Bridge House Care Home offers high-quality residential care in an idyllic setting for up to 30 elderly people.

Bridge House is an impressive Tudor-style building that dates back to the 16th century and although it has been modernised with two large extensions many of its original features have been retained.

The home benefits from 2 spacious lounges, both of which overlook the beautiful extensive grounds.

Situated in Elstead, Surrey, Bridge House can also extend its services to look after those with temporary respite care needs, thanks to a dedicated team of carers.

I cannot recommend the staff @ Bridge House enough. Firstly - the bus.dev. manager is magnificent! My mother vacillated in & out of hospital. The dates had to change for ingress into BH. The bus.dev. manager dealt with this with both compassion & professionalism. Once in the team were all without exception
caring & kind. Mother only spent 10 days there & passed there. But she was contented, resigned & comfortable. Huge PRAISE to your team, they & the bus.dev. manager are a credit to your organisation. Thankyou for my mother's comfortable leaving.

My father was moved to Bridge House to receive end of life care. We couldn't have been happier with his care during this stay. The manager were very approachable and happy to speak to you at any time. The carers looking after my dad were very friendly and gentle and treated him with care and dignity.
Each time we visited, which was a lot, the home had a comfortable cheerful atmosphere. We thoroughly recommend Bridge House.

The staff are helpful and very welcoming and the care given is great, the building itself can be a bit of a job for some of the residents as doorways and steps which make it difficult. It would also be nice if the residents could make more use of the lovely gardens.

Mum has been residing at Bridge House Care Home since April 2023.
Mum is very well looked after and cared for and is happy in her day-to-day being at Bridge House.
She enjoys the interaction she has with fellow residents and all the staff.
I am always very appreciative of the support and encouragement
Mum receives and am very grateful to all.
I feel it is important that Mum's personality remains and I enjoy watching the interaction, banter and friendships she has formed.
I always find Mum to be dressed appropriately, well-fed and joining in with the many various activities.
I'm so grateful to all the staff for their care and kindness and good communication which allows my mum to be safe and well looked after and gives me such peace of mind.
I really enjoy my visits to see Mum weekly (more if I could) and joining in when able with activities etc. or just sat having a cup of tea and a chat with Mum and her friends... Mum is the most precious person in my life and I could not be happier that she is at Bridge House.

Since my dad arrived in the home in March 2022, I have had nothing but great things to say about all the staff and the home. My dad has settled in really well and loves being there.
Communication has always been great and I feel very happy leaving Dad in the home's care.
Thank you to all the staff

My mum had a fall and was admitted to hospital, staff were, once again, amazing and stayed with Mum until an ambulance arrived, kept my brother and I informed at all times. Mum was in hospital just over a week and two members of staff came to visit to see how Mum was and making sure that she knew they
were all waiting for her back at the home. Mum is now back in their safe care, ensuring that my brother and I do not have to worry. Once again, thank you for all you do, you are all amazing at Bridge House Care Home.

Everyone at Bridge House Care Home, staff-wise, is very kind, friendly and happy. The atmosphere at Bridge House is warm and gentle. My mother has been residing there for eighteen months and is very content She loves her room, the view across to the trees and enjoys the occasional chat with the staff.
For myself, as her daughter, I am secure in the knowledge that she is cared for and safe. Thank you Bridge House.

Our loved one has received the very best of care at Bridge House Care Home. The homely, caring atmosphere and very dedicated staff have been without fault. He has always been spotlessly clean, neat and well-dressed in appropriate clothing. His room is always very clean with freshly washed bed linen
every day. Food and laundry are also excellent. All efforts are made to ensure he is well and comfortable and all his needs are met. We would rate Bridge House Care Home as excellent in every aspect and is highly recommended.

Mum has always been opposed to the prospect of living in a care home. But sadly, living on her own had become untenable.
She has settled in well, and feels this is now home, largely due to the care and kindness of all the staff.
We are hugely grateful to the management and all the team - thank you
all.

Having a parent need to go into full-time care is a very difficult and emotional situation, both for the parent and the children making that decision.
Living some distance away and unable to visit as often as I would like made this particularly difficult for me. There are several reasons why we chose
Bridge House for the care of our mother. It is our 'home' village, close to where my sister lives and my father spent a short time there many years ago.
I am very happy we chose Bridge House. On my visits, the staff have been incredibly helpful and friendly, and listening to the care and patience given to all residents has been very comforting. When I am phoning, the staff are all helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about Mum, and help to put my mind at rest that Mum is getting the attention she needs.
Many thanks to all the staff for their help, support, patience and understanding in what must be an incredibly difficult and demanding job.

My mother had a fall at home and moved into Bridge House at short notice. She was very confused and hardly eating and constantly anxious. Two months later, she is settling and putting on weight and enjoying the extensive activity program. The staff have endless patience and are very kind and caring.
It feels like Mum has moved into an extended happy family.

The staff are flexible and responsive to residents' needs and preferences. The staff are warm and empathetic in their contacts with residents and with their relatives. When my brother visited a number of care homes in the Godalming area, to find one for our family member, he told us that he knew Bridge
House was the right place, just from going in, before speaking to anyone. The atmosphere was then and still is calm and relaxed.

My mother initially came to Bridge House in November 2021, for a brief respite and chose to stay on a permanent basis. The care and friendliness of the staff including the management, carers, reception, housekeeping etc, is exceptional. My mother is a new woman since moving there. Thank you Bridge House.

Current Review Score: 9.6 (9.604)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.6 (9.604) out of 10 for Bridge House Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.704 for Bridge House Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (76 Excellents x 5) + (32 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.704
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.9 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bridge House Care Home is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 registered maximum number of service users is 6, which has been reached with 9 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
