The care and professionalism shown and delivered by the staff are faultless. The high standards of cleanliness are immediately evident on entering the home and are seen in every area. The activities team work hard to organise a varied programme of fun and stimulating activities which promote a relaxed and friendly feel within the home. I would definitely recommend Wisteria Lodge to family and friends if they are looking for a care home for a loved one.

My Father moved into Wisteria Lodge at the end of June 23 but sadly after a few days his health unexpectedly deteriorated and we lost him a few weeks later. The staff could not have been more supportive and helpful to my Father and my family during his short visit. They were proactive, caring and so friendly. I would thoroughly recommend Wisteria Lodge to anyone looking for a comfortable home from home for their loved ones. The rooms are lovely and the food is varied and excellent. The staff also make sure visitors are offered refreshments when they visit relatives. Even the laundry was delivered with pride, everything being returned to his wardrobe fresh and clean.
The nursing team are first class and very professional. They were marvellous.

I was so impressed with the culture in the Home. It seems such a happy place. It was a wonderful team effort and everyone contributed to make it a perfect home for my Father.

My mum is in the best place, she enjoys the friendly atmosphere and gets excellent care from all the staff. The nursing staff are always on hand to help and respond so quickly to any medical issues and concerns. The activities team do an amazing job and are very creative and supportive with Mum's physical condition. The whole team have a good understanding of communication to all parties. This makes it an excellent, well-run home.

The care my mum has received at Wisteria Lodge has been nothing short of exemplary these last three years. It is like one big family, always fun and laughter, activities every day (which family get to see on our social media page). Fantastic communication with relatives leaves me confident that Mum is in the safest and happiest place she can be in. Thank you Wisteria from the bottom of my heart.

Mum came to Wisteria last August, broke my heart to put Mum in a home but I need not of worried as they all are the most kind, upbeat, cheerful carers that you could ever meet. They truly are my angels as I can go home after a visit knowing Mum's in safe hands and settled. They ask Mum what she would like to do, eat, how she feels etc, treating her with such dignity which each client deserves. A big shout out to the staff for their professionalism and kindness, cannot praise all the team enough.

My Mum enjoyed 28 months of excellent care at Wisteria Lodge. The home is small, very friendly and fixtures and furnishings to a very high standard. What makes Wisteria Lodge such a special place is the staff, many of whom have worked there for a long time. As we were visiting daily it became our second home and got to know everyone, from the manager, nurses to the catering staff. My Mum was treated with kindness, dignity, compassion and care and we could not have asked for better as she ended her life there in December. We would recommend Wisteria Lodge with our hesitation and if you are reading this and considering it for a loved one you would have made a very good choice.

My mother has been at Wisteria Lodge for five months.
Her needs are more than met by all the staff employed.
The bedroom ensuite is kept well decorated, maintained, clean and tidy with extra care to little details, e.g. watering flowers and plants, placing cushions and ornaments in reach or sight of Mum.

Mum's personal care is excellent. Catering and activities are good and cater to individual needs. Caretaker and cleaning, laundry and management are always on hand and chat to residents as they work.

Mum spent the last 3 months of her life at Wisteria Lodge and we couldn't have chosen a better place for her. Her newly decorated ensuite room was clean, bright and airy, as did all the rooms appear to be. The care and attention given were excellent and the staff were ALL brilliant, so caring and patient with mum and friendly to all visitors, always offered refreshments. The food always looked and smelled delicious. Attractive decking area and lounges available for those able to get around. A wide range of activities offered if desired. Lots of staff available for the resident's needs. I really thank them all.

Mum moved to Wisteria in Dec 2014, after a stroke, with severe cognitive and mobility issues but their excellent care, friendliness, and inclusiveness of the hands on activities and entertainment programmes brought her back out of her shell. Mum really enjoyed her time there, and we were always happy she was safe and well cared for. Following a further stroke 3 years later, she returned from the hospital for end of life care and was treated with the dignity and respect she deserved until she passed away just before Christmas.

Her room was paid for the month so we, understandably, left its clearance until after the holiday. Wisteria didn't clearly inform us of the contract clause stating the extra week's charge after clearance for making good, and we were presented with an unexpected week's bill that could have been avoided. A single day's charge was deducted in apology, leaving us with 6 days costs and a bitter aftertaste to what should have been a lovely memory of Mum's last few years.

We were very impressed with the home after receiving many recommendations from friends. The staff were outstanding in their care of our loved one. They got to know our loved one really well and catered to his every wish. If he wanted anything they would get it for him - usually vanilla ice cream or lemonade. We are so grateful to the staff for making our loved one feel loved and supported during our loved ones stay at Wisteria Lodge. Outstanding.
