Luff House has an active social life in which residents can take part or follow their own pursuits. They appreciate that each resident has their own individual interests, hobbies and pastimes, and they endeavour to support residents to maintain this important part of their lives. Their residents are encouraged to lead the lifestyle that they choose, doing as much or as little as they want - residents can simply choose to put their feet up with a daily paper (by arrangement) or can choose a book from the Home's collection.
Their weekly programme includes activities such as craft, knitting and sewing groups, armchair and active exercise, music sessions, poetry and reminiscence, gardening, flower arranging and cake baking sessions.
Various visiting entertainments and church groups visit on a regular basis. A hairdresser visits once a week. A mobile clothing supplier allows for a little retail therapy in the comfort of your own home, together with occasional craft displays and coffee mornings.
Their Christian faith is at the heart of both their values and their actions. At Luff House they try to create a community where Christian worship, prayer and support are a core part of daily life. They have daily devotions, a mid-week service and regular communion services in the home. There is an evangelical church just across the road and transport is provided by the church.
We accept those who are paying for their own care (self-funders), those who are being supported by the Local Authority, and those in receipt of Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding.

• Enhanced care: this is where assessed needs are highly complex and where mechanical or technical assistance is frequently needed. We charge for dementia care at this rate.
The Registered Care Manager will assess you prior to admission to determine the level of care provision required. These fees are valid between 1st April 2026 and 31st March 2027 and are reviewed annually. Our fees are charged per person, per week. We do not require a deposit and we do not require a guarantor.

The hummingbird lady was lovely. Time was always found for me if I wanted to discuss anything. When a problem arose, staff were quick to acknowledge the issue and deal with it effectively, which was reassuring. Above all was the Christian atmosphere which Mum had wanted to experience in her final years.

Adeola joined Luff House in 2022 as a carer and, through dedication and hard work, progressed to becoming the manager. Working at Luff House has never felt like just a job to Adeola, as she is very passionate about caring for people. Her love for caring for older people comes from her personal experience of being the sole carer for her grandmother until she sadly passed away.
