Home could not have been more helpful and understanding, both to myself and my mother, highly recommend
On my dad's last day with us not only were they there for my dad, but they supported us through every stage of dad's passing and I can't tell you how much that meant to us as a family.
I truly believe that if Dad had been with us longer he would have been very happy there. So to all the staff that looked after my dad thank you for everything you did, you were all amazing and to Dad's nurse we will never forget you, we could not have got through that day without you.
Thank you Sue, I have shared your words with all of our staff so they know how much of an impact they made on you and your family during your time here. All residents are treated as family and knowing you all felt so comfortable and supported means everything to us.
Many friends were made and bonds were built for my family at Aran Lodge and some lasting friendships have been made. A network like this is so rare and incredibly important when dealing with complex issues such as residential or end-of-life care.
My Grandfather's final few months were made much easier by the staff who I can't recommend highly enough. The sensitivity they showed when he reached the end of his journey was above and beyond. We are truly grateful for everything that they have done for us.
Even the fact that she visits us on a weekly basis shows how much this place meant to you all. Anyone who comes into this home is treated as an extension of our family, and you and your family were no exception. You are all more than welcome to visit at any time. Thank you so much for your thoughtful and kind review.
What a beautiful final resting place for my dad's final days. The staff are outstanding. The facilities and rooms including lounge, bathrooms are spotless clean. I thank you.
Thank you Sean, we want our home to feel like a home to everyone. I have passed your feedback on to our staff.
Mum was in and out of hospital between April and August 2024 and cared for at Aran Lodge in between. It became her safe space and second home. The team there are kind, caring, and compassionate. They were never too busy to stop and talk to either Mum or any visitors and nothing was too much trouble. Our memories of her time there are positive and we know that she will be missed by them - and us as well.
We recently received a lovely card from your family, thank you so much for your kind words both here and on the card. She was such a sweet and caring person, some staff still refer to the room as hers. We hope you and the family are all doing well.
My husband went into Aran Lodge whilst I had a respite break. I was worried about leaving him but there was no need as he was given first-class care. Nothing was too much trouble. The home was lovely and the staff were excellent and my husband himself said he felt very relaxed and welcome. He said he would certainly go into Aran Lodge again in the future allowing me to have a carefree respite break. Thank you again Aran Lodge.
We would gladly have your husband back with us whenever you need Josephine, thank you for your kind words and we're so glad he enjoyed his time.
You are always met with a welcome.
My wife is comfortable and recognizes the care and attention she receives, she has said that she is indeed in the right place.
The staff are caring and kind. Aran Lodge is always clean.
I am confident that Aran Lodge could do any more for my wife.
Thank you very much for your review. It's warming to hear she has found the right place with us as we feel the same. We're incredibly grateful for our staff we have and the care they provide.
Our mother stayed at Aran Lodge for palliative and end-of-life care. The service, support and care provided by everyone at the home were excellent. The care home provided everything we could ask to give Mum all the dignity and respect we would have wished for during her last weeks. The attention given by all at the care home exceeded our expectations, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to any potential user.
My mother stayed at Aran Lodge for her end-of-life care. I can't speak highly enough of the care and compassion she received. She was only there a short time, but the way she was treated as a person rather than a patient moved me. My mum was a private and proud lady and at all times she was treated with respect and the dignity she deserved. The home was calm and the staff attentive, it was homely and warm. I was touched to see carers just go in and stroke my mum's head, to reassure her. We had dreaded that final moment but she passed in peace and comfort, all of which was given by Aran Lodge and its angels. Everyone took time with us too. Making sure our feelings were included, we were always made to feel welcome. It's fair to say they made a very difficult time much easier. I will be forever grateful. The residents seemed happy and content and each individual's needs were clearly met. If your loved one is lucky to be placed here I want you to know they are in careful and caring hands.
Thank you so much for one of the kindest and most moving reviews we've had. I have shared this on our work group chat as I know this will mean the world for them to see. We are very lucky that our staff are extremely caring, thoughtful and empathic to our residents and their loved ones. While your...
