The day staff are absolutely brilliant nothing is too much to help with all managers/seniors are so lovely too. So caring kind and patient would definitely recommend someone come for respite or to stay here, the residents are so kind too, and there are also lots of fun activities to do.

Overall Experience
Due to our daughter's autistic spectrum behaviours, she is difficult to integrate socially, but she appears to be settling and we are optimistic that she will become more integrated in the future, as she did manager to integrate while attending day care.

I have visited Drummonds on multiple occasions and find the home to be an amazing friendly environment. As soon as I walk through the door I'm greeted with smiles from both staff and residents who are equally happy to see me, the atmosphere is always one of a warm welcome.
Staff are extremely positive and engaging and will always assist me when I have questions or issues.
The manager is always available for a chat and will go above and beyond to assist me with any concerns.

I have been visiting Drummonds to visit multiple residents I built bonds with over the years, both during and since I worked there, and honestly Drummonds is the best home under the Black Swan Umbrella and has only improved by leaps and bounds since the new Regional Manager took over and another...
I have been visiting Drummonds to visit multiple residents I built bonds with over the years, both during and since I worked there, and honestly Drummonds is the best home under the Black Swan Umbrella and has only improved by leaps and bounds since the new Regional Manager took over and another staff member took the helm as Manager.
The care level is now at a level I can say I have not seen in another home within the sector and I have worked at and visited many of them and the residents seem genuinely happy and well cared for.
The recent changes to the groups to facilitate a better quality of life for those with increased needs or the lack of ability to verbalise and advocate for themselves is not only innovative and industry leading, it is a testament to how much the management team care about their residents, not just the invoice they send to those who pay their bills.
The care level is now at a level I can say I have not seen in another home within the sector and I have worked at and visited many of them and the residents seem genuinely happy and well cared for.

At the time of writing, our daughter has been attending Drummonds for respite care for a few months. We are extremely happy with the level of care she receives. Staff have taken the time to understand her needs (she’s non-verbal) and we have felt listened to when we have discussed her usual routines.
There is no shortage of things to do for her during her stays and activities are geared very much towards her likes and abilities.
There is no shortage of things to do for her during her stays and activities are geared very much towards her likes and abilities.
She returns home from her stays at Drummonds in a happy mood and we receive comprehensive information from the staff about the activities she’s been participating in, her general well-being, dietary, health issues and anything else of relevance. Whilst it never gets any easier to leave our daughter in order for us to have a well-needed break, our impressions are that Drummonds is a bright and happy environment with attentive carers and this gives us the confidence to trust them with her care.

Drummonds is an amazing facility. My aunt loves her home and is very well cared for. I loved the photos that she sent me from Halloween. I want to say thank you to all of the staff who have supported my aunt, particularly during such a difficult time.

My daughter has been at Drummonds for many years and is extremely happy there. In view of the situation this past year (2020-21) and all the implications related to the pandemic (and as a retired nurse myself) we have found the staff have handled the requirements with extreme care and caution, always giving consideration to the welfare of the residents and their safety.
Overall the standards in the home are very high, and family contacts or requests/messages etc. have been dealt with efficiently and with understanding.

During lockdown, the staff and management have been brilliant! Telephoning weekly with an update and chat.
I am so appreciative of all they have done while we have been unable to visit. I am so pleased that my sister has a real-life and cannot fault the care she receives.

My uncle has been at Drummonds for many years. I remember visiting when I was young and the comparison now is unbelievable. I had been unable to visit since Black Swan took over and the amount of work that’s been put in really surprised me. It looks fabulous! From the cinema room to the new bedrooms. I was lucky enough to get a tour of the very friendly staff who had such lovely things to say about my uncle. Hopefully, it won’t be too long until I next visit!
