What I am really saying is that I'm so grateful to everyone - managers, girls on reception, careers, housekeepers and the dear lady delivering the laundry. You are all such special people. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Sharon Howe started her career in the care sector over 20 years ago and progressed to management level whilst at Belmont View residential home, where part of her responsibilities was to manage an effective respite unit and day care centre. Sharon then went on to manage two other Homes within the organisation before returning to be the Home Manager of Belmont View in January 2013.
As Deputy Manager, I ensure the best quality person-centred care is delivered to all our residents. I am passionate about the Rhythms of Life ethos and promoting this within the home.
The Deputy Home Manager shares responsibility with the Home Manager for running the home. Deputy managers will each bring their own skill set to the home, some offering more assistance with the business side of things while others focus largely on care. However, whether they look at it from a business or care perspective, the focus of the Deputy is always to ensure that their home is offering the very best quality of life for our residents. Experienced and either holding or working towards their qualifications, Deputy Home Managers are capable and driven to provide the best of everything for their residents.
I enjoy being able to provide an enjoyable. Quality food experience for the residents.
I enjoy my work mostly because of the variety I find in it, but also because it gives me a chance to keep things organised and to meet and interact with people.
Keeping the team of Housekeepers running as it should is the Housekeeping Manager. Supervising and organising their teams is just part of it as these Managers work alongside them to keep the home clean and inviting. The comfort of residents is the most important thing to our Housekeeping Managers which is why they work so hard to create an environment in which residents can’t help but feel at home. Multi-tasking and communication skills are some of the most important of the Housekeeping Manager’s qualities as they and their team create a home where resident's dignity is never compromised and independence is always encouraged. Our Housekeeping Managers ensure that all areas of our home are safe, clean, well-maintained and presented in a way to creates a warm and homely environment. They have an important role in maintaining our infection, prevention and control standards to make sure our residents stay well.
I enjoy my role as a receptionist because no two days are the same. It is a people-focused job which allows me to have a lot of contact with residents and their families. I am often the first point of contact for the care home, which enables me to make a great impression from the get go. I am always busy, often multitasking, and I enjoy my job as I provide support for the admin team as well as to residents, families and colleagues.
