My health has considerably improved since I moved here at the end of 2025. I am now able to restart activities that I used to enjoy. I feel confident enough to go out for, admittedly short, walks. I am pleased to be able to play music once again. All this is down to not having to organise everything myself. I don't have to shop or cook. Many of my health needs can be met without having to go off-site. I made the right decision to move here
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're very happy to hear that your health has improved and that you're now able to enjoy activities that were difficult for you before. We are very proud to see your progress and the independence you have gained. It's wonderful to see how far you have come.
I go and visit a resident at Meadway about once a week. She has been there for about three years. What I like most is that the staff are friendly and they ALWAYS know how my friend is today - I find that very reassuring. The exterior and interior of the building always look well maintained and cared for. My friend's room is a very pleasant room, looking out over the quiet and well looked-after garden and it has an adjoining bathroom. I can't really comment on the food as I don't eat there but they seem to have a good range of activities and my friend is glad that a vicar comes once a month to offer Holy Communion. They could be better at renewing my friend's hearing aid batteries. Otherwise, I think my friend is well cared for and that she is happy there.
Thank you for your lovely review and for your kind comments about Meadway and our staff. We're sorry to hear about the hearing aid batteries. We will make sure this is followed up with the team so that they are renewed when needed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We have always been pleased with the care. All staff (management, carers, housekeeping, kitchen, activities, handyman) appear willing and helpful and friendly.
There is a certain turnover of staff but perhaps that is difficult to avoid.
The kitchen manager and staff have excelled at coping with special dietary needs.
Communication between management and us is very good.
The gardens are beautifully maintained.
We have no complaints.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you are happy with the care and support provided, as well as our friendly team, food, activities and facilities. Your kind words are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team.
Special events such as birthdays are very well supported by the whole team, which contributes to a generally high level of satisfaction with the service. As a regular visitor, I have found that senior team members engage positively with any questions or queries.
In summary, I would say Meadway is very good, and a 4.5 out of 5
Thank you for your kind words. We're very pleased to hear that you are happy with the care and support provided by our team. Your feedback means a lot to us.
Meadway is a wonderful care home. It really is a home, not an institution. I first got to know it when my mother-in-law was a resident and experienced the superb personal care she received. Since then I have volunteered and now visit different residents weekly. The staff are always so kind and welcoming and gentle with their 'family'. There is such an atmosphere of love and support but also respect and dignity. If I ever need residential care, I know I would choose Meadway!
Thank you for your kind review. We are very pleased to hear that you have had such a positive experience at Meadway. Your kind words mean a lot to our team.
Brendoncare Meadway has 12 permanent residents. It has a very friendly, relaxed, homely feel about it. All of the staff at Brendoncare Meadway have been very welcoming and kind. Everyone has made Mum feel at home very quickly.
The kitchen staff have been outstanding. My mum has a gluten and dairy intolerance. They have dealt with this brilliantly and sensitively. They have a very organised kitchen and have baked Mum gluten free cakes etc and have never made her feel awkward or difficult.
Mum has a lovely big room with an amazing view and ensuite bathroom. She is able to furnish it how she wants with her own pictures on the wall etc.
She thought she would miss her garden but Brendoncare Meadway have a beautiful garden with lots of places where she can sit and read a book if she wants to.
We are glad she is enjoying her room, the garden, and the care from our team. Thank you for your kind words, which we will share with everyone.
I usually would go for good as excellent is usually to strong a comment but in this case excellent fits.
A big thankyou to you all. You made his last months happy ones (and he could be grumpy). It was a weight off my mind too to know he was being well looked after.
Thank you for your kind words and for sharing your experience. We are pleased that your dad was happy and well cared for during his time with us, and we appreciate your feedback about our team.
I have spent a few weeks respite and can only say I would recommed this establishment for anyone needing care, particuly for someone who is disabled
All staff treated me in a friendly and dignified manner, they all deserve a boquet of thanks
Thank you for such a kind and positive review, we have loved having you stay with us and hope to see you again in the future.
Since moving my 99 year old father into Meadway I have been delighted and reassured by the very caring staff and management. It is a small, personal care home, with lovely large light rooms. The food is home cooked, delicious and nutritious. Everyone is very friendly and my father is happy and has settled in well. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for your kind words. We have truly enjoyed getting to know your dad and supporting him during this stage of his life. We're delighted to hear your positive feedback about the food as well, and having recently taken part in a nutritional study, we're confident this will continue to...
Home responded very quickly to need, making assessment on next day to enable very speedy admission.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you and your friend have had a positive experience with our service. We are committed to providing safe, supportive, and person centred care, and it's reassuring to know this was reflected in your experience. Your...
I like being solitary after a very busy and active life but I like it when the carers spend time talking to me and are friendly. I like the competitive items that the activities person brings to my room. I like having volunteers to chat to, including people of different ages and nationalities. I would like regular visits from the manager to discuss any issues that arise, and there are some difficulties in postage from here - I have to get my family to post things. I can now use a wheelchair for occasional visits out with family and I enjoy doing this. Bed poor.
Thank you for your honest feedback. I'd like to invite you to meet with us to share your experience and help shape Meadway's future, especially regarding the bed. Your insights will ensure residents are happy with any specialist beds we provide. I'm pleased our activities, care staff, and food are...
I cannot say anything other than I thoroughly enjoy living here with such nice people, so caring and kind at all times, even in the middle of the night. Thank you

