Bridge House Care Home

Mum has been here for two years and is very happy and comfortable. The staff are great.

I would highly recommend Bridge House to anyone looking for excellent care for a loved one.

I am happy for my father to be in Bridge House. I feel he is well looked after but still allowed to maintain his independence. I feel that they have gone above and beyond to accommodate his needs e.g. providing him with a room key also being very diligent in keeping me informed when I have had concerns about him.

My experience of Bridge House Care Home has been very positive. The staff have always been friendly and welcoming. My elderly mother is at present bedridden and receiving high-quality care. The staff are very aware of her physical needs they turn her regularly and try their best to tempt her to eat. She is happy and content with the care she receives.

The staff are protective of her right to be treated as an intelligent adult and I've found this aspect of her care excellent. She is safe, warm, happy, clean and comfortable and has made lots of friends. Thank you.

My Aunt has been well cared for at Bridge House for a number of years. She is now very frail and dependent on help for most things. Whilst no care home can be perfect, Bridge house and the staff team are high up on the scale! And much appreciated, especially as I live in the North of Scotland and my visits are limited to 4 or 5 times a year. Visitors are always welcomed and free to spend as much time as they wish with their relative/friend.

All staff from management down are all so caring and nothing is every too much trouble for them. Our grateful thanks goes to them all from myself and my daughter. I have visited friends in much more luxurious homes but nothing compares to the homely, friendly feeling at Bridge House.

Every time I visit there is a very welcoming atmosphere. Staff are kind, helpful and caring. There is always some sort of entertainment for the residents and they seem happy.

My mother-in-law was very frail and malnourished when she first came to Bridge house. A spell in a local rehab hospital was unable to care for her needs or get her to eat but after a short while at Bridge house, she was back to her old self. Very happy and well cared for. She speaks highly of all the staff who try to encourage her to take part in the fabulous activities.

Each time I have visited my sister I was made very welcome and was very pleased with the relationship between the staff and the residents. I have noticed my sister's improvement in attention and her long-term memory as well as her contentment in being in a safe place. She is taking care of herself and is dressing better as well as relating to other residents.

I used to live in Westbrook Hill and visited Bridge House then and I was so impressed, had no hesitation bringing my sister in law there when her time came. There is always a friendly welcome and the residents are all so happy and chatty. May you keep up the valuable work for years to come.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I have no worries at all concerning my brother. He is looked after very well it is like home from home, the food is excellent. I cannot fault it in any way.

A very well run care home. The staff are helpful and kind. You get a homely feel when you walk through the door.

I came to visit my friend and had lunch which was delicious. Everything in the home is excellent. It does not feel like a residential home but a real family home. The house and gardens are beautiful. I will be attending the events that are taking place in the summer.

The premises are of a very high standard of cleanliness the residents are well cared for nothing is too much trouble for the staff looking after them, they are very helpful and caring. I have the highest praise for them.

My mother has been at Bridge House for several years now and has just had her 96th Birthday there. I am absolutely delighted and relieved with how happy she seems to be there. The staff ALWAYS open the front door with a smile and treat my mother with caring, friendly respect. The home is surrounded by lawns and trees which my mother especially loves and she has a lovely view from her window. There are plenty of activities and she never seems bored or lonely or depressed. I have been to many "posher" and more luxurious care homes but Bridge House has a really friendly down to earth "villagey" feel to it and the staff seem to stick around and are committed to their residents, unlike some places which are like "dead" 5 star hotels. Celebrations like Christmas, Easter and Summer Fairs are lively and relaxed with lots of visiting dogs and children and laughter.

This is a beautiful facility and a perfect place for my mother to spend her last few months. The staff have been unfailingly helpful and kind.

She died receiving exemplary care and support after a long and adventurous life.

I cannot praise the staff too highly.

Bridge House was truly her home and the staff became part of her family. It also speaks highly of the home that a number of the staff who welcomed her in 2006 still work at Bridge House.

I cannot recommend Bridge House highly enough. The entire team cared for my mother-in-law with great compassion, kindness and professionalism. When she died in her beautiful room, surrounded by people she trusted to care for her, I know it was the best possible end to her long, adventurous life. Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Bridge House.
