Wisteria Lodge

My mum-in-law moved to Wisteria Lodge recently due to the closure of her previous nursing home. She and us as a family have been fully supported with kindness and dignity. The nursing care is extremely high and all of my mum-in-law's needs are met with great care. The home/staff create a homely care atmosphere. They allow for personal wishes and choices, e.g. meal times. I feel that as a family we too are fully involved and engaged in Mum's care. The home is about the individual's needs and quality of life.

Mum moved into WL, after a stay in hospital, for 2/3 weeks respite care. Within a few days she decided she wanted to stay permenently, her room is lovely, the staff are all happy, nothing is too much trouble. Importantly mum feels safe + well looked after.

Mum and Dad are receiving excellent care at Wisteria Lodge. There is genuine consideration for their wellbeing and everything is handled thoughtfully and professionally. My parents really enjoyed their trip to the pantomime, which was well organised. I feel confident that they are in safe and caring hands

The care and love provided to my mother during the 1st few months of care was truly amazing and hugely appreciated not only by mum but also by her family. It was a huge relief to know she was so well looked after. It was very clear that all the care and help provided by all the staff was 100% genuine and not through there duties. Thank you so much, I cannot thank you enough.

Best care home in the area, I can't fault them on anything, always go above and beyond. I know dad is being cared for properly and is well looked after. He is much calmer and is enjoying activities.

From the first time I visited it felt homely and friendly, my experiences going to other homes for my mum this one was by far the best I was so happy I got my mum into Wisteria. They are very good at looking after mum, any problems they are on to them and get them resolved. I have no issues to complain about.

My mum has Alzheimer's and is 91 years old. She was assessed in the hospital by Wisteria staff who agreed to take her. Mum was very confused and didn't understand where she was, and occasionally wandered into other residents' rooms by mistake. On one occasion, she was found climbing up some very steep stairs - there was no gate to stop her. Mum became very upset and wanted to see me, when she couldn't, she threw herself on the floor. The clinical manager phoned and said they could not keep her after this. Just after a couple of days.

I have received very pleasing comments from other visitors, especially family.

Wisteria Lodge is a loving, caring nursing home, residents and staff are one big happy family. My husband has resided at Wisteria for two years. I have peace of mind knowing that he is well cared for and all his needs are being met.

Since my dad has been here he and I are both happy with the care and facilities. The food is excellent. Always offer a drink and even a pudding today. Well done all.

My partner has only been here for two-and-a-half weeks following a bad experience in another home where his care needs were not met. This home has been amazing from the start, they are delivering the care they promised for my partner, the staff are so kind and caring and make everyone welcome. They were quick to respond when an emergency happened and made sure my partner was treated following a procedure making him safe and confident he was in the right place. He tells me they are all lovely and he's happy here. I would recommend this home to anyone. The manager cares.

My father has been a resident at Wisteria Lodge for the last two months, he has enjoyed a friendly time whilst being a resident, every member of management and staff have been professional at all times, it's run like clockwork and everyone is very attentive to any situation and my dad was very settled. With my Dad's failing health we as a family could relax knowing Dad was in a safe, clean, professional home and was a pleasure to get to know everyone during my dad's stay at Wisteria Lodge, excellent in all areas.

My review was exactly as I knew it would be. All my questions were answered and I'm very pleased with all aspects of my mum's care.

My father came here in January following a quite horrible experience in a previous care home while under D2A assessment and I genuinely thank god that he did! The staff are simply fantastic and his room is bright and calm with a lovely view. The place itself is spotless and the care he receives is second to none, we couldn’t be happier. It really feels like a family and the staff are brilliant with my mum when she visits him there, really treat her like part of the family. My father was bed-bound following a stroke and in the previous home and in hospital there was never even a consideration to change that, thank the lord for Wisteria. This year with their help we’ve been able to get him into a custom-fitted chair in his room and he’s now even going downstairs and taking part in the numerous different daily activities that the staff put on. There is a beautiful terrace garden and garden room and he’s now able to visit them and sit in the sun. An amazing place, thank you Wisteria!

The home is like a home from home. Fully supporting and friendly. The staff are all approachable and helpful. The approach is always professional and caring. Everywhere is always spotless and well-maintained. Happy to recommend the home to anyone.

My mother has been at Wisteria Lodge for a few months and from day one she has received the best care possible. Everyone is kind and attentive to her needs. They treat her very well and look after her. My mother suffered a stroke and has quite complex needs and everyone at Wisteria has done the utmost to assist with all aspects of her personal and medical needs and to keep her comfortable.

My mother has been a resident for the last four months. She is confined to bed and confused. We had good reports from two other residents' families and from our initial visit, and throughout our time here my mother has received excellent care and attention from all members of staff, and we have been treated with care and kindness. Communication is very good and any concerns have been immediately acted upon. We could not wish for more and have complete confidence in every aspect of care.

My brother-in-law has been in Wisteria Lodge for nearly a year, during that time the care he has received has been superb. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that he is as comfortable as possible. Nothing is too much trouble. We are always made welcome when we visit and refreshments are always offered. The whole building is immaculately clean and the staff are brilliant.
