This is an easy review to complete as Delamer House manager and staff are excellent in every respect. The overall care, love and attention my mother receives is genuine and I have no hesitation in fully recommending Delamer House to anyone seeking a care home for their loved one. Well done indeed Delamer House!

Overall Experience
This care home is extremely efficiently run by the manager and staff, who are all very personable professionals and helpful at all times.
I have found the building very clean and tidy and definitely provides that ‘homely’ feeling.
Initially, the concept of moving mum into care filled both her and the family will feelings of guilt and dread, however from the minute we met the manager and her wonderful team, we were all impressed and felt confident that mum would be ok. The team have worked wonders caring for mum and she is happy, healthier and very content.
The staff ratio is very good and they are always smiling and engaging with the residents..All in all, this is more of a ‘happy family‘ than simply a care home.

Thoroughly recommended...just pop in and see for yourself.

My Mother, who has dementia, has been at Delamer for 15 months. During that time she has always been treated with kindness and respect. Both she and her room are very clean and there are always activities in the lounge if she wants to join in. There is always a choice of food at each meal and the residents have a cake on their birthday. Visitors are welcomed any time and any concerns are quickly dealt with by staff. We are very happy to have chosen such a lovely place for my Mother to live.

My nan has lived in the residential house above for the last thirteen years and has been looked after with care, dignity and respect. Her room is always clean and bright. Her meals are tasty and nutritious. As she has aged she has required more care and physical help, all the staff have been kind and compassionate. I'm glad she found this home.

My brother and I will be forever grateful that my mum spent her final 3 years in Delamer House. Every time I visited her she would praise the staff and I could see she was happy and contented. The staff were friendly and attentive to my mum. They would pop in frequently to see her with cups of tea and biscuits and would always stop for a chat with her. The human contact and kindness was of the highest importance to my mum's quality of life. The room was bright and cheerful and the food was varied and of good quality. Thank you guys!

Overall Experience

Following a fall in 2014 my mother spent around three months in respite care at Delamer before returning home. However, no longer managing on her own she returned to Delamer House as a full time resident later that year and has now been there nearly two years. In that time she has received the utmost care, the staff are always happy, engaging and caring. The manageress is brilliant and goes out of her way to keep the residents happy with events, often dressing the home for the occasion in imaginative ways for the enjoyment of both residents and visitors. The facilities are very good and the choice and quality of meals excellent. My mum now receives more intensive care and I am happy with the support she receives. Delamer House is situated in a good location with its own small car park and the local bus service is on the doorstep. I cannot thank the manageress and staff enough for the support they provide.

I really cannot thank the manager, staff (and other residents) enough for making my father so welcome, he needed respite care but did not want to go into a home until he met the manager of Delamer House. She was so kind, understanding and thoughtful that he thought "Ok I'll try it". He has settled in very well, his health is much improved and he is happier than he has been for a long time.

Visited my Uncle with my Dad, so he could see his brother, very welcome and professional establishment, lovely staff and more like a hotel or homely feel.
I am 50 and makes that era of life less of a concern.

Thank you for looking after my Uncle.
