It was a short and sweet visit from you and your wife. It was a pleasure to look after her and we are very pleased to hear that we were able to meet her needs and that she enjoyed her stay with us.

Your mum has truly moved into Ambika Lodge and made this her home. Staff are mindful of her changing needs and preferences and try their best to meet them. Your help and support are also immense.

It is sad that you haven’t given the full facts of what happened. We understand it is hard for you as it is the 1st anniversary. We explained to you on several occasions what happened. You thanked us by saying how “welcome and happy” your mum felt and that you “would always recommend the home to anyone”. She was found kneeling on the floor by her bed and was checked over. Staff assisted her back to bed at her request, as she had no injuries and was feeling weak. At about 8 am, our nurse felt that she would benefit from an assessment at the hospital as her Oxygen levels had dropped. It took a lot of persuading to convince her to go. The paramedics were informed of the incident as part of their assessment. Ambulance crews and the hospital have to report any concerns and raised none. You made similar allegations to CQC, this was investigated and a response was sent to you. You didn’t collect her belongings for nearly a month. We didn't charge you. Your mum is sadly missed.
