Pinewood Lodge care home is situated in a quiet residential area of South Oxhey and offers a range of care services including residential care, specialist dementia care and respite care. The home also offers day care services for older people, an ideal service if you are caring for a loved one but need to take time off and just want to know that your loved one is being well taken care of for the day.

Within the home you'll find a number of welcoming areas including inviting lounges and dining rooms as well as cosy corners and other areas. Each bedroom is ensuite, full furnished for residents' comfort and comes complete with amenities including a nurse call system, Wi-Fi and a TV. There's also a café where residents can sit and relax with family and friends over tea, coffee and other refreshments.

Outside the home, the beautiful landscaped gardens offer residents a the perfect place to relax in the spring and summer months.

My former neighbour has been resident for coming up to 2-years. I have always been impressed by the care they receive, but the Lodge has done an amazing job in the face of COVID-19. They have arranged outside visits, hence I could see one of my friends. It was difficult to see people I have known for
nearly 30-years move into a home, but the fantastic staff means I need to have no concerns. Thank you to all.

My wife and I made an unannounced visit to Pinewood Lodge for the first time last week to visit a couple who were close friends of my parents. We were greeted in an extremely professional and considerate manner, provided with a discrete update of their condition and immediately given the opportunity
to sit with one of them. When our friend went for lunch we were taken downstairs to meet with her husband. Here also there was a lovely caring atmosphere and staff were genuinely pleased that we were visiting their client.
As someone who has recently retired from a senior position with a disability charity, that operated care homes, and understands the pressures on the care sector, I can say without hesitation that I was so very impressed by the quality of the physical environment and by the considerate nature and the morale of the staff. Everyone we met wanted to do as much as they could for the residents and for us as visitors. With special thanks and appreciation.

As a family, we have found the home surroundings and care at Pinewood Lodge wonderful. An awful lot of effort is put into not only making our Mum feel safe and happy but also us as a family. The staff are always on hand to help and always have a happy caring attitude. It has made the huge change of
Mu leaving her home and going into a residential home a lot easier. Highly recommend this home. We are all very pleased with it.

We found the care home very welcoming. The staff are all friendly and always helpful. There are activities every day and residents are free to join in as they please. Mum has settled in very easily and it is comforting to know she is looked after and cared for 24/7.

Mum has been in Pinewood Lodge since 16th April since my Father died. She has dementia, is very sad and lost without him. Staff at Pinewood Lodge are exceptionally kind and caring. The rooms are always clean and tidy, although the toilet/washrooms-em-suite are dated, could do with updating. Laundry/labelling
service is very good. A relatively quiet, stress-free care home. I am happy my Mother is in a clean, safe place with caring staff.

The majority of carers and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely care about the residents. Managers were always ready to listen to any concerns or suggestions about dad’s care. If they had concerns about dad’s health, they would promptly book him in for a visit from the
doctor. He was treated with respect. His room was nice and there was an ensuite toilet and washbasin. It was clean. The record keeping was up to date and I was invited to regular meetings to review his care needs during the five years he lived there. The food always looked nice, residents had a choice if they had the mental capacity to choose. Snacks were available. They had a regular pub night. Family were made welcome when they visited, I could walk in there at any time and go and make me and a dad a cup of tea, or the carers would offer. I was given much-needed support by the staff during the last few difficult months of dad’s life.

I have found the carers excellent in their care and always willing to help and treat my family with utmost dignity. I am very happy with the care and the care

I find that every time I visit Pinewood Lodge, Any time of the day I am greeted with smiling face, a cup of tea and a genuine welcome.
The staff are always friendly and helpful and I leave knowing my mother-in-law is always being well looked after and as long as she is happy. That's good for our family.

My Mother has been at Pinewood Lodge since October 2016. For 50 years she lived in Yorkshire, but at the age of 93, had to go into care. I live in North London so needed somewhere nearer. After visiting many care homes, Pinewood was on top of my list. The lodge is clean, well run and extremely friendly.
The staff are very professional, helpful and pleasant. They regularly check to see if she is safe and needs anything. This is still a bit daunting for her as she has been so independent but I know she is safe. There are many activities but mum has little mobility (can't hear or see very well). The staff are very enthusiastic and make special events Christmas, Easter and birthdays special. Mum has always been a meat, 2 veg and potato person and has her main meal at 5 pm. She is slowly adjusting to different dishes and having it at 7 pm

I have been impressed with level of care. Carers are very helpful and know my dad very well. He has a lovely room which is always warm. I have no concerns at all and feel my dad is well looked after. Staff are always polite to me and have time to listen and talk with me. For that I'm thankful. The food
looks fine to me.
I cannot comment on activities as my dad doesn't want to do any.
