I honestly couldn't recommend Aran lodge enough. My Grandad Jim is here, it means so much knowing that he is somewhere that feels so personal, welcoming and genuinely caring. Being a smaller, family-run care home really shows - there's such a lovely homely atmosphere, and the care feels individual rather than just routine. The staff are incredibly attentive, friendly and always make an effort with both the residents and their families. We recently attended the family BBQ and it was absolutely amazing! The chefs did such a wonderful job, with lovely homemade food that genuinely felt like it had been cooked with love. It was so nice seeing everyone together, enjoying themselves and being made to feel so welcome. You can tell that the staff really care about the people they look after, and that means everything to us as a family. Thank you to everyone at Aran lodge for the kindness, care and attention you give my grandad.

My Grandad has been here for 3 weeks and gets only best service. I had such a lovely time at the family bbq today, such good food, the LOVELIEST staff and thank you for treating us all so well. You make my grandad feel seen because of how much everyone is a family here at Aran Lodge. You may be small, but a mighty good care home!

The staff were always lovely and friendly showed so much compassion for the residents. Always made you feel welcome. Looked after my dad and the care and support they gave him was outstanding always went above and beyond. A big thank you to the Aran Lodge family.

My Dad is currently in Aran Lodge, and I can not praise this care home. His needs are met in every level. The chefs are fantastic, and meals are fresh and home cooked. Because the home is small, its personal and has a warm and welcoming feel. It's immensely clean , smells fresh always. Thank you to all the staff at Aran Lodge for going above and beyond for my beloved dad.

I was invited to the family bbq that the care home had put together. Hats off to the staff for creating an amazing and wholesome day for all the residents and visitors. Great food and live singer! Can tell they put alot of effort into this day and making it a community.

Until 25-6-26, I had never heard of Aran Lodge Care Home; my partner was moved from the hospital to there the next day. She remained there until her death on the 19-7-26. She was in room 9, beautiful, clean and quiet; the care she received from the staff could not be faulted, gently repositioned, washed, changed, feed & watered. I visited her every day & was welcomed at the door, cheerfully politely and given an update on her, then left together, unless there was something they needed to do. On her last day, I was told the inevitable news that I had dreaded, went up to her room, held her hand until the end. I was then treated kindly and the true feelings. If I was asked to recomend a home, I would not hesitate to recomend Aran Lodge it is perfect.

I am so happy that she was put there for respite. Kelly the home manager your staff are a credit and all I can say is thank you Maria.

My mother has been at Ambika Lodge for over six months. I can honestly say the staff are kind, caring patient and always treat my mum with dignity. It is a small home which reflects the safety and homely feel, also the exceptional cleanliness. Meals are good different choices to accomodate special diets, in my mothers case, just fussy. Also medically she very well looked after.

I really can't praise this home enough. My mum came here over 2 years ago in a very distressed state and I didn't think she would ever settle. Well fast forward 2 years and she is happy and healthy and cared for beyond my expectations.

She participates in all activities and especially enjoys when Geoff comes.

I could not be happier for her to stay here and am always made to feel welcome when visiting especially from Luna when she is there :-)

The service and care that Paul received in 8 months there was excellent. Nobody could have been kinder or more thoughtful!

I used to visit my friend 2-3 times a week until I had problems with my own health. I found the home, clean and tidy and the care staff very friendly and helpful, the management are very helpful and super friendly, I was very surprised about the way certain residents are allowed to help, with doing the laundry, and table settings, the management put on some great activities, several of which I was invited to attend, the residents are given choices for their dinner, teas, breakfast and supper and from what I saw the food looked very nice, my friend who I visited was given a tea/coffee cup with a baby type beaker. I was also happy with the security system used on the front door of the building.

Fantastic service always very helpfull. Treat resident with total dignity they deserve, very clean, safe, superb activities, food and drink great, staff allway helpfull would recommend this home to anyone who requires this type of help.

I cannot thank the team at this nursing home enough for the exceptional care they provide to my father. From the very beginning, they have shown genuine kindness, patience, and compassion, not just to him but to our entire family.

The staff go above and beyond every single day. They treat my father with dignity and respect, always taking the time to make him feel comfortable, safe, and valued. It gives us such peace of mind knowing he is surrounded by people who truly care about his wellbeing and happiness.

The home itself is always clean, welcoming, and well-maintained, with a lovely, friendly atmosphere. Communication is excellent - we are kept informed and feel reassured that any concerns are listened to and addressed promptly.

Most importantly, my father is happy there. Seeing him smile, engaged in activities and chatting with staff, means everything to us. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication, warmth, and professionalism shown by the whole team. We highly recommend!

My father had been here for 3 weeks. Unfortunately he was end of life. On every occasion we requested a call should my father's health deteriorate so that we could be there when he passed. We got a call after he passed. When i said on the phone prior we should have been called the carer was taken back. My mother & I turned up at the lodge to see my father & I asked again why we hadnt been called to be told it was quick she checked him he was breathing then went to give someone a cup of tea & he was gone. My father died alone. Not only that after saying our goodbyes upon leaving the carer asked whether we would be taking his stuff & i was shocked & said we would come back in the morning as this was late at night. On our return we went to his room was passed a black bag by the cleaner. No one asked how we were or passed on their condolences. We packed his bags, tv and personal belongings wasnt helped they turned all their back on us at the coffee machine when leaving and didnt assist!

The staff at Aran Lodge have been amazing. They took great care of my mother in the 14 months she was with them. Their patience and kindness is beyond just a job for them.

Myself and my family and friends of my father having nothing but praise for the staff and management of Amber Lodge in Westcliff. The staff and management were so caring, kind and friendly to both my father and everyone that visited him. They were all very hard working and considerate to all my father's needs and everyone was very informative and kept us up to date with everything that was happening. Dad's room was large and spacious and bright and airy. Amber Lodge was very clean and tidy. We haven't got a negative thing to say. I would highly recommend Amber Lodge.

I honestly could not have wished for a better nursing home for my mum to be cared for. Sister May and her staff are incredible in what they do for the residents and make the family feel totally at ease. I would highly recommend Amber Lodge

They do an incredible job, and we were so very lucky to have found a place for nan at Amber Lodge and would recommend to other families without hesitation.
