The care is always excellent but, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the owners and staff have gone out of their way to provide a safe and happy home for the residents. Extra provisions of PPE for the staff coupled with testing facilities for both staff and residents have ensured all are kept safe. Sadly, visitors have been prohibited during the past three months but, again, this has ensured our loved ones have been kept away from any likely sources of infection.
The brilliant news is that the owners are trialling safe visits in the garden so we are looking forward to seeing our loved ones again shortly.

Lavenders has always provided the best in care and support to its residents and their families but has excelled itself at this very difficult time. Well done to the manager and your team and thank you.

Lavenders has been and continues to provide a caring homely place for my mother. During the COVID months, the efforts of staff to keep the residents safe is ongoing and appreciated. The presentation of the house and garden is always excellent. Rooms are clean and staff are caring, providing not just a space to live but a 'home' that continues to provide a life experience to enjoy.

Lavenders is a caring residential home, excellent staff caring and experienced. The home is well run in a beautiful setting in the Kent countryside gardens are picturesque and well maintained. Rooms are clean and comfortable with all the appropriate amenities required by an elderly person. Meals are all freshly prepared and not bought in. A good choice of breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are numerous activities organised by the staff and outings in the in-house bus. The residents are encouraged to participate in these various activities if they want to. Hairdresser and chiropodist when required. Regular visits by a local doctor. The residents are allowed a television in their room or can watch with other residents in one of the communal lounges.

Visitors are welcomed at any time and not a set time allocated by the staff.

My mother moved to Lavenders 18 months ago and neither she nor the family has had the least regret or concern. It is superbly well run and the residents are at the heart of everything they do. The owners do not stint at making the surroundings as safe and pleasant as possible. The staff too are loyal and go above and beyond to create a friendly, homely environment. Family members are also treated with respect and consideration at all times. I can particularly commend the home for its approach during the Coronavirus pandemic. Every conceivable care and precaution has been taken to keep people safe and happy. Thank you all so much.

I have been really pleased with the care that Lavenders have given my mother. She is fitter and happier now than she was when she lived independently. All of the staff are caring and professional, the food looks and smells delicious, and the whole place is spotlessly clean. There are plenty of varied activities for residents. Lavenders have been particularly good at keeping in touch and providing Skype access during lockdown. Lavenders provides high-quality care for my mother and peace of mind for the rest of the family.

I have been very happy whenever I have phoned or visited my cousin at Lavenders. The staff are always helpful, cheery and most of all very caring towards the residents. I have always felt that my cousin has been in very safe professional hands. The ambiance of Lavenders is felt as soon as you enter - beautifully clean and always looks so bright and welcoming.

The care given to my father is first class. He has enjoyed and participated in most of the social activities for a long time. He is now unable to join in events but he is not forgotten by the staff. He is happy to refer to the Lavenders as his home and the staff do everything that they can to make the Lavenders a home for everyone.

I cannot fault Lavenders. My mother has been there six months and although she found it hard to start with, she is very happy now. All the staff are wonderful, caring and kind. Any problems, medical or general, they are fast to resolve it. It has a lovely, homely feel, warm and inviting. The food is great and always has homemade cakes, everything is freshly cooked. I would not hesitate to recommend Lavenders.

Lavenders is a caring and clean home unlike some which greet you with the smell of urine and décor of some distant past. Their décor is fresh and modern. The folk who live here have always liked nice things and a nice home, not too much to ask now they need extra care. I would definitely recommend.

Lavenders is an exceptional care home. Residents are treated with dignity and compassion, they are provided with an array of opportunities to socialise during the week,m while at the same time having their privacy respected. Set in beautiful grounds, Lavenders feels like home. The buildings are far from institutional and the team of carers create the feeling of an extended family. My aunt has been delighted by the care she has received.

Lavenders is a family run business. Staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is done with a smile and with patience. Many staff members have been at Lavenders for a long time.
The environment is delightful - lovely gardens that are accessible. The rooms are well decorated and homely.
Management is efficient and professional but also very caring, kind and efficient.

I honestly cannot fault this care home for the way it treats every resident - and their visitors - with the utmost respect and care.

My mother is 94 years old and lived independently in her own home until she was temporarily hospitalised following a fall.
She has since transferred between three care homes.
The first was unsuited to her needs (it was a nursing home rather than a care home).
The second was in an old Victorian property where she had a top floor room accessible only by lift so she could only leave her room when staff were available to operate the lift. She spent several days and most nights locked in her room.
In contrast, Lavenders has been a revelation - ground floor room, good food, regular entertainment, lovely caring staff, medication/hearing aids etc dealt with conscientiously.
Grounds to walk in, close to the village.
In short, everything she could ask for.

I cannot commend this home highly enough.
