My husband has only been at Woodland Court for 5 months. In that time both he and I have been made very welcoming. He is happy here and I feel he is in a safe environment so I don't have to worry about him. He gets on well with the staff and they are very kind to him. I am grateful that I found Woodland
Court and that they had room for him when I needed it. I would recommend Woodland Court to everyone.

Never thought my mother would have dementia, so care was never an issue, so lucky to get her into Woodland Court. Hard decision to make, but she couldn't be in a better place. Staff are wonderful nothing too much trouble. From the management down to the cleaning staff all couldn't be better. So grateful.

Woodland Court is a lovely run care home, the staff are so friendly, welcoming and a pleasure to talk to, they are so patient with the elderly, they engage in conversation on a one-to-one and even with groups of them. The level of care is outstanding, every one you could ask, for your loved ones, they
go above and beyond to make sure our loved one's are happy and safe. I would highly recommend to anyone this care home. Great job everyone that works here. Thank you for all you do to make this place work so well.

I have been visiting my friend in Woodland Court for just over a year now. The home itself is welcoming and friendly. The residents present as settled and content. There is a good rapport between residents and cares both the individual or in group activities like playing games such as higher and lower,
craft, singing and painting nails which are regular features. Personal care appears good and the home clean. Teatime sees varied nutritional food of resident's choice. Every effort is made to ensure residents receive good care.

Mum has been here for over 4 years now and is very happy. She tells anyone who visits her that it is the best place to be if you can't stay in your own home. The staff are fantastic, the food is delicious, and I am really well looked after. It is a relief to know that she is so happy, and I don't have
to worry about her. When she was ill recently and in isolation, I was kept informed of her progress. I would happily recommend Woodland Court.

Mam has been a resident at Woodland Court for near on 6 years now, in all that time, the care has been outstanding. As her illness progresses the staff still treat her with respect and patience, even when she is being difficult or is agitated. I know she is safe, secure and cared for. Since the new
manager has taken over, I have seen positive changes in the home.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.800)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.800) out of 10 for Woodland Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 38 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.800 for Woodland Court is calculated as follows: ( (363 Excellents x 5) + (84 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 450 Ratings = 4.8
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Woodland Court is based on 38 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 38 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