I was so very impressed by Aran Lodge. They provide the best care for their residents that I have ever seen, I know because my mother was in care homes for 8 years. The level of dedication and kindness shown by the staff is remarkable. They engaged with my partner throughout the day, making sure she had everything she needed. A most extraordinary place, with the best staff ever. A big shout out to the manager - who runs the facility with attention and compassion.
Thank you so much for your kind words Robert. It was a pleasure to look after your wife, and we're so glad to hear how you both have settled in the area now. Please feel free to come by whenever you're able.
I cannot thank all staff at Aran Lodge enough for their professional palliative nursing and care given to my mum over her last four weeks. All staff managed to reach my mum and give her their utmost comfort and care which she needed so much at this time, out of a hospital environment. I will be eternally grateful for your support and kindness to my mum and myself. The staff understood my mum so well and were able to meet all her nursing and caring needs. Even with such health needs, Mum had some really happy and enjoyable days with you, eating and drinking well when she could and interacting with the activities with other residents which gives me enormous peace. Mum’s needs were totally met and I could not ask for more. The home-from-home environment was so peaceful for Mum and myself.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at Aran Lodge. It's deeply touching to hear how our team's care made a difference for your mum during her time with us. Your mother was so loved here, especially by Luna (the Cavapoo). You did an amazing job handling everything for Mum. We all hope you and your family are doing well.
All the staff are very attentive and supportive with all of my mum's daily needs, she is still able to walk from her room into the lounge which they assist with as she walks using a frame.
We are very happy with her room and the care and attention she gets from all the staff they are all so kind, and have the time to spend with her during the day when we are not visiting.
Mum has the ability to participate in activities which are reading, board games, television, listening to music, and talking to all the staff which she loves
We are able to come and go at any time which is really important as we all work different times during the week, and we are able to take Mum out for visits with the support of the staff.
It's made a really sad situation much more bearable.
Thank you to all.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It was such a special honour having your mother in our home until the end. She was loved by all staff. We're happy to know you felt comfortable in our home and able to make it your own whilst visiting. You know you're more than welcome, invited even, to keep coming back and seeing us all. Love, Aran Lodge family.
Thanks again for making my mum’s last few days as comfortable as possible.
We wish you all the best in the future.
This was a situation we had not, in any way, expected or planned for however the team managed the whole process seamlessly, took great pains to make sure Mum was settled in with the minimum of fuss and then went the extra mile to make sure we were all ok as well.
The home is spotlessly clean and tidy, all the team are so kind and caring, the facilities are first-class and we can’t speak highly enough of them all.
When Mum eventually passed away, they sat with her (and us) until the end, some of the team wouldn’t even go home as they still had us to look after as well.
Aran Lodge has certainly changed our opinion of care homes and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the home and the team to anyone.
Your praise for our home and caring team warms our hearts. It was our privilege to be there for your family during...
During this very sad, difficult, and worrying period of time, I can rest easier knowing that my father is in very good hands. This care home is very well run by a competent leader, and the staff are more than helpful and efficient in everything they do. Thank you Aran Lodge for making my father's last days as comfortable as possible.
Your heartfelt words mean a great deal to us. We are touched by your trust and appreciation. Ensuring your father's last days were as comfortable as possible was our utmost priority.
If there's anything more we can do for you or your family, please don't hesitate to reach out. Our thoughts are with you, and we are here to support you in any way we can.
Difficult to explain the worry and anxiety and distress at the thought of using a care home. It wasn't something we expected but life sometimes has a way of turning things upside down. So I'd just say that whilst I am still worried about Mum, the Director and her team have been so utterly and incredibly wonderful. They've managed expectations they've looked after Mum so tenderly and beautifully at least I know I don't have to worry about the care she is being given. The environment is homely, it's clean and tidy and food is excellent having seen some proper 'home made cooking' and despite the obvious, you could be forgiven for thinking its a hotel. Whilst I wish no one had to go through such challenging times if it should happen then go visit and you'll get some peace of mind.
Thank you for your kind words. As you know it’s a pleasure looking after her and having you all visit.
