From the very first day mum arrived, the staff were really welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Arriving between mealtime part of the day, the chef cooked a hot meal and served it himself. Mum's room is a good size, but maybe a fresh coat of paint would be great. The bathroom is very small and wheelchairs are a bit tricky to manoeuvre but functional.

Activities and raffles are constantly being organised should residents wish to participate. The cafe is bright, modern, always has tea, coffee and cake. The main strength of The Grange is the staff. From the Manager and assistant down, they are always willing to talk, listen and action any requests put to them whenever possible.

I like it here because the people are friendly. I've made friends here and I like to go on outings. I like singing and I belong to the choir and I enjoy it when we go out to places and sing to other people. I am very happy here and everyone looks after me.

After a lot of soul searching, we admitted mum to a care home. We narrowed the choice to three and The Grange became available. After the initial settling in bumps in the road, which are expected, we have found The Grange to be a lovely place for mum. She particularly loves the activities on offer - choir, games and themed parties. She seems very content and happy. The management and staff are all very amenable and helpful.

My Mother was in the care home for convalescence following inpatient hospital treatment for a fractured femur. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The food was fine and there was an entertainment programme, although, my mother would not participate in that.

Sadly I am not quite a walker yeat and still use a wheelchair. The staff here could not be kinder to me. On a trip by coach/bus the driver looked after me from start to finish, he stayed with me all the time and took me wherever I wanted to go. People outside The Grange as so good to us and I sometimes wonder what we can give in return. One thing we can give is singing.

During my mother's 3 years at The Grange, the care she received has been excellent. The staff have all been compassionate, efficient and afforded her dignity. The level of care has been of great comfort to me, living nearly 300 miles from The Grange.

Mum could not be given better care.
Recently she has been more difficult to handle but they have dealt with this in a caring way.

They have added a basket to her walk frame to carry her handbag which she takes everywhere with her and she likes that.

As a frequent visitor to The Grange, I can honestly say I am always acknowledged by every member of staff I meet, in a friendly and polite manner.
I love the changes the management have made to key rooms; introducing colour and cheerfulness in what could be bland and uninteresting surroundings.

Well done The Grange.

Our mum moved into The Grange in December 2016 after several falls and becoming unable to live on her own anymore. I was tasked with finding a few care homes that the family could review as suitable for Mum.
As soon as I walked into The Grange I knew it was the one, and I was not wrong as everything about The Grange is perfect, right down to the colourful, homely, quaint decor.

Mum is healthier and happier and more stimulated than she has been in years. The staff here are the best we could possibly have hoped for. Our mum is very precious to us and we leave her here in the knowledge that she is well, safe and loved.

My father recently passed away whilst in the care of The Grange and I would just like to say thank you to all of the staff at the care home for the love and affection that they have shown my father these past two years. My father was extremely happy and felt safe and secure whilst in their care. My family and I could not have asked for more as they treated my father as though he was one of their own family. My mother is still at The Grange and I take great comfort in knowing that the level of care that these people provide will keep my mother comforted at a such a difficult time. Thank you to you all

My mother has been a resident at The Grange for almost two years. I have always been very happy with the quality of care she receives. The staff know each resident well and are caring and considerate. The standards of accommodation, cleanliness and food are excellent. I am more that happy to recommend The Grange to anyone considering residential care for their elderly relative.
