Until 25-6-26, I had never heard of Aran Lodge Care Home; my partner was moved from the hospital to there the next day. She remained there until her death on the 19-7-26. She was in room 9, beautiful, clean and quiet; the care she received from the staff could not be faulted, gently repositioned, washed, changed, feed & watered. I visited her every day & was welcomed at the door, cheerfully politely and given an update on her, then left together, unless there was something they needed to do. On her last day, I was told the inevitable news that I had dreaded, went up to her room, held her hand until the end. I was then treated kindly and the true feelings. If I was asked to recomend a home, I would not hesitate to recomend Aran Lodge it is perfect.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. I have shared your kind words with the entire team, and it means a great deal to all of us. It was a privilege to care for your partner and to support you both during her time with us. The devotion, kindness, and attentiveness...
I really can't praise this home enough. My mum came here over 2 years ago in a very distressed state and I didn't think she would ever settle. Well fast forward 2 years and she is happy and healthy and cared for beyond my expectations.
She participates in all activities and especially enjoys when Geoff comes.
I could not be happier for her to stay here and am always made to feel welcome when visiting especially from Luna when she is there :-)
Thank you for the lovely review Julie.
I used to visit my friend 2-3 times a week until I had problems with my own health. I found the home, clean and tidy and the care staff very friendly and helpful, the management are very helpful and super friendly, I was very surprised about the way certain residents are allowed to help, with doing the laundry, and table settings, the management put on some great activities, several of which I was invited to attend, the residents are given choices for their dinner, teas, breakfast and supper and from what I saw the food looked very nice, my friend who I visited was given a tea/coffee cup with a baby type beaker. I was also happy with the security system used on the front door of the building.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We have certainly missed seeing you around the home as often lately and wish you the very best with your health.
At its core, this is a home first. We believe our residents should have the autonomy to live as they would in their own houses: if that...

Thank you B for your kind review. S is such a pleasure to have in our home.
Thank you Aran Lodge.
Thank you so much for your lovely review S. It has been amazing to see how mum has improved over the past couple of months. The physio you arranged is incredible with her and mums confidence has just been improving week on week.
I cannot thank the team at this nursing home enough for the exceptional care they provide to my father. From the very beginning, they have shown genuine kindness, patience, and compassion, not just to him but to our entire family.
The staff go above and beyond every single day. They treat my father with dignity and respect, always taking the time to make him feel comfortable, safe, and valued. It gives us such peace of mind knowing he is surrounded by people who truly care about his wellbeing and happiness.
The home itself is always clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, with a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Communication is excellent - we are kept informed and feel reassured that any concerns are listened to and addressed promptly.
Most importantly, my father is happy there. Seeing him smile, engaged in activities and chatting with staff, means everything to us. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, warmth, and professionalism shown by the whole team. We highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your kind words regarding the care your father receives. It was truly heartwarming for the whole team to read your message.
Knowing that your father feels comfortable and valued here is our highest priority. We genuinely enjoy his company, and he is a much-loved member of...
My father had been here for 3 weeks. Unfortunately he was end of life. On every occasion we requested a call should my father's health deteriorate so that we could be there when he passed. We got a call after he passed. When i said on the phone prior we should have been called the carer was taken back. My mother & I turned up at the lodge to see my father & I asked again why we hadnt been called to be told it was quick she checked him he was breathing then went to give someone a cup of tea & he was gone. My father died alone. Not only that after saying our goodbyes upon leaving the carer asked whether we would be taking his stuff & i was shocked & said we would come back in the morning as this was late at night. On our return we went to his room was passed a black bag by the cleaner. No one asked how we were or passed on their condolences. We packed his bags, tv and personal belongings wasnt helped they turned all their back on us at the coffee machine when leaving and didnt assist!
While we offer our condolences, it is disappointing that this review focuses solely on the final hour, overlooking the exceptional care and friendliness our team provided throughout his stay. We worked hard to support your large family, including arranging for a local Priest to visit and it is a...
The staff at Aran Lodge have been amazing. They took great care of my mother in the 14 months she was with them. Their patience and kindness is beyond just a job for them.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Your mum has been more than a delight since she's been with us. Nothing makes us smile more than seeing her get up and dance to the singer, or watching her pottering around, watering plants and folding washing.
Beautiful care given by all staff in a warm & safe environment from outstanding people.
All aspects of personal living identified & supported through nursing, nutritional, social & emotional care..
No other words needed.
Thank you.

