This long-established, family-run care home features 30 en-suite rooms and has been committed to providing dementia and residential care for three decades, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere for its residents. This dedicated team consists entirely of permanent staff, with two-thirds having been with the home for over ten years. This long-standing commitment creates a sense of continuity and familiarity so key to providing high-quality care. Stanway Green Lodge can offer both permanent and short-term respite care.

The intimate setting of the home, combined with permanent staff, creates a connection with each resident and enables a proper understanding of any unique needs. Service users are actively encouraged to pursue hobbies and explore new interests, supported by a diverse entertainment programme that includes both in-house activities, external entertainers and outings. The home is dedicated to maintaining strong connections with the local community by engaging with organisations such as Stanway Evangelical Church, St. Theresa's Church, students from Gosbecks Primary School, and the Essex Wildlife Trust. It features two lounges with lovely views of the garden, as well as a dining room where meals are served. The beautifully landscaped gardens, equipped with outdoor seating, provide a perfect setting for relaxation during the summer months.

I cannot fault the home in any way or recommend it highly enough. The staff go above and beyond, very friendly and accessible at all times. My conversations with the residents are all positive and fill me with confidence that the best care is being given.

I came into the home in October, and the staff made me feel very welcome and settled in very quickly. I have taken part in all the activities, which I find help me meet the other residents. Brilliant fireworks display, plus Christmas Light switch on. I am coming up to four months n the home and have
settled in very well. I see more people and have more social contact than I did at my own home.

Since I arrived in January 2022, the staff and management have made me feel very welcome. They provide me with a high level of care; they are very friendly and make sure that I feel safe.
The food is very good, and they provide a number of activities, and I have been on several outside visits, which
were great fun.

I always receive a friendly welcome when I visit Stanway Green to see my relative. The staff all seem friendly and competent and obviously know the needs and requirements of the residents they look after. I like the fact that there are only 30 rooms as it makes it feel more of a home environment and
the gardens are well maintained and enjoyable for everyone. I am kept well informed about the health and requirements of my relative by the manager, and I know that I can contact them directly if I have any concerns. The home has been very patient with issues we have had to sort out funding, and this has been appreciated.

My mother (97) became a resident in January 2022 as she was becoming increasingly frail. She has settled in extremely well. The staff and management have been excellent in ensuring she is well looked after. They keep us fully informed of any health issues or other aspects of her care they feel we should
be aware of. They arrange numerous activities and this year. We had the garden party with a Rock & Roll theme in which relatives were actively encouraged to participate and my mother thoroughly enjoyed taking part in dancing and singing a duet with another resident. They encourage residents to visit and are relaxed if we take mum out for visits and trips.
Overall, we are delighted with the care my mother has received and cannot recommend the staff and management highly enough.

Lovely home. One of the best homes I have seen for a long time. Knowing that my father-in-law is safe and well looked after, gives me peace of mind. The place is kept clean, the gardens are lovely and so nice to sit outside in the sunshine.

Dad moved from Scotland to Stanway Green Lodge so quite an upheaval, to say the least. The team have been nothing less than welcoming and helpful from the moment Dad arrived. He settled in well and being allowed some personal items helped greatly. He enjoys getting to know others through activities
provided in a friendly environment, and yet he still enjoys the privacy of his own room and facilities. The team have also helped me with the transition of moving Dad into care and has provided me with good advice on several occasions. He is cared for very professionally by a great team. I am glad we chose Stanway for Dad and would definitely recommend to others.

When my aunt arrived at Stanway Green Lodge after being discharged from the hospital, her condition was much worse than either myself or the home manager had been led to believe.   
However, both the manager and staff were brilliant, and she was well cared for from the start, and her health did improve
quickly.
Throughout the time my aunt has been, she has received excellent care, and I cannot praise the staff enough.

Mum (92 years old) moved into Stanway Green Lodge in October 2018 following a life-changing fall. The staff and management/owner were fantastic. They were caring and considerate for both Mum's and our needs and concerns. Mum passed away within 24 hours of contracting bronchial pneumonia. All efforts
by staff to treat Mum (medication and nursing) were identified. Mum went peacefully in the care of one of the senior members of staff. I would wholeheartedly recommend Stanway Green Lodge.

I have found all the staff to be extremely friendly and caring. They are led effectively by the manager and deputy manager who know exactly what is going on and how all the residents are faring.
Activities are arranged every afternoon and all residents are encouraged - but not forced - to take part.
There are many special events organised throughout the year such as a Rock and Roll party, Chinese New Year celebrations, Shrove Tuesday pancake tasting, Red Nose Day, Christmas party, Summer Garden Party - to name but a few. Entertainers come and serenade the residents as well as visiting choirs, music groups and local schools. Residents’ relatives are always welcome to join these events!

My mother has been resident at Stanway Green Lodge for five weeks now. In such a short time she has settled in very well despite initial apprehension at leaving her home of 40 years. All the staff are friendly and patient and her needs are catered for in a caring manner. She enjoys the food and the
activities put on at the home. Her room is pleasant and furnished well and we have brought in personal articles to make it feel more like home for her.

My mother has been a resident at Stanway Green Lodge since November 2018. She settled in quickly and is very happy. The home has a lovely atmosphere and is very clean and bright. The staff are brilliant and so helpful and friendly. Food is good and there are regular activities for everyone to enjoy

My mother has been a resident since July 2018 and the standard of care she has received in that time has been excellent. I have visited at least twice a week and all the management and staff I have met and seen as they go about their duties are very friendly, attentive and caring. The atmosphere is