My so-far stay of nearly 4 years leads me to thoroughly recommend it. The staff are unbelievably kind and patient, and the food is excellent.
There is nowhere like your own home but you will have a hard job to find anywhere nearer than Meadway.
Thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased that you enjoy living at Meadway and are delighted that you chose us.
Kind, helpful & caring staff. Clean and pleasant rooms adapted to the individual needs of residents. Particularly appropriate for residents who prefer a smaller more intimate home.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're so pleased to hear your kind words. I completely agree, we're lucky to have such wonderful and caring staff who always go above and beyond. And of course, we can't forget our amazing volunteers. Your support means the world to us!
Very comfortable - informed my ground floor room. All staff doing their best looking after residents to keep us comfortable providing varied activities and diet. Ready to adapt to individual requirements.
Thank you for your lovely review, it is a pleasure to have you staying with us.
My Mum is always happy to go to Meadway for respite care. She is greeted with a lovely welcome and the attention she received during her most recent stay was personalised and appropriate. Her room is comfortable and warm and she absolutely loves sitting in the beautiful garden when she can. It means that I can relax when we are away knowing she is well cared for
Thank you for your lovely review, we are so pleased to hear Mum enjoys her stays with us, we love having her.
I am afraid I don't know enough to put a rating for all the categories.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're glad to hear that your friend is feeling better and that you've found our staff friendly and welcoming. It means a lot to us that you've taken the time to share your thoughts. We'll make sure to pass on your kind words to the team.
I'm very happy to see how well looked after my mum is. She's getting the care that she needs, in a really lovely place. The meals are delicious, and I see that her preferences are catered for. The place is immaculate and feels more like a guest house. Having seen her struggle at home, she has improved a lot since she moved here. Thanks to all the team for being so nice - it's a tough job.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We absolutely adore your mum and feel so lucky to have her as part of our small community. It truly means the world to hear that you can see the outcomes of the dedication and hard work our colleagues put in every day across the home. Your kind words are a real boost to the whole team - thank you again for taking the time to share them.
The care team are extremely professional and Dad feels at ease in their company. They work well as a team, have a great sense of humour. The management staff are very efficient and maintain the smooth running of the home. There is a variety of activities organised, which Dad has appreciated and enjoyed.
I would highly recommend this small but perfectly run care home.
Thank you kindly for such a lovely review. I am glad to hear that your father is happy and settled with us here at Meadway and enjoying the care home. We thrive off of making a difference and tailoring care to each individual. Your father is a part of our care home family and we enjoy our laughter.
The staff are friendly, extremely caring, always willing to help and treat my father with kindness and respect. Communication with management staff has been very easy and positive. My family and I would thoroughly recommend this home.
Thank you for your lovely words, it is great to hear that your father is settled and you are happy with knowing he is well cared for. My name is Tayyaba Iqbal and known as Mona. I am honoured to serve as the Deputy Manager at Brendoncare Meadway. With over 16 years of experience in health and social care, I have developed a deep understanding of elderly care. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to providing high-quality, compassionate care to individuals, ensuring they live with dignity, respect, and comfort.
I have extensive experience working within a variety of care settings, collaborating closely with teams to create person-centred care plans that cater to the unique needs of each resident.
As a leader, I believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration. I am passionate about empowering staff to reach their full potential, fostering an environment where continuous learning and professional growth are encouraged. I am also committed to maintaining high standards of care and implementing innovative practices that enhance the overall quality of life for our residents.
Outside work I enjoy doing yoga, walking and gardening.

I have worked in the care sector for 36 years starting in a geriatric hospital, I loved every minute of my career working my way through many aspects of nursing, dementia, domiciliary and now residential care. Recently due to health I have stepped away from the care aspect but did not want to leave it altogether, so I find myself at the slightly less hectic pace of housekeeping, but still within a job I love, looking after people who need that little extra help. I have been with Brendoncare Meadway since 2022 and every day is like working at home.

I loved Meadway as soon as I stepped into the care home as it has a lovely atmosphere. Being a small care home I am really able to tailor the menu choices to the residents.
The highlight of my day is talking to the residents and getting feedback on any of the home-cooked meals they’ve just eaten, whether that was breakfast, lunch or even afternoon tea or snacks.
When I am not at work my hobbies are crafts with sea glass or mosaics.
