospital over the Christmas and New Year period. When we came across Little Oaks, Teresa and her team made the whole process in relocating mum over 100 miles away very easy and straightforward. From the very first moment I was showed around the home through to meeting the team on site and my discussions with Teresa it became very clear that out of all of the homes I had visited in the local vicinity, Little Oaks was clearly the one that had the exceptional care and made every effort to communicate and discuss the process with us.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are pleased you felt it was it was an easy and straightforward process and we are all really happy your mother has settled in so well. I will pass on your positive comments to the care team. Warm regards.
Since moving in, she has been treated with dignity and respect.
The care staff are lovely. Very jolly and good at their jobs.
Owners and management are wonderful. Very open and happy to chat.
I would not hesitate to recommend Little Oaks.
Warm regards.
I genuinely do not believe my mother would still be here if not for her moving to Little Oaks when she did. She is as happy as anyone could be with this awful disease and she is safe - I couldn't ask for more.
Thank you for taking the time to complete your review of Little Oaks and you lovely words about the home. It is a pleasure having mum here as part of our community in the Willows. I will pass on your positive comments to the care team. Warm regards
Little Oaks is super clean & tidy. Yet really homely with a calm relaxed atmosphere.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We are really pleased the transition went well and that mum is happy here. I will pass on your thanks to the care team. Warm regards.
My mum was at Little Oaks for 5 months until June and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The home is spotlessly clean, the staff are so professional and caring and there is a real family atmosphere. My mother was looked after so well, and as a visitor I was also very well supported, the staff were always ready to make me a cup of tea and have a chat. Nothing is too much trouble. There are always lots of activities going on, the meals are superb and the team is well led by the manager and admin. Thank you, Little Oaks x
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for your lovely words. It was a pleasure caring for mum whilst she was with us. I will pass on your kind comments to the team. Warm regards.
We had looked at a few care homes for Dad and Little Oaks stood out from all the others and along with Dad we had no hesitation in moving in.
All staff are very friendly, caring and compassionate and will accommodate any request, if possible, to improve Dad's care.
His room has it's own toilet and wash basin and we have been able to add many items important to Dad to remind him of home.
There are also daily activities that all residents are encouraged to participate in.
We have also noticed that his health and mobility had improved over the last few weeks.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, we are pleased you and dad are happy with Little Oaks and I will pass on your positive comments to the team. Kind regards.
My mum moved into Little Oaks last October. The environment is very homely which I really appreciate in comparison to some of the conference centre style corporate care homes. The team are well led, they are caring and considerate with residents, working around them and their needs rather than forcing them to adhere to a schedule. The food is excellent and prepared onsite which is a very important consideration for us. I'm happy to recommend Little Oaks.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. I will pass on your positive comments to the care team and the kitchen. Kind regards.
I looked at a lot of local homes before deciding on Little Oaks and was impressed on first viewing; my mother has just completed her first anniversary and my view hasn't changed. It is relatively small to create a homely feel while being big enough to enable a chef to be employed (many small homes rely on frozen meals). It has a pool of regular staff who are helpful, kind and considerate to create a positive vibe and the home is bright and clean. Many rooms have en suite toilet / wash basin and the home is keen for residents to personalise the room as much as possible with maybe a piece of furniture, hanging pictures etc. There is a separate lounge for dementia residents which I feel is good for all residents (I can't comment on the dementia care). There are some activities organised in the main lounge and facilities such as regular hair dresser, chiropodist (extra cost billed monthly).
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for the home and for your positive comments, which I will pass onto to the care team.
My friend suffered a stroke during 2020 and with no family support available came to live at Little Oaks. I immediately liked the home from home feel and friendly and helpful staff. My friend took a while to settle and come to terms with his circumstances. Little by little the staff have encouraged him to become more engaged with the daily activities. The food is very good and as a visitor I have enjoyed staying for lunch too.
The core staff team especially the manager are very approachable. In the spring and summer months the residents can potter around the beautiful garden and or sit on the patio areas and enjoy the sunshine. The main residential areas are in the process of an uplift and looking very good.
I highly recommend this home.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review for the home, its a pleasure caring for your friend and having him take part in the activities.I will pass on your comments to the care team. Kind regards
The home is clean, light and airy. There are sufficient different activities each day. I like that all the food is home-cooked on the premises. There is a choice of menu, and the staff are flexible, within reason, should my mother have a particular food request.
My mother is treated with dignity and respect. If the staff have any concerns about her self-care, they encourage her but never force her to do anything contrary to her wishes.
I would particularly like to say that I have absolutely no concerns about my mother's care at Little Oaks. I never thought I would be saying that when my mother went into care.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, we are pleased you are happy with the care your mother receives. I will pass this on to the care team. Kind regards.
My brother, sister and myself are extremely pleased all round with the services Little Oaks provides.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable
We are very pleased to find this care home at just the time our mother needed it.
Most importantly, mum is happy.
Thank you to management and the lovely team at Little Oaks.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for your kind words, which I will pass on to the team. We are pleased Mum is happy. Kind regards.
Mum has now been in the home for over a year and her time there has been very friendly and caring. When Mum became a resident she was really poorly and the family did not think she would last very long. As it was the staff and manager made Mum a project and within a few months Mum was moving around with her Zimmer frame, eating well and taking time with the other residents. I cannot thank them enough for what they do for Mum and the way they welcome the family when they visit.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, it's a pleasure looking after Mum as part of the Little Oaks family. I will pass on your thanks to the care team.
I would just like to thank all members of staff for their care and compassion in looking after my mother, it is not an easy decision to make, but within a few days we knew we had made the right one, with soon joining in and making friends.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review, it was a pleasure looking after Mum during her time here. I will pass on your kind words and thanks to the care team. Kind regards.
What a wonderful place Little Oaks is! Mum was only there for a short time, but the care she received was excellent. The staff are so friendly, caring and respectful and Mum felt immediately at home from the first day. The atmosphere in the home is warm, welcoming and homely. The manager made Mum feel really settled and communication between myself and the staff was excellent. Thank you so much for ensuring a very smooth transition for Mum, as a family we are so grateful that she came to Little Oaks - I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and for your lovely words, which of course I will pass on to the care team. It was a pleasure having Mum here, even if sadly just for a short time but her legacy most definitely lives on in the Gin and Tonic afternoons. Kind regards.
My father-in-law was allocated a lovely room in the new dementia wing, which suited his needs very well. He was well looked after, and the carers were happy to do the extra little things we requested regarding his care.
It was lovely to have peace of mind when we needed to go on a trip abroad, and I will definitely be using this care home again.
Thank you for your lovely words and for taking the time to complete a review. We are glad you had peace of mind; I will pass this on to the team. Kind regards.
Mum has now had two respite visits to Little Oaks, and on both occasions, we found the home to be highly commended. It is well run by senior staff and friendly, helpful carers. If required, we will use them again.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review and your positive words, which I will pass on to the team. Kind regards.
