Thank you to everybody... the carers, cooks, cleaners, entertainers, and lovely George. Especially the nurse who bandaged my leg.
Staff are dedicated and extremely caring. I am happy that my wife is being looked after by them.
I was very impressed with the overall care that I was given. The staff were always cheerful and willing to help if needed.
Thank you for your kind feedback. We're really pleased to hear you were happy with the care and support from our team.
Having just spent 8 weeks in Delamer House recovering from a bad fall, I cannot praise them enough, they treat everyone with care and dignity every minute of every day. Their patience was 100 per cent, and the food was delicious.
Thank you very much for your kind words. We are delighted to hear that you had a positive experience during your stay at Delamer House. Your feedback means a lot to our team, and we wish you continued recovery and good health.
A very caring and helpful stay at Delamer following a fall and hospitalisation. We felt safe that Mum was being looked after and had a charming environment for her recovery.
In August when we first brought my mother-in-law Pamela in, we all had a very warm welcome from the seniors and all the carers, they made Pam feel welcomed and safe, as did this for me and Sarah as well. Since then we got to know most of the staff and they got to know us more too. Every time we visit, we always receive a warm welcome. Everyone is so helpful. Pam now is finally settling in her new home. It's been a bumpy start, but the team have been great with Pam. My wife Sarah is now feeling better. So a big thank you to all of you.
On Friday 20th June I came with the Forget Me Not Dementia Cafe for afternoon tea. The afternoon started off with a lady singer, she sang some really nice songs. Then we went into the restaurant for a really nice afternoon tea. The carers at the home had black and white outits on, as for the afternoon they acted as waitresses. The sandwiches and cakes were delicious. Everyone at Delamer House was very welcoming. The whole afternoon was lovely. It was a real pleasure to come to the home. My friend since he has been a resident of Delamer House. He is so much better healthwise and everything for him is a great improvement. Everyone looks after him really well. Thank you, Delamer House.
The wonderful manager suggested we bring a Dementia Cafe local group ( forget me not cafe) to join residents and staff for a special Victorian afternoon tea. We brought about 15 member and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music, memories and an afternoon tea. Staff members dressed up as waitresses and served sandwiches, cakes and tea in the dining room. Our group were treated like VIP's and individuals with individual needs. The venue is clean, well maintained and accessible. The manager and her team were just wonderful. It showed how Delamer House caters for all with love, care and dignity.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was a real pleasure to welcome the Forget Me Not Caf group. We're so glad you enjoyed the afternoon tea - our team loved every moment too. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
I didn't know what to expect from The Delamer, and frankly I wasn't looking forward to it. I found warmth, a competent, caring and ever-present staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Good and plenteous food, and a happy atmosphere. Would I go back? Yes!!
Thank you so much for your lovely words! We're so pleased to hear that your experience at Delamer House exceeded your expectations. Our team works hard to create a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment, and it's wonderful to know that it made a difference for you. We'd be delighted to welcome you back anytime!
Staff all very friendly and pleasant, and take time to say hello, they work hard, a welcoming environment, other residents all seem very happy.
Food of a high standard.
Very efficient in ensuring professional services are involved in the care and treatment to benefit my brother. Only been a resident for 1 week and happy so far with what we have experienced.
I have a very dear friend who is a resident her care could not be any better. The staff are amazing they greet me like one of the family. Without the care and attention received by my friend she would not longer be with us.
Wonderful, thank you.
My time in Delamer House was very pleasant. The staff were very good and pleasant. The food and activities were very good.
Home has always treated my mother with care and dignity. I am very happy with the care home.
My mum was moved here from another care home (since closed) and I noticed the difference between the two immediately. Friendlier, more experienced and caring staff. Mum actually rallied will in here. The staff were very caring and informed me of every thing going on at no time was she left in her bed without being checked on often (she broke her hip at previous care home and never walked again). She seemed happy and well looked after at all times, enjoyed the food and cups of tea. I cannot fault this home in any way.
Always found the staff and management very efficient and friendly, and mum seems happy and settled when I visit. The manager is always approachable and is keen that even the smallest detail is correct.
All the meals are prepared on-site, and Dad generally eats the lot, including the dessert (his favourite!). Activities he enjoys too, including bingo etc. I would recommend anyone to Delamer
Thanks so much for your lovely review! We've got some exciting news - a new performer named Jay will be joining us this Friday, 25th April, for a fun-filled afternoon. Since we know your dad absolutely loves the piano, we'll be getting him involved to play alongside. It's going to be a treat - we're sure he'll have a wonderful time!
Overall I would day this home is pretty good. I've certainly nothing to complain about.
I am sorry that you have scored us 3 stars for security. As you are aware, all of our exit doors are secured with keypads due to the nature of many of our residents. After a risk assessment was completed, MW is able to go out freely to the shops and on a bus. It is our legal duty to ensure that risk assessments have been completed before allowing you out.
As my husband is a resident at the home. I have been visiting twice weekly. The staff are always pleasant. Helpful, nothing seems to be much trouble. When my husband was taken ill they went absolutely above and beyond their normal duties. They were so professional, calm and kept me informed.
My mother went to live at Delamer on 14th February 2025. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They will assist my mum and our family when it is needed with no hesitation. I cannot thank the staff and the manager for their understanding and patience during the settling in time with my mum. It has been and still can be very upsetting for my mum and the family.
