Blossom House staff are extremely caring and kind. The morale is very good. The rooms are light and airy and exceptionally clean. Food is consistently good. The standard of care is well managed and is lovingly given.

I haven't gone into dementia a great deal, all I know as a family member of a resident I've learnt on the way. I believe the staff really are motivated to give the residents a good life, the best they can, there is always one or more looking after them when in the sitting room. They also arrange a lot of activities for them to do and I'm pleased my mother now joins in and enjoys.

They are most helpful in answering questions I might have, also making sure I'm ok.

I approached Blossom House at a time of crisis with my mother admitted to hospital and my father urgently needing respite care. I was met with compassion and understanding by the manager and every member of staff I came into contact with. Since my father's arrival at Blossom House, I have been impressed by the friendliness and professionalism displayed by all staff - it has been most impressive and reassuring to me that he is in good hands.

My brother has been living at Blossom House for eighteen months now and we are very impressed with the attention and care that he gets on a daily basis. I'm pleased to say he has a good working relationship with the staff and is very happy and settled there. We the family feel we can call in at any time and speak to the manageress or the lady who is head of care and speak to them about any issues with him. My brother also enjoys the freedom of exercise, to go out into the community and the staff again make sure he is safe and all checks are done and reporting in and out of the building.

My Dad a resident at Blossom House he is very happy and is always being encouraged to join in with activities he loves Bingo. Dad says he is very happy with his room and the food. We visit Blossom every week and we are very happy with Dads care and we feel supported and the staff and Management are always available to ask questions and they act very quickly. The Home has just had a lovely refurbishment and it has given the Home lovely areas of brightness and all the finishing touches give the home a lovely homely and cozy look. Dad has also seen the changes and loves the Home too.

Dad has been at Blossom House for nearly 2 years and settled quickly. He is content and speaks highly of the care and kindness he receives. The food is excellent which he thoroughly enjoys. Blossom House is clean and well managed. There are regular thorough reviews and we can speak to the Manager or Head of Care with any concerns which are always dealt with quickly. We have great peace of mind knowing that Dad is content and very well cared for. We would not hesitate to recommend Blossom House.

My wife is well looked after kindly. Specifics such as sensor blanket and change of rooms have all been positive. Am not sure but I think more walking with support. Would be good for my wife's mobility.

I looked after my mum since 2008 when she had her first stroke. On her forth stroke which was in 2015 she suffered very badly, it all became too much for me and she had to go into care. I even tried to get her home with me and a stroke team of nurses, but she was too ill.

Blossom House Nursing Home has been excellent and the care for my mother has been second to none. I still love my mum very much and visit as much as I can. I can cope with life much better now.

We are very happy with the home chosen for my mother and she is happy there which obviously accounts for a lot. However we do have issues with her wardrobe, she never wears her own clothes and sometimes she is scruffy and unkempt. We have taken this up with them and they have taken our complaint seriously and addressing the issue.

My Mother has always been well-cared for and well-respected, despite her occasional difficulties. The staff are always friendly, and the house itself is well-equipped and has a pleasant setting. I have complete admiration for the staff and their devotion to duty and to the care of the residents.

Mum has been in Blossom House for three years. When she arrived we had been told that she would probably only survive another three months. She couldn't feed herself or move unaided. today she feeds herself pureed food and can move from the chair, bed etc to a wheelchair with the help of two carers. She and her room are always clean and the staff always very caring towards her. They have nursed her through about three serious bouts of ill health, one of which she wasn't expected to come out of. Although mum can no longer speak for herself due to the dementia I'm sure she feels safe and happy there.

My Mother has been a resident for over 2 years and it was the most heart wrenching decision we made however the staff put our minds at ease and now we are secure in the knowledge that she is well looked after and most especially safe. They have a really good program of activities including outside artistes and all residents are actively encouraged to take part, and are shortly going to extend this into weekends as well. The staff for me are really what is great about Blossom House and not only do they look after Mum really well they interact well with friends and family as well as with the Residents and we have become friends. Recently I have noticed that the management and staff attend regular training sessions and they are also participating in the NVQ training scheme which is really great for their development. I am happy that my Mum is in the best place possible for her care and the food is very nice and cooked fresh daily. They are improving the facilities all the time and they actively listen to our comments.

My Mum has been living at Blossom House for nearly two years now and I have peace of mind knowing that she is getting the best possible care. I visited several homes before deciding on Blossom House and I now know I made the right choice. I have on occasion stayed at lunch time and eaten with Mum and the home cooked meals are delicious. The care received at Blossom House is second to none and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

During a time of great distress and grief over lack of support and understanding, Blossom House stood out as a beacon of hope for my mother and our family. They lost no time in giving us the opportunity to place our Mum within a caring and nurturing environment that was essential for a person having Dementia. The team at Blossom House offered safety and protection, kindness and care, healthcare, and along with nourishing freshly cooked food, a chance to recover from a serious weight loss. The continuing support given to both Mum and our family has been a blessing. Blossom House staff have also shown us that humour along with patience is a skill that they have in abundance, whilst also maintaining a high level of care, and because of this they have our gratitude and respect along with our appreciation for all that they have, and continue to offer.

This is a lovely friendly care home and the staff are always polite, helpful and very caring to all the residents and members of their families. Although it was a hard decision to make to leave my mother in a care home, the management staff at Blossom House made it easier and nothing was too much trouble. I know that she is well looked after 24/7 and she is so much happier in herself. The daily programme of activities is excellent with plenty of variety and the staff try to get as many of the residents to join in / get involved as they can. There is a corner in the lounge where you can see the things they have been making and getting up to. The homes also arranges entertainers from outside to come in, the best days are when they are all singing along to the old songs, it is great to see them enjoying themselves.

In April of this year, my grandfather moved into Blossom House. This was a difficult decision for the family to make but we knew it was in his best interests. The staff were fantastic at helping him settle in, a helping hand was always available as was the promotion of his independence in tasks he could still manage. He loved the food which is freshly cooked daily, and he got on so well with the staff, they always took the time to have a chat and joke with him which he thoroughly enjoyed. Whenever I visited him, he always looked smart and was doing some form of activity, be it painting, playing dominoes, singing or simply enjoying an old film. The staff really were great with him, and in his last few days nothing was too much trouble, right up until he sadly passed away at the end of July. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

My mother has been a resident at Blossom House since September last year. She has settled well and is happy in her new home. It is always difficult to decide what is best for a parent with dementia, I know I made a good choice with this care home. I visit twice a week at different times and am always made welcome by the staff. It is always a peaceful environment, plenty of activities and entertainment to keep them involved and happy. The care is excellent, the food is home cooked and dietary needs attended to. My mother is healthy and all areas of her care are attended to.

A big thank you to all who care for these special people and their difficulties, you do a great job.
