Overall Experience

My mother spent the last eight years of her life at Robin Hood House, ending in her peaceful death in September 2018, and the care and support that she received went way beyond what you could reasonably expect. The home is calm and welcoming, decorated in a peaceful homely way that the residents recognise. They spend their days in the communal rooms and so feel included in everything. All the staff are superb, they really care about the people in their charge. They are constantly laughing and joking with the residents, making the atmosphere happy and relaxed. Our wishes as her family were always important, there was regular contact regarding health and wellbeing, and in the last months, as her health declined, her needs were accommodated completely. The activities are well organised, there are regular trips out, and she was even taken away on holiday to the seaside on three occasions. I would recommend Robin Hood House to anyone who is looking for dementia care for a loved one.
