When choosing a care home for my elderly mum, I was unimpressed by the many that I visited. However, Margaret House clearly stood head and shoulders above all others in the area. The reason is that all staff, whether carers, administrators, managers, or housekeepers, are committed to the care and welfare of all residents. Every interaction in the past year has been positive. I am delighted that we chose Margaret House, and my mum is very happy living there.

A very happy atmosphere with carers attentive to the needs of the clients, as nothing ever seems too much trouble. The attractive gardens outside are a great bonus and very easy access, much enjoyed by my husband. The food and meals out are very much appreciated and looked forward to. The care home seems very well organised, and the arranged hobbies seem enjoyable.

Margaret House gave a home to my 91-year-old mother-in-law for the final weeks of her life early in 2025. She had severe dementia and was bed-bound with numerous physical problems. She needed constant total care, which the staff at Margaret House provided to an exemplary standard with great patience, compassion and skill. I say this as a former nurse and would recommend Margaret House to anyone needing to find excellent care for an elderly friend or relative. It may not be a new-build "luxury" care home, but Margaret House's ethos, care standards and staff are second to none. My father-in-law is now a resident himself and is happy and thriving in this lovely and supportive home.

My mother has been at Margaret House for six months and the whole experience has been excellent. The accommodation and staff are brilliant, it is a lovely place to live. We chose the home because of the family atmosphere that radiates from staff and residents. The social calendar is full of events and activities that Mum joins in with and she is having a new lease on life. The visiting system is great with no appointments required. We can just visit whenever passing. We are delighted and would highly recommend it.

Margaret House was our only selected care facility for my mother-in-law. From our very first visit, we were welcomed by guests and staff. We were impressed by the overall family atmosphere which was the basis of the home. Facilities are excellent, the house itself being set in beautiful manicured grounds. Activities are thoughtfully put together and enjoyed by all. My mother-in-law who is 93 years of age has flourished at Margaret House.
