My stepmum had dementia and was cared for at Inglefield for just under two years; she sadly passed away this January. During her time there, she was looked after with dignity and respect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were always friendly and got to know my dad very well as he visited
most days.

I needed to arrange some respite for my mother at very short notice. The team at Inglefield went out of their way to help us and managed to accommodate her despite the tight deadline. She spent two weeks there and was well cared for by the friendly staff. She particularly enjoyed the food! I'd have
no hesitation in booking another stay there should the need arise.

My mother died in January 2025 aged 101 years old. She was a resident at the care home for over two years and during that time had outstanding care from the staff. Her personal hygiene was always immaculate, the food i saw her consume looked interesting and tasty - mother was a very good cook and
fussy with her standards, but seemed to really enjoy what she ate. She also enjoyed the activities, which were varied and imaginative - in particular she loved the Dementia Choir (although she couldn't sing well!) Above all, the warmth and genuine caring she had from the staff meant that I had peace of mind, knowing she was being looked after so well - at her end of life, the care she was given was professional and gentle. I think she was very fortunate to be a resident there and will always be grateful for the patience and understanding she was given.

Have been to see mum. Genuine friendly greeting on arrival. The staff happily gave me an update on mum her health, mood and general wellbeing. Mum was smiling happy and in a lovely mood. Dressed, clean and immaculately presented for her day. We are grateful for all the amazing support and effort the

My father was discharged from hospital to Inglefield for palliative care. He was deteriorating quite fast but in fact faster than we knew. The staff all did their best in a changing and challenging situation to make sure our wishes that he passed without undue pain and peacefully were fulfilled.

My dad has been staying at Inglefield Care Home and I couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention he has received. The staff are incredibly compassionate and attentive, always going above and beyond to ensure his comfort and well-being. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, and provide
a warm, homely atmosphere that makes my dad feel right at home. The activities set up by the care home have been wonderful, keeping him engaged and happy. Communication with the staff has been excellent; they are always available to discuss any concerns and keep me updated on my dad's progress. Neither my wife nor I had had any previous experience of residential care and although my wife's visit was for only 7 days we were able to see just how good the home was. For a start, it was good that there was ample parking and a driveway right up to the front door. The building is attractive and the
inside cosy and welcoming despite the considerable activity as the staff went about their jobs. The staff were friendly and kind and were soon calling my wife by her first name. The food and recreation were of high quality. Our early departure on the last day was dealt with very professionally with clothes etc. neatly packed.

My mum has been in Inglefield since Covid and when she arrived in not great shape. Since then the attention she has had at Inglefield has been excellent, very clear and, for my mum, really effective. For the longer-term residents, the activities programme really works. The room they use is lovely and
as my mum doesn't like being on her own, really uses up the days positively.
Inglefield gives clients two things - stability (regular, repeated predictability) and everything else is stimulation to keep the brain going. I have never seen my mum asked if she wants a cup of tea in a simple way... a joke is made, a comment on her room, her clothes etc.- all to provoke her to engage and always positive. Every single staff member does this from the nurses to the chef and housekeeping, to the boss and admin. It's very impressive.
But the main thing they do, you can't pay for. They care.

I was made welcome and my dietary needs were well-managed. A phone call from the manager before I arrived to go through what I could and couldn't eat was reassuring and within a short time after arrival, I had a visit from the chef too. Staff were kind and helped me when I asked, except when the one
nurse on duty was very busy. Drinks were always made available and I was glad to have internet access so that I could amuse myself in my room. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and so I wasn't able to get outside.
It would have been good to have a grab rail on the wall beside the toilet as my commode chair would not fit over the toilet and I had to transfer from my wheelchair which was hard without anything to hold on to. I hope this will be in place for my next visit.
All of the staff did their best to make me welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere is friendly and when I went home they said they would miss me!

What a difference the days make. No truer word could be said for all the staff at Inglefield. From the tea/coffee guys through activities, then the nurses, carers, cleaners, gardeners, maintenance and owners. This home is a home from home in everything it does for the residents. Our mum has had her

My mother moved into Inglefield Nursing & Residential Home three months ago, first for a trial month and then on a permanent basis. The staff are wonderful – always so kind, compassionate, accommodating and professional. She's very appreciative of the food. There appears to be at least one proper cooked
meal option for every lunch and dinner, and I happen to know that isn’t the case in all care homes. The period prior to her moving into residential care was quite stressful for me. Knowing that she’s being extremely well looked after has really taken the weight off my shoulders. Heartfelt thanks to all at Inglefield.

My friend had her first experience with Inglefield earlier in 2022 for a little respite due to her loneliness in her bungalow. She always made me promise not to put her in a home! Her opinion changed after her visit. She then returned to Inglefield later in the year for another short break, but decided
to stay, which was her decision. I think that her decision to stay says everything you would want to know about Inglefield. She was very particular about lots of things and Inglefield catered to them. The staff were very caring and they made her last days on this earth very special. Thank you all for everything that made her life enjoyable.

My sister has been a resident at Inglefield for only two months so it is early days yet, but so far so good. My sister is Downs Syndrome with learning difficulties & slight mobility issues following two falls this year resulting in broken bones. The staff have all been lovely to her and she loves them
all. There is a fantastic array of activities each weekday which she eagerly joins in, this includes being involved in a choir which she loves, they also go out on trips to local places. My sister has some dietary requirements which have been accommodated without issue, they even took a special mince pie on one outing where there was going to be mulled wine and mince pies, just so that she didn't miss out, how wonderfully thoughtful of the staff to do that. So far she is very happy at Inglefield which is a great relief to me. Long may that continue.
