My husband has been with Engleburn now for 2 months. Having a loved one taken into a care home is such a stress, having to pass all their needs over to strangers. Engleburn never made either of us feel like that, far from it, more like family, they are kind to my husband who has had and is having several health issues, but to myself I have been finding it stressful leaving him, emotions very high. They have been kind explaining I can talk to them anytime. Thank you Engleburn, you're all great.
Oh thank you so much for your kind comments. The pleasure is honestly ours. It is a privilege to be able to help both of you and I hope we can alleviate a bit of your stress. We are always here for anything you need or to help in any way.
My mum was sadly only with Engleburn for 5 months but in that short space of time, she absolutely loved it there. The love and care she received from the staff was amazing all so caring and full of love for her. We loved our weekly trips to the cafe for a cheeky coffee and a doughnut! Can’t thank you all enough for looking after my mum so well
She was lucky to have you all and the love showed through and through was amazing to observe.
What a lovely lady, just sad we didn't get to care for her longer.
Engleburn has and is absolutely fantastic at looking after my M.I.L. It has been challenging at times but they have taken everything in their stride. All the staff and management give 110% which makes it less stressful for us as a family.
Thank you for your kind words they are much appreciated. These challenges are part of what makes our job so special.
The staff are excellent and very caring, everyone is very friendly and helpful. Activities are excellent. One complaint is clothes go missing or on someone else but I understand it must be hard.
Thank you for your kind words. Definitely laundry is an ongoing daily challenge with 76 people's clothes it is never easy. Please be assured we are constantly trying to make it better. Please always let us know if there are any concerns.
The staff and management at Engleburn Care Home are fantastic, compassionate and professional. The team provide a home-from-home atmosphere for their residents and the loved ones who visit them. They cared for my mum as if she was their own. They have a fantastic tea room where we enjoyed tea and cake with Mum, this also made visiting easier as we have a large family and meant we could all visit together. I could not recommend this care home enough. Thank you all.
Thank you, working with you all as a family and with your mum has been our utmost pleasure.
The specialist bed helps with movement. Engleburn is a wonderful, safe environment where patients are safe, happy and cared for.
Thank you.
I found Engleburn staff and home a pleasure, they were always helpful, happy and eager to please, which made us feel welcome any time. The home and rooms smelt clean and fresh. On my visits, my dad was happy and well looked after, even on his bad days, which took the daily stress away from us. Had the opportunity to join him on your successful summer fete. Couldn't ask for more from the management and staff.
Thank you for your kind words, honestly, we were the lucky ones to be able to work with and care for such a lovely gentleman. Sadly missed by all in the home.
My brother-in-law has been a resident at Engleburn since 2020. He is taken on outings regularly and attends Karate lessons weekly. He enjoys the food and having a drink in the onsite pub lounge. For his needs, he is in the best place possible.
Thank you for the kind words. Your brother certainly enjoys a busy life at the home.
At first Dad was reluctant to leave his room as he has always been a very private person. The encouragement and kindness he has been shown has improved his situation no end. He has been on several outings and his quality of life has taken on a new lease of life as he was practically home bound. Thank you all so much.
It is an absolute delight on our side to care for and enjoy the times with your father. It is so lovely to see someone enjoying life again, looking forward to choosing where to go out and having fun planning it. It is also lovely to see him every morning waiting for the maintenance team to come in so that he can undertake his role of chief fish feeder. A pure delight to work with.
Having come from a very small care home with only a few residents, she found it difficult to transition to a slightly larger home and communicate with other residents who had more severe cognitive impairments and care needs than herself. This was despite the effort of everyone at Engleburn to help her integrate with other residents and join in with the numerous activities that are on offer, even though she wasn't always receptive to their encouragement!
Regardless of my mum's short tenure, I would recommend Engleburn as a loving and caring home with engaged and committed staff who go the extra mile to make every resident feel at home.
The pleasure has been ours. We wish you all the very best and hope that Mum settles well and makes new friends in her new home.
Take care.
I have much pleasure in being able to say how much I appreciate all aspects of life at Englebrook. The staff are most tolerant with difficulties with which they are presented by residents and the efforts that are made to keep the residents entertained are really exceptional.
Mr B the pleasure is all ours. We love to make each day different with new activities every week. Thank you for your kind words.
