My mother in law has been resident here for 8/9 months and I have been very pleased and happy with the care and service she gets. I am impressed with the range of activities available and have always been made to feel welcome whenever I visit.

When it came time for my grandmother to move into a residential home, I was extremely anxious about it. I honestly felt there wouldn't be anywhere I would be happy to leave her. Bridge House has totally proven me wrong. The rooms, food and activities are great, however above all, the staff are fantastic, caring and hard working. I can confidently say that my grandmother is happy here, something I did not expect to happen.

Aunt was so happy living alone but the families decision to move into care was the best thing for Aunt as she has settled so well and loves the new environment, activities etc. Meals are enjoyed and thankfully we have an amazing chef who likes to tempt the taste buds.

I am very pleased that I chose this care home for my mother and so are all the friends and relations who have visited her in the two months she has been there. She is 91 and her dementia was getting worse and she had a mini-stroke, but she is settling in well.

In spite of recruitment problems, the staff could hardly be better at what they do. We visit anytime we like, usually with our dog and are always made to feel at home.

My mother-in-law has improved since she moved to the home in December 2016 she looks groomed, well looked after- clean clothes, hair cut. She feels better. She keeps saying- "this is such a pleasant place, can't be better!" She has slightly improved mentally- more relaxed, less complaints about her state of mind (she has Alzheimer's since 2013) This all big thanks to the staff- nice food, clean place and a lot of activities to stimulate the brain.

Bridge House provided the loving care and homely comfort that put us at ease to have mum a resident. The whole team from the manager down including the cook all contributed to mums well-being over the 5 years she was a resident.

I have just returned home after visiting my sister who lives in Bridge House at Elstead. Bridge House is like a beautiful hotel very nice and friendly staff. Lots of activities are provided, today it was musical movements, cake making and icing which they enjoy.

I found the home very clean and welcoming. My friend has settled in well and was enjoying the care and food. I did not visit whilst any activity was being done but it seems they have varied entertainment and activity throughout the week. One suggestion would be nice for visitors to be offered a drink. Parking could be difficult if all residents had a visitor at the same time.

My mother was a resident at Bridge House from 2011-2016. She passed away on 8th May 2016 at Bridge House. The care she had from the time she became a resident until her death aged 101 was second to none. The staff were caring and kind to mum and the family cannot praise them enough.

This review is what I have seen when visiting. I live next door so a long connection. I have felt when I have visited that all the staff are so helpful and seem to really care about those in their care. My friend speaks most highly also of the care he has received over several years. I have visited to join in with a church service held in a side room and yesterday there was an intervention to tea and cakes to support the Alzheimer's society which was well attended and again the staff were great.

Our mother has been in Bridge House for over ten years. She is beautifully looked after, her needs met particularly as they are changing as she becomes frailer. She is very happy there and it is her ‘home’. One of the reasons we chose it so many years ago (apart from the fact that it was the only one we visited that didn't smell) was because it had the feeling of being a real home and not a large purpose built institution - with approximately 26 rooms it was in our opinion an ideal size. Staff and residents are a ‘family’ and some carers have been there since she first went there. Issues are dealt with promptly. It should be noted that the home has an excellent local GP Practice with an amazing response if there is a crisis. The food is very good and the lovely chef is involved in the life of the home. It is particularly well managed and most of the common areas have been updated recently. The garden is pleasant with plenty of shade and lovely for the residents in summer.

It was with an initial heavy heart, my sister and I finally succumbed to finding a care home for our dear mum.

Bridge House did not disappoint. Nowhere compares to our own home, but Bridge House staff have ensured that this is as good as a close second place as it gets. Mum is treated with dignity by them and supported.
They are loving, caring, cheerful individuals (mum loves them all), they are always to hand to make you feel comfortable and welcome when paying a visit, nothing sees too much trouble.

For us thus far, 5 stars all round!!!

My mother was welcomed in to Bridge House by lovely friendly staff. She has a small but cosy bedroom and is always nice and warm. The meals are very good and mum is encouraged to eat which is good. There are daily activities by a lovely friendly lady. When we visit we are always offered drinks which is nice as it is a long drive for us. I cannot find anything to criticise.

Mum was admitted to Bridge House in September 2015. We as a family have found them to be extremely warm and friendly and have made the transition to a care home very reassuring for both the family and mum. She is happy there. The food is very good. Activities every day. Trips are organised. Mum is always clean and well looked after. No unpleasant smells. Décor is clean and bright. They have made the home feel like a home from home. Very pleased.
