Overall Experience

Mam has been a resident at Woodland Court for near on 6 years now, in all that time, the care has been outstanding. As her illness progresses the staff still treat her with respect and patience, even when she is being difficult or is agitated. I know she is safe, secure and cared for. Since the new manager has taken over, I have seen positive changes in the home.

Reply from Samantha Richardson, Manager at Woodland Court

I find Woodlands Court a wonderfully warm and supportive environment for both residents and staff. The general atmosphere is one of big happy family. Beyond obviously, the people making Woodlands the building too appears to further enhance the kind caring and loving atmosphere. The endearing nooks and crannies of the building add to this feeling. I also like the fact that new items- paraphernalia regularly appear- arty and interesting which no doubt stimulate positively the minds of the residents. The food is good too! All in all a wonderful place!

The staff here are fantastic, Mum's condition is such that she can be very difficult, and violent even at times but the staff are so patient and caring to her. I am so grateful that she is in this care home.

Friendly staff. Found in the last year an improvement. Loved the get-together 'ABBA' experience. There are no visitor toilets, not sure which we should use.

It's like a home away from home. All the staff are so friendly and care for Mum very well. It's not impersonal at all. The size of the home is perfect as everyone knows everyone. Very clean. Mum is treated with dignity. Very happy with everything.

Myself and my wife are so pleased with Mum's transition into her new home. When we say 'home' that is the most evident word. Mum has been in five-star homes and she has not received the care and support that she has received over the past few weeks. All care staff have been amazing, the manager brilliant and we can't thank you enough.

The staff are friendly and they look after my Mum well. I know she is safe and cared for. Any problems are dealt with fairly quickly. I appreciate that there is a lot of laundry to cope with but sometimes items take a long time before reappearing in the wardrobe.
