Margaret House

A minor weakness is in communication sometimes messages are not passed on, or calls returned. But overall an excellent home.

Margaret House is an excellent care home. My mother has resided here for 14-months, and her care has been exceptional. Even during the Covid virus pandemic, whilst I couldn't see her, I never worried. I know she was in the very best hands, kept busy with activities and everything she needed. I would highly recommend Margaret Hosue for any elderly persons care.

We cannot recommend enough the kindness and dedication of all the staff, and especially through the covid19 lockdown.

My mother-in-law has lived in Margaret House for just over 5 years. It is a fantastic home and she has had exemplary care throughout her time there in both wings of the house. The staff are very caring and go the extra mile for residents. Management keeps families fully informed and support the resident's individual needs. Highly recommend to others.

I have been visiting my friend in Margaret House for well over a year now, and I am always made to feel most welcome when I walk in. The carers are so friendly and my friend is always so well cared for and supported if she is feeling under the weather. It is good to see her looking so much better when I visit again.

The staff at Margaret House are extremely kind and caring. The food is good and there are sufficient activities to keep the residents occupied. Since my dad has developed a bowel problem, they have been very good about keeping him and his room clean.

If all homes were like Margaret House there would be no complaints anywhere. You have made me feel, from the day I came in, part of the family.

My father was here and was treated with total respect. The care staff could not have done more for him or me visiting almost daily. The activities were very good, especially music, entertainment and dance. This really stimulates someone with dementia. The cleanliness was outstanding, like a hotel. This home is like a huge family where residents and their families are welcome all the time.

The staff have a caring attitude and treat residents as individuals.

As a home goes it must be one of the best.

My father was a resident in Philomena, the dementia unit at Margret House, for two years before his death last month. He was very well cared for by the staff during his stay. The home itself was relatively new, bright and airy. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen/dining areas, where the residents would congregate, were very welcoming. There was a very well kept garden for residents and visitors to enjoy. The staff, in particular, make this care home what it is - a warm, caring environment where I was very happy to have my father stay for the last two years of his life.

The garden is very attractive and a great bonus, especially as my mother, loves being outside. The staff are all very kind and have time to be with the residents, there seem to be a good variety of activities and I am very pleased I chose Margaret House.

Good activities to get people involved. Room clean and pleasant 10/10 for effort.

Lots of cups of tea and biscuits cake in the afternoon. Great communication with friends and relatives when poorly. Lots of varied activities available.
