Our dad has lived in Hartwell for 4:5 years. When he moved in we didn't think he would make Christmas and the care and compassion provided by everyone gave us another 4 years with him.
We lost him on Sunday and in our time sitting with him we witnessed how much interaction he was getting daily from
each and every member of staff. We as a family were supported with empathy and were never made to feel we were in the way.
If you are looking for a care home, look no further. Hartwell is led perfectly and the staff supported by this leadership which then presents unity and love towards all the residents.
Thank you for the love and support since July 2021. We so moved dad into the right place.

Mulberry House has beautiful gardens with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. My mum first went to stay there for respite and we were impressed by the warmth of the staff and the variety of daily activities which are fun and inclusive (film nights, quizzes, puzzles, sing-a-longs etc).
My mum has Alzheimer's and Mulberry House is about the right size - big enough for her to move elsewhere if she feels anxious, but small enough that she is never going to get lost. I can't praise the caring staff highly enough. My mum makes quite a bit of fuss about having a bath and the staff are very patient and understanding. They work as a team and show kindness and compassion in every situation. My mum feels safe there and has settled in well. Thank you Mulberry House!

Whenever I visit my Mum there is always something going on that is engaging for all the residents. All staff treat residents like their own family which is so nice to see. They genuinely care about each and every one. If Mum is joining in an activity when I arrive I can join in if Mum wants me to or
we go off and sit somewhere quite to chat.
Staff have fun with all residents whilst respecting them and their needs, they are all kind and compassionate to both residents and family members. The food that is cook and served each day looks and smells delicious. I feel very fortunate that my Mum is at the Orchards as we did not chose this home, social services found a space and Mum went from hospital to there during Covid.
Well done to Team Orchards you are all truly amazing

Mulberry House is simply wonderful in so many respects. My mum has dementia and is often confused, needing reassurance, and the staff are caring and compassionate, and their patience is endless. The home provide varied activities every day and mum especially enjoys the musical and artistic ones and
being busy helps to distract her from her worries- it is great to see her smiling and laughing. The staff competently see to her personal hygiene and she is fed well on home cooked meals and plenty of tea and cake. The home itself is bright and cheerful and spotlessly clean and there are beautiful gardens with great views to walk in during the summer. It gives me so much peace of mind to know she is settled and safe and it is a pleasure to visit and interact with the kind, dedicated staff. I can also follow the Facebook page and see what my mum has been doing when I'm not there. I can't fault it and am so grateful for the marvellous care she is receiving. Thank you Mulberry House

I have been visiting my friend in Woodland Court for just over a year now. The home itself is welcoming and friendly. The residents present as settled and content. There is a good rapport between residents and cares both the individual or in group activities like playing games such as higher and lower,
craft, singing and painting nails which are regular features. Personal care appears good and the home clean. Teatime sees varied nutritional food of resident's choice. Every effort is made to ensure residents receive good care.

After viewing 2 other residential homes I viewed Mulberry House. There was no comparison whatsoever as Mulberry House was by far the best in presentation, ambience, cleanliness, staff friendliness & modern facilities. My mother was coming to Mulberry House as a palliative resident. Nothing was
too much trouble. Her care was excellent & the staff were very caring. Her room was warm & cosy. We were able to hang some pictures to make the room feel more like home. All precautions were put in place in case my mother fell out of bed. Any questions or queries were handled efficiently. We visited daily & were welcomed by the staff. The tea trolley at 3pm was a delight with cake offerings & we were always asked if we wanted a cup of tea or coffee. Sadly the end was apparent & we were called by Mulberry House. They drove over to pick my father up. We were able to spend time with my mother until she passed. The staff were brilliant & I couldn't have asked for anything more.

From our first visit to Brunswick House we knew it was the right place for mum. Brunswick house has a lovely homely atmosphere. Mum had a lovely room and was very happy there. Sadly after 3 weeks at the home mum became unwell and passed away 5 weeks later. All the wonderful staff were very caring,
always giving mum the best attention and making her last weeks comfortable and happy. As visitors we, the family, were also made to feel very welcome and at home, nothing was to much trouble for the staff. I would thoroughly recommend Brunswick House.

I recently had to arrange some respite care for my dad. It was quite short notice, so I wasn't sure if Inglefield would be able to help. I needn't have worried. A room was available for my dad, and on arrival, all the staff made him feel welcome. On contacting him during his stay, he was always telling
me how nice the food was and how lovely the staff were. It was reassuring knowing dad was in safe hands. I would like to thank all the staff for making his stay enjoyable.

It is incredibly rewarding to hear that our staff made him feel welcome right away, and that you felt reassured knowing he was in safe hands. We will pass on your compliments regarding the lovely staff and the nice food-our teams truly strive to ensure every guest feels comfortable and well-cared for.

I have been in Inglefield for nearly 5 1/2 years. From the start I have felt comfortable and have been treated with great kindness and care and great nursing carer. No requests for anything have been too much trouble. It could not be better. The food is excellent and variable, always well cooked and
keep available for any special requirements. The activities are variable and fun!
The standard of cleanliness is orangsied by our excellent house keeper and it is always kept beautifully. Our manager Charlotte is a very fun women and always approachable and will deal with all requests quickly and effectively. I would not want to be anywhere else but here, my home.

My husband was made very welcome by the delightful staff and lovingly cared for. The staff are excellent and really care for their charges. I had two weeks respite care at Mulberry House after major surgery. I was looking for complete rest to prepare me for being at home alone. The care I received was second to none - both management & staff did their utmost to let me have the rest I needed, whilst keeping a close eye on all of my requirements

I was unable to take advantage of the varied activities on offer due to my circumstances, so I can't comment on this aspect.
My grateful thanks to you all for your care & kindness.

We moved Mum to Inglefield from another home in Newport where we had concerns about the quality of care. Mum has been very happy here. From the second day the care staff were happy to get her out of bed and into a chair and take her out into the garden. The staff are extremely conscientious and friendly
and the quality of care provided has been exemplary throughout the last two years of her stay here. She is more responsive in this home and smiles and laughs a lot. She is much sharper because of the stimulus she gets from the staff and the time they invest in her in the activities room. If only all nursing homes were this good.

Mulberry House Residential Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My Mum has been a resident in Mulberry House for the last 3 years as she is living with dementia. She recently celebrated her 90th birthday and the staff could not have done more to make her feel special, going out of their way to facilitate a private party for her friends and relatives.
The standard
of care she receives daily is very high, and the activities on offer are absolutely fantastic. The home has a warm and friendly feel, is clean and well maintained, residents are treated with respect and care. Making the decision to move a loved one into a care home is so difficult, but I genuinely believe it is the best place for my beloved Mum, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
