I visited St Edith's recently with my mum visiting her friend. I was quite surprised just how lovely and welcoming the staff were. The premises itself was kept so nicely and the residents all appeared very happy. Whilst there, I observed the lovely way the staff interacted with the residents. Even my mum commented on how well and happy her friend appeared.

I went to look at St Edith's Court with a view of a family member being a resident.
I was welcomed in a warm and professional manner by senior staff, who were very informative and understanding who has much knowledge of the care system.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
The premises were clean and fresh smelling.
Residents looked happy and well looked after.
The grounds were kept emaculately.

Thankyou for your time.

I visited a friend last week the home as always was spotless and smelt lovely and fresh. Staff are always friendly and caring and I am always welcomed with a smile and a chat which is so nice. My friend was in the garden having a cup of tea and biscuits with some other residents and I was made a coffee and we all sat and chatted. The home manager popped in the garden to see us all I must say she is always approachable caring and the residents think the same. The garden is well maintained and I look forward to many more visits during the summer time.

I cannot praise St Edith court enough - my mum stayed with them for respite for 3 months whilst repairs were being done at her house following a leak. She was treated with respect, dignity and cared for 24/7. The home is welcoming and spotlessly clean, it really is a home from home. All the staff were friendly and professional and went over and above to meet my mums needs, even picking her recliner chair up from her house and returning when she went home. Thank you for all you did for my mum.

My mother has been at St Edith's for just over 2.5 years. We chose St Edith's as it is a small friendly home with the advantage of a huge garden.
The staff are compassionate, caring and sensitive to the residents needs. My mother was recently admitted to hospital and returned to the home in a very frail state. The staff have nursed her back to health and she is back to her old self.

The home has had some recent management issues but this has now been resolved. I am confident that my mother is safe and well looked after.

St Edith is not only a care home, it is a safe haven. There is support, compassion, professionalism, respectfulness, understanding and sensitivity towards the residents, as well as the focus on residents overall well being. There are activities for the resident throughout the week, the garden is beautiful and a pleasure to walk around. I have visited many homes in the past and St Edith by far, comes out the best. So, thank you all at St Edith for everything you do for my aunt.

From the moment I entered St Edith's Court, I have been impressed. The friendliness and attentiveness of the staff is wonderful and the environment is clean, bright and welcoming. The facilities are excellent and the residents rooms are spacious and airy. The bathroom and kitchen allow my mother a degree of independence she did not have at home and are good sizes. I am very grateful that my mother has a place at St Edith's Court. It's our first experience of a care home and we couldn't be happier with the lovely staff and care she receives.

My mother has been at st Edith's for nearly two years, she arrived with mobility problems but very alert. She has deteriorated and now has palliative care. Throughout her stay the staff have been amazing, so dedicated and caring especially now that she is a more difficult resident. My wife and I have recommended St Edith's to numerous friends and acquaintances.

Unfortunately due to Anchors policies I cannot detail just how badly my mother was let down during her stay here .I can only say that due to many safeguarding issues I would not recommend this home to any person looking for a safe ,well managed care home for their loved one.I do wonder how long my review will be left up by Anchor who ,welcome feedback !!!!!!

My mum moved in last year ,and the home seemed lovely ,very clean and her room was nice
We were promised that there would be activities on a regular basis and she would be included and welcomed and made to feel safe and part of the home
Sadly this wasn't the case ,the management is extremely poor ,there is no communication ,no documentation when concerns were raised by us they were not investigated and we even got laughed at
After several safeguards have been raised and complaints expressed still they can not answer our questions so we have had to move her which has been hard for her and ourselves

I would not recommend this home to anyone and feel sorry for the residents that remain there if they are being treated in the same way as my mum

My father in law was in St Edith's Leigh on sea from October 2024 to the 10th of March 2025. The care he received was wonderful.
He sadly passed away in hospital after being taken there by ambulance from the home.
We cleared out his room completely within 36 hours of him leaving the room.
So the room was available to Anchor to re let by the 12th of March.
We asked for the balance of the March fee (around £3300) to be refunded on the 13th of March.
After reminding the local administrator at the home several times we are still waiting for the monies to be refunded, she assured me that the head office would refund the monies as she was unable to actually forward the funds.
It's now April 11th and no refund has been made. I have phoned the head office and they were adamant that the local home is responsible for the refund. The local home assured me that the refunds come from the HQ.
Long story short. I need the £3,300 to help pay for funeral expenses.

Still waiting a month later.

I have found St Edith's to have a warm, friendly happy and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are kind, caring considerate and patient. Management are willing to act, assist and most important, listen. As Mum is still settling in. She hasn't attended activities yet but we hope she will soon, so I cannot comment on those. I hear laughter and see happy faces in here and it does feel like Mum's home - warm and cosy.

My father enter St Edith's in the respite room after a months stay in hospital after getting stuck in bath. Prior to this he was completely independent at 92 years old. Finding that he now needs assistance with daily tasks has been a shock for him as well as us. The staff who have cared for him have been wonderful and treated him with respect and dignity. We have now got him there full time in a room of his own and he seems to be slowly settling in. St Edith's came highly recommended by several friends who had relatives there in the past and it has not disappeared.
