Brendoncare is a registered charity, dedicated to improving the quality of life for older people.

It runs seven care homes across the south of England, each with its own distinctive personality. The care homes provide a range of care services, including nursing care, residential care, dedicated dementia care, extra care, respite care and end of life (palliative) care.

Brendoncare's care homes are located in Winchester, Otterbourne Hill, Chandlers Ford and Alton (Hampshire), East Grinstead (West Sussex) and Marlborough (Wiltshire).

At Alton, Knightwood, Otterbourne Hill and Stildon, there is a care home, together with apartments and bungalows where residents live independently, supported by individually tailored care and support packages as required. All the day-to-day maintenance is arranged and managed by Brendoncare. Residents can access comprehensive care and personal support services 24 hours a day – including nursing care, personal care or assistance with domestic tasks.

Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill also provides a dementia-friendly community and resource hub with a restaurant, café facilities and activities for residents and people from the local community.

The newest care home, Brendoncare St Giles View, is the first in the city of Winchester to offer dedicated dementia care.

Brendoncare is driven by commitment to quality care. As a respected organisation among charities caring for older people, its aim is to aid and influence the future direction of healthcare in the sector. Driven by a commitment to quality care and a belief that an innovative approach is vital, Brendoncare continues to push forward standards of care.

Brendoncare's community support services are dedicated to enriching the quality of life of older people. It offers telephone and digital support together with a network of community clubs for older people who may otherwise be lonely.

I am very grateful for the care and consideration shown to my mother in her last two years when she was increasingly frail which coincided with her move from another care home to St Giles. In Nov. 2025 my mother reached 100 (which she had been determined to do) and in spite of her frailness she was
able to enjoy the day thanks to her carers. We had a small champaigne party and a delicious cake baked in the home's kitchens. Sadly just over a month later she died peacefully thanks to the good care she received, and I also greatly appreciated the kind attentions I received at that time.
Reply from Seva Hashimova, Home Manager at Brendoncare St Giles ViewDear Barbara

I have visited, but never stayed in a Care Home before but my health is such that I must seriously consider moving to one. My Bed Sitting Room is roomy, pleasantly furnished and sunny. My separate Shower Room with Toilet is coldish but well equipped. Meals are of high standard - varied, interesting
and nutritious. Guests are welcomed. The staff are friendly and welcoming and seem to know what they are doing! I have seen little of the Activities yet. A very positive experience and I intent to move here permanently.

Our father was admitted to Stildon nursing home after a month in hospital following a severe stroke. We always dreaded the day that this might happen to our fiercely independent dad. Right from the start the family felt reassured by the warm friendly attitude of all the staff. Combined with the professionalism
of the nurses we knew we had found somewhere special. The personalised care supervised and coordinated by a designated lead nurse ensured that dad had the best support and comfort possible until he died peacefully a month later. Highly recommended.
Reply from Katy Miller, Home Manager at Brendoncare StildonThank you for your kind and thoughtful review. Froxfield staff and managers have always been very caring and attentive to my mother, monitoring her every day and night gives me reassurance that she is being cared for and safe. I came - for the first time - for a brief visit and was very impressed by everything. I was late and was such a warm welcome and a meal, my friend's room is lovely, the communal areas are light and spotlessly clean.
I didn't see any activities though was told there had been a quiz that morning; and
I've no idea what my friend is paying.

I like being solitary after a very busy and active life but I like it when the carers spend time talking to me and are friendly. I like the competitive items that the activities person brings to my room. I like having volunteers to chat to, including people of different ages and nationalities. I would
like regular visits from the manager to discuss any issues that arise, and there are some difficulties in postage from here - I have to get my family to post things. I can now use a wheelchair for occasional visits out with family and I enjoy doing this. Bed poor.
Reply from Danielle Parnell, Home Manager at Brendoncare MeadwayThank you for your honest feedback. I'd like to invite you to meet with us to share your experience and help shape Meadway's future, especially regarding the bed. Your insights will ensure residents are happy with any specialist beds we provide. I'm pleased our activities, care staff, and food are well received-Jacqui's recognition in the Regional Great British Care Awards reflects this. I also acknowledge your comments on resident meetings; while these occur weekly and the deputy manager visits daily, I understand visibility may feel limited. Your feedback helps us make care and support meaningful, accessible, and beneficial so everyone feels part of the community we strive for at Meadway.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I contacted Brendoncare Froxfield under some pressure to find a home for my mother who had been hospitalized and was no longer able to live alone and care for herself.
I was greeted with swift and helpful attention and I very much liked the feel of the Froxfield home and it's facilities, especially
the residents lounge area and the lovely garden.
Mum received very good care whilst she resided at the home.
All the staff are compassionate and kind, the activities laid on for the residents are really good.
I am so pleased that I found Brendoncare Froxfield as it is not local to where Mum lived but I believe the right decision was made for her to live there.
Thank you so much to every member of the Brendoncare Froxfield team.
