My Mum is very happy and well cared for. The manager and staff are always around when I visit and are very approachable if I need to ask anything. My Mum is less mobile now so is happy sitting in the lounge and is always included in the activities going on if she wants to join in. All good!

I cannot fault the Old Raven. The staff are always on hand to answer any questions of queries. My husband always looks clean, tidy and care is taken about his appearance. i.e colour co-ordinated. His individual needs over the last five years, which have not always been the easiest to deal with,...

I have always found the staff to be very attentive and kind and are lovely to the residents. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home and there is always a warm friendly feel as soon as you walk through the door.

In these times of so much adverse publicity for care homes it is good if others who need care get some reassurance. It is extremely difficult for families to be able to do this themselves and of course, some 'older' people do not have family and it can be a distressing time for them to have to think about 'care'. So pleased to know Phyllis has you there to visit her. Sorry, we do not get to chat often, perhaps at the Christmas party. I try to keep a distance as I know families like to speak to Dionne and the other team leaders who are of course close to Phyllis. Hope you did not mind me asking you to send in a review. My Mum has been living at Old Raven for a few years now and is very happy there. She loves the food and there is a wonderful, homely feeling which I know makes her feel completely at home. For me, that's the most important thing - that she is happy and feels at home.
Overall I think the care she receives is good and I am confident that she is safe and happy. My only issue is her room is not always tidy or clean - there is often a smell and it is clear that the room is not regularly inspected and cleaned. There is also an issue with personal items being lost - nothing of value, but clothing etc., which I appreciate is not necessarily the fault of the carers as the residents have a tendency to 'wander' around and leave things in different places!

Old Raven is a lovely care home with good size rooms and beautiful gardens. It is also nice size in terms of the number of residents and the staff know all the residents by name. The home organises good activities although unfortunately my mother has Alzheimer's so cannot remember them. However, the staff are undertaking strategies to review pictures with her to try and help. Overall this is a lovely care home with a nice "extended" family atmosphere.

Anne has a degree in Health and Social Welfare, as well as the Registered Manager Award and Level 4 NVQ. She has worked in Social Care for over 20 years, the past 14 at Old Raven House.Anne has been central to Old Raven's growth and development, building a strong and committed team of staff who truly strive to create a happy home where people not only feel safe but are able to enjoy their lives.
Anne Marie is the Homes Deputy Manager and leads the Care teams. She is a subject matter expert on Tissue Viability and Falls. She has a Level 4 Health and Social Care qualification.
Dionne is a Care team leader and one of four Senior Carers. She is also our Good Practice Champion, Safeguarding Champion, and qualified Phlebotomist.
Lynne is one of two Chefs, as well as our Infection Control Champion.
On a day to day basis, Terry ensures that Old Raven House is Safe. He is the Health & Safety lead and Fire Warden for the home.
Justin is one of two chefs, who pride themselves on producing nutritious, delicious and colourful food, maintaining and building on the good practise in the Kitchen
Graham is part of the home administration team.