I can't thank Engleburn enough for the way they have cared for both my parents since May of 2022. Sadly, Mum passed away last month, but whilst a resident there took part in all sorts of activities that she had been unable to for many years. We feel both her and Dad got their quality of life back. Despite her extreme reluctance initially to leave her home, she told my sister and I it was like being in a hotel. Both Mum and Dad settled really quickly, in no small part due to the incredibly caring and attentive staff, who have always been excellent about keeping us informed. They have helped Dad through the grieving process with so much love and care that he is now thriving and it almost feels like his dementia is better. We have parts of him back we thought we'd never see again. I can't recommend this home more highly.
Thank you so much, this is so lovely to hear. Your parents were and are a joy to care for and it was so lovely to see that after the struggles of living at home, there could be such a positive change. They both definitely participated and still participate in every activity in the home and this is a joy to share. It helps to have a lovely supporting family to work with.
The cleanliness and safety of those at Engleburn is without exception a top priority even during the Covid lockdown and the extra work, involving Covid tests, staff always had a smile and time to chat.
Having a small friendly separate café on the grounds is a great addition and going there for coffee and cake is a treat for everyone.
There is no doubt in my mind that without the support and the understanding of how we feel and the stresses that we feel at others caring for the ones we love, that we feel we can sleep a little better at night. The care Engleburn provide goes that extra mile.
Thank you for all your support and understanding.
Thank you we hope you enjoy lots more lovely trips to the cafe.
Friendly and polite staff who are always very helpful. Clean and tidy both inside and out. I couldn't wish for a better environment for my mother to be in and any better people to be caring for her. Five stars/ten out of ten.
It's lovely to have such positive feedback and the pleasure is all ours. We are pleased to be able to have mum live in our home and enjoy spending time with both mum and yourself on your visits.
Thank you
Mum moved here 4 weeks before Christmas from hospital and was not walking. She has thrived and is now zipping around behind her Zimmer frame. The carers are so lovely and caring. Engleburn has also been generally helpful at a very stressful time as I have POA. The cafe is a lovely place to meet Mum. One member of staff, in particular, has been the main person I have met with Mum and she has been so welcoming and kind.
We are very glad to have been a help and soon hope to be able to welcome you into the home for normal visiting. Mum really does enjoy the activities and appears happy and settled.
My mother has been a resident for some years and I am impressed with the care that she receives. In particular, the staff are so caring and loving towards Mum. I am also particularly impressed by the way that they have kept the home covid-free but have been flexible about emergency visits. I could not wish for a better place for Mum.
Thank you so much. The pleasure is honestly all ours.
I have found all members of staff friendly, professional and competent, a nice atmosphere. Much care is taken to protect the home from covid. Myself and the family are happy with the care and attention given.
Thank you that is great to hear. Yes keeping Covid out of the home has been a daily battle but one we are winning at the moment.
My friend has been in this care home since the end of Sept 21 to this date Jan 22. A couple of months now. Because of Covid restrictions I've not been able to enter the home or see her room or other parts of the home. But I have seen the entrance foyer, where the Covid tests are rigorously done, and through the glass wall there I've seen the reception area. At a booked time my friend is brought down to see me. They have an excellent idea of a small separate café/restaurant in the grounds and we go there for coffee and cake. Every time I've visited I've only seen happy, friendly and motivated staff. What I've seen of the building is spotless and the café certainly is. My impression is of a well-run, happy care home. If you visit try the chocolate cake in the café...mmmm. I certainly have no concerns and instead, I'm rather pleased she is in their care. I'd rate this 5-star except I don't know about the activities or costs. So the website marks it down...not me.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. The tearooms has made a lovely addition to the home and in these difficult times ensures safe visiting. We will be very glad when we can safely go back to normal visiting in the home.
My wife has been a resident of Engleburn only since September 22nd when she was transferred from her first ever care home where she was unhappy. Engleburn has proven to be an excellent choice and in the shortest time has transformed my wife and raised her spirits such that she is happy and contented with the kindness, expertise, and facilities that are provided, truly wonderful.
Thank you so much for your kind words. You are truly a lovely, caring family to work with and the pleasure is all ours. It is so lovely to see a client enjoy so many of the home's activities and make so many friends.
I find all your staff excellent in all respects and am really happy that my wide is in such a wonderful home.
Thank you, the pleasure is all ours. Lovely family to work with. Looking forward to many more fun times and activities.