Knowing that our care helped someone feel safe, supported, and at peace truly means everything to us.
I shared your message with the whole team, it really touched them.
Thank you for taking the time to write this.
Our experience during a very difficult time was of joining with an extended family who really cared. They had the knowledge and experience to care for Dad's needs, in a caring and efficient environment. Every member of staff was 'over and above' with making sure Dad's needs were met, not only needs, but preferences and interests too. We were always warmly welcomed and would highly recommend Aran Lodge for their warmth, professionalism and efficiency.
Thank you so much for sharing this. It means a great deal to know your dad was cared for as an individual, not just for his needs but for who he was. Our team will be truly touched by your words and the trust you placed in us. They loved the christmas drinks you genreously donated for too. We are very grateful for your recommendation.
We were very happy with the level of care my mum received. Mum was safe, warm and well looked after. The staff were exceptional in all their caring roles for my mum. Her room was clean and tidy, Mum's bed was changed every day and not once were there any bad smells. My mum had dementia and did not eat she had enough of life and sadly passed to soon.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
We would like to thank Aran Lodge in Westcliffe for taking care of our dad for the short time he was with you. You took care of him with dignity. Even though he wasn't eating, you always offered him food and drink. It's nice that you have tea and coffee facilities in a lounge where we often went whilst you were taking care of my father's private needs. It really is a shame he didn't get to appreciate everything you had to offer. We can't thank you enough for your help in making our father's last days comfortable.
The staff at Aran Lodge are so kind and caring. My mum was in safe hands for the last few days of her life. Many thanks to you all.
Thank you for your Review, thank you for trusting us with her care.
My husband was taken into Aran Lodge straight from hospital. He was looked after from that moment on with such caring staff/carers. The home itself was homely and welcoming. The food was excellent and well catered for. Activities were good for all and entertainment was always layed on. The garden was superb. I cannot find fault only recommend to anyone wanting their loved ones well looked after. Thank you all in Aran Lodge.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt words. Your husband was a special part of our home, and his sudden passing was deeply felt by all of us. It's been lovely seeing you've built a connection with L too. You'll always be part of the Aran Lodge family & please come by if you're in the area.
She was shown such empathy and attentiveness in her last days and her dignity was restored by each and every member.
Such a clean and inviting care home for the residents and their family with the added bonus of Luna the dog providing companionship.
I just wish Mum had become a resident a long time ago as I know she would have had a much better quality of life and enjoyed the activities provided and the delicious food ...the lasagne looked amazing.
Thank you again, I am so happy Mum spent her last days in such comfort and I had the weight lifted off me knowing she was in such good hands.
Thank you so much, for your kind and thoughtful words. It meant so much to us to care for your mum, even if only for a short time. We truly would have loved more time with her, she was a lovely lady. Luna definitely felt the bond too and adored her visits. Wishing you comfort in the days ahead, and thank you again for trusting us.

Thank you for all that you did for mymother in law and for us to make her passing peaceful.
While it was only 9 days, it's warming to hear the impact that our staff had on both you and your mother-in-law. Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to leave this review.
My stepmother has been in the home now for 17 months and I cannot fault the care and attention that she has received. The management put a lot of effort into providing entertainment theme days and other activities. The home is open and welcoming to visitors at any time and is always very clean and tidy. Medical and personal care is also excellent and well managed.
Thank you so much for your review. B is such a wonderful lady to have with us. Thank you for complimenting our themed days, the residents love them and all the different foods they get to experience. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Our father was only in Aran Lodge for six days, but during that short time the care he received was excellent. All the staff were friendly and supportive to me during my visits and they made our father's last days as comfortable and peaceful as they could be.
Thank you for your Review Keitih, he Was a lovely man and we were happy to make you both as comfortable as we could.
